Why, you do? I said yes. You did? Yes. Well how come you didn't say so before? You never asked before. Oh yeah. I guess I was always too busy thinking up stuff to say. You know, to impress you. Radar, you don't have to impress me. I think you're nice when you're unimpressive. Gee, thanks. Wow. That's about the swallest thing anybody ever said to me. Oh Lyle, I was so proud of my nurses today. I was proud of you, you know. It all flows down from the top, just like this 12 year old scotch. They did everything so beautifully. Here's a toast to you, Margaret, and your wonderful staff. Now, let's talk about you. Oh no, we've talked enough about me. And your future. What about me? I have an opening on my nursing staff in Tokyo for a lieutenant colonel. But I'm only a major. Yeah, you're a major, but in Japan. We could do wonderful things together. Oh, we sure could. A triage program for all the nursing units in Korea. If we have time. Oh, Lyle, first the divorce and now this. It's like a wonderful door has been opened up on my life. The door was always open, Margaret. All you had to do was walk in. It'll be like old times. Romantic suppers at the officer's mess and cool night strolls with the cherry blossoms. And a billet for a nightcap and a game of escaped convict and the warden's wife. Is that what this promotion talk is all about? Oh no, no, no, no, no, no. The promotion's legit. I'll make you a colonel. A colonel in charge of what, your boudoir? I'm a head nurse and a damn good one. What do you think that demonstration out there was all about, anyway? At ease, Major. You know how the game is played. You rub my back and I'll rub yours. I'll rub my own back, thank you. How dare you assume such a thing? Oh, come on, Margaret. I know you better than that. You have the talent, I have the clout. Now let's get together and have a few laughs. You haven't been listening to me, General. I'm not a pushover anymore. Get yourself another clay pigeon. You're gonna hate yourself in the morning. Get out of my tent, General. Are you sure? Out! And that's an order. Okay. Major. Here's to me. If I told you Kentucky Fried Chicken is like six Kentucky nuggets and a special bumper-sized pack of chips for just $3.45, plus you get a free can of Coke, you'd have to admit that's the best value snack in town. But then if I told you you could get six pieces of chicken plus two special bumper-sized chips for just $9.45... And you'd also get two free cans of Coke, you'd have to say, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And you'd also get two free cans of Coke, you'd have to say it was the best value meal in town. Bumper snack, $3.45. Bumper meal, $9.45. But you'd better be quick. What you got for lunch? New Cotty's Fruit Snack. Tastes really great, cause it's all real, pure fruit. Nothing else, just pure fruit. New Cotty's Fruit Snack isn't messy, and there's no skin. New Cotty's Fruit Snack's. Great for kids with an apple and a half in every cup. Hey, Mom. Think I'll have three Cotty's Fruit Snacks for lunch. Got a couple of girlfriends, have you? Kids love New Cotty's Fruit Snack for lunch. Heavy duty powder from Toilet Duck. A powder so powerful, it may be best to close the lid. New Heavy Duty Toilet Duck Powder. The new power amongst powders. The Jonesville Pacific Festival. Where the carnival never stops. It's a Knockout is on again at this year's Pacific Festival, with loads of fun and games for everyone. Hey, we're thrilled you could join us because this is a very, very special night for us. It's our first opportunity to introduce you to our international ambassadors of music, The New Generation. And I'm talking about Danny, Vince, Natalie, Bebban, Loringa, and from Los Angeles, California, a great talent of Keith Williams. As well as that, we've got lots of fun Young Talent Time style, a very sad moment when Australia says farewell to the beautiful pandas, and of course, all the usual stuff that you like to see. But right now, let's introduce you for the first time to those great kids taking international television by storm, The New Generation. Ooh, I love the morning, morn, morn, mornin'. The mid-rest of my storage really make you feel alright. And the Northern girls with the way they kiss, they keep their boyfriends warm at night. I wish they loved to be California girls. The rest goes as the sunshine and the girls are warm so tender. I dig a punch bikini and a wild wild flows by a boundary in the sand. I've been around this great little world and I've seen all kinds of girls. But I couldn't wait to get back in the States but don't do this now, do no well. I dig a dog. I wish they loved to be California girls. Alright! I wish they loved to be California girls. You know people often ask us, what's it like being on television? Is it a really glamorous thing? Do the kids have limousines that drive them everywhere? And I guess they have big plush dressing rooms with television sets and all the luxuries. Well if you really want to find out what happens when the Young Talent team and New Generation go on tour, have a little look because we took a camera backstage before the show and this is what really happens. This is our old car wardrobe department. As you can see we involve everybody in it. This is our wardrobe mistress Jean. Smile at the camera Jean. And this is Natalie Jane Miller's mother, Mrs. Miller, who gets to do something for her living as well. You're doing a great job and she's on a diet by the way. Come I'll show you more. One and two and three. Just put them on the board. Sorry to interrupt but this is a rehearsal and Jillian Fitzgerald is putting the kids through their paces in between shows to make sure that they've got their routines right. And she works them hard too. Just about as hard as the ground on which they have to dance, which happens to be gravel. Show them Craig. Oh! Big finish. Shh! You have to be very quiet here because this is the makeup department and there are artists at work. You see they take a very ordinary looking Tasmanian like this young man here and they turn him into a fabulous looking television superstar. Well done girls. And this is the most exciting part of the whole backstage area because this is the star dressing room. I wonder who's in here today. Sorry I'll try another one. I'll do it properly this time. I think I'll knock. Hello! Oh hi Danni! Hi Carol! I was just chowing everybody around a little bit of a guided tour as to what happens behind the set. What are you guys up to? I was just doing a bit of designing. Oh for your label? Yeah. Have you seen Danni's clothing label? It's fabulous. D-A-N-N-I-N-N-I. Not as in the way you spell your name? Not as in Danni, I was in Danni. As in Danni. Double I at the end. I didn't know that. She's got two I's. No wonder she looks so good. That's kind of funny. Are you enjoying her range of clothes Carol? It's great. She's a very talented girl. She is. Thank you. Yeah very very good. Listen the reason why I knocked on your door is because there's a real special surprise you see. Because young Timmy Nelson who's another behind the scenes person. Come over here Tim. He doesn't know we're going to do this. See Tim it's Timmy's birthday today. And so we thought we'd sort of get you guys to sing a little happy birthday to Timmy. Come on in gang. Here we go. Are you ready? Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday Timmy Timmy. Happy birthday to you. Hip hip hooray. Hip hip hooray. Hip hip hooray. Happy birthday Tim. And he's a beauty too. Works very hard on Young Talent Time. Now behind the scenes of course. Okay you would have noticed there there was Danni of course who's with the new generation and her mum Carol Monogue. And while they were standing there backstage we heard the sound of a particular song that I think might be familiar to them. And with a little bit of luck as a matter of fact we should be so lucky. Here is that song performed by Ricky Arnett. I dream about you all the time. In my mind is celebration, the sweetest of sensations. Thinking you could be mine. In my imagination there is no hesitation. We walk together handed in hand. I'm dreaming. You fell in love with me. I fell in love with you. But dreaming's all I do. It's all in the country. I should be so lucky lucky lucky lucky. I should be so lucky in love. I should be so lucky lucky lucky lucky. I should be so lucky in love. It's the craziest situation. You always keep me waiting. Because it's only make believe. And I would come around and just give you all my loving. If one day you would notice me. My heart is close to breaking and I can't go on thinking. I'm dreaming that you're in love with me. I fell in love with you. But dreaming's all I do. It's all in the country. I should be so lucky lucky lucky lucky. I should be so lucky in love. I should be so lucky lucky lucky lucky. I should be so lucky in love. I should be so lucky lucky lucky lucky. I should be so lucky in love. Beautiful young Ricky that was gorgeous. You're Kylie Minogue fan? Yes. You a Danny Minogue fan? Yes. Are you a New Generation fan? Yeah. Well the New Generation comes right up after we have this little break. Thank Ricky everybody. I challenge you to buy any part at a better price during the 13 day war at Simpson Air Nissen. Welcome back everybody. What are you laughing at? Come in here Ricky. That's the biggest panda I've ever seen. Golly gosh. Is this one of the ones that they have at the Sydney Zoo? Yes. Is this one Zao Zao or Fei Fei? Fei Fei. I think they're going to... It's not really, it's just a replica of it. And I believe they're going back to China soon via New Zealand? They've just left Taronga Park Zoo. Have they? Did you get a chance to see them and sort of check them out before they left? Yes I did. Did we have a camera there? Yes. I bet we did. Okay let's take a little look at that. I'm in Sydney and I've finished rehearsals and I'm really enjoying the sun, the beautiful view. Then I thought why not say hello to Xiao Xiao and Fei Fei who are visiting Australia for our bicentenary. This is Xiao Xiao and he's four years old. And this is Fei Fei and she's only three years old. They are both giant pandas and were born in China. So there are less than 1,000 pandas in the world today. For a long time pandas were thought to be bears because they had the same size, shape and sharp teeth like bears. But they don't hibernate like bears and they don't eat like bears. Their skulls and stomachs are like the raccoon family so no one can really say exactly which family they're from. We'll just say they're pandas. Aren't they gorgeous? I really love the pandas. The two of them are so cute. So I had to get something to remember them by. But I couldn't decide which one I wanted. Oh well. Ah what a beautiful report. Thank you Ricky. Did you enjoy that Fei Fei? Beautiful. Okay. You know the interesting thing about the two pandas is they're still too young to have babies and there's very very few pandas in the world so hopefully when they grow up they're going to have some more baby panda bears. Because they really are very beautiful. And after all you know what they say, it just takes two baby. It just takes two. Here comes from our new generation Keith Williams with our beautiful Ricky and that song. I have a dream baby. Two can make their dreams so real. One can talk about being in love. Two can say how it really feels. One can wish upon a star. Two can make their wish come true. Yeah. One can stand alone in the dark. Two can make their light shine through. It takes two baby. It takes two baby. Me and you. It just takes two. It takes two baby. It takes two baby. To make a dream come true. It just takes two. One can go out to a movie looking for a special treat. Two can make that special movie something really kind of sweet. One can take a walk in the moonlight thinking that's really nice. Two walking hand in hand is like adding just a touch of spice. It takes two baby. It takes two baby. Me and you. It just takes two. It takes two baby. It takes two baby. To make a dream come true. It just takes two. It takes two baby. It takes two baby. To make a dream come true. It just takes two. If I told you Kentucky Fried Chicken is offering six Kentucky Nuggets and a special bumper size pack of chips for just $3.45 plus you get a free can of Coke, you'd have to admit that's the best value snack in town. But then if I told you you could get six pieces of chicken plus two special bumper size chips for just $9.45 and you also get two free cans of Coke, you'd have to say it was the best value meal in town. Bumper snack, $3.45. Bumper meal, $9.45. But you better be quick. Skona tastes such a dream of real fruit. Skona's got coconut, peanut and sesame seeds. Super sound sticks. Play them anywhere. Super, super, super sound sticks. Do your own tricks with the super sound sticks. Do your own tricks with the super sound sticks. Young Cullinan time, super sound sticks from Hunter's Caesar Toys. Yeah, was that a beautiful song? Yes. What's your name? Kimberly. Hello beautiful Kimberly, you giggle pot. Kimberly, can you sing? Yes. Would you like to sing for everybody around Australia? What are you going to sing? I Should Be So Lucky. Okay, well let's hear you sing. I Should Be So Lucky, Lucky, Lucky, Lucky. You are so beautiful. Kimberly, have you got a little giggle as well? What's your joke? You tell me your joke. Why did the giraffe have a long neck? I don't know. Why did the giraffe have a long neck? So he can't smell his feet. So he can't smell his feet. That's very funny. Well, listen, seeing as you're such a beautiful girl, are you enjoying our concert tonight from Wonderland? Great place, isn't it? Yep. Okay, well we've got one of your favourite young talent team members, Joey D, set on stage. Who's going, yeah, and he's going to do a song for you, Twist and Shout. So do you want to introduce him? Okay, you say, and now here's Joey D to sing Twist and Shout. Now he's cool. Joey D. Now he's Johnny D. To sing? To sing. Twist and Shout. Twist and Shout. Come on, come on, come on, baby, now. Come on, baby. Come on, work it on out. Work it on out. Yeah, work it on out. Work it on out. You know you look so good. You look so good. You know you got me going now. Like I knew you would. Like I knew you would. Yeah. Ah. Ah. Ah. Take it off, baby, now. Take it off, baby. Twist and Shout. Twist and Shout. Come on, come on, come on, baby, now. Come on, baby. Come on, work it on out. Work it on out. Yeah. Well, having fun tonight and welcome back everybody, I'd like you to meet one of my very dear mates from Young Talent Time, the beautiful Natalie Jane Miller with a friend. Does he have a name? I don't think so, not yet. He's just a beautiful little white rabbit. It's a little baby one. Natalie Jane likes baby rabbits and all sorts of baby animals and we sent Nat to the zoo the other day. Yeah, I had a great time. I saw lots of little baby animals. Did you take a camera? Yeah, I did. You're going to show it to us? If you want me to. Do we want it too? Okay, well, let's have a little look at Natalie Jane at the zoo and some interesting little baby animals. This is Chloe the baby wombat. She's only 16 months old and she's going to grow three times the size when she's full of growth. And to think she only started off the size of a thumbnail. Her favourite foods are sweet potato, carrots and wholemeal bread and she's so cute, aren't you? Here at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, there is a nursery called Friendship Farm for baby animals who have been orphaned or injured. These are Kashmir goats and this kid was born only a few weeks ago. So to make sure he'll grow up big and strong he's fed special cubes called kangaroo cubes, which have all the nutrients in them that goats need. This is Cricket. He's a one year old flying fox whose mother was killed when he was younger. The people here at the zoo have kindly hand raised him. Did you know that bats do everything upside down? They sleep upside down, they eat upside down, but when Mother Nature calls they go the right way up, don't you? This may not look like a baby but he's only a year old and already he's learning tricks. These little piglets are only five months old. They are fed spinach, apples, corn, bread and any of the scraps the zookeepers have left over. They also get a few cubes added to their food to ensure good health. And of course it wouldn't be a nursery without bunnies. And thank you to all the zookeepers for doing such a wonderful job of looking after these beautiful animals. The freedom everyone has. They care for each other with no question of cause. They deserve to be treasured as the source of the love. In their minds there are answers and in time we will know what the truth is about, oh we don't know. They have no room for hatred, though they suffer much pain from the race we call human war. If I can only help to ride around my dolphin song, then I've done what I've set out to do. If I can only be one man aware, one person care, then I've done what I've promised to do.
