In case you received these files from somewhere other than Archive.org, their home lives here: https://archive.org/details/whiz-kids From Wikipedia: Whiz Kids is an American science fiction adventure television series that originally aired on CBS from October 5, 1983 to June 2, 1984. The show was created by Philip DeGuere, who had also created the detective series Simon & Simon for CBS in 1981, and Bob Shayne and produced by Universal Television. DeGuere also served as executive producer. The series starred Matthew Laborteaux, Todd Porter, Jeffrey Jacquet and Andrea Elson as the titular “whiz kids”, a group of teenagers who became amateur detectives using computer technology to solve mysteries. The show also starred Max Gail as an investigative reporter and A Martinez as the commanding officer of the local police precinct’s detective squad. Although the series experienced a notable backlash from critics for its portrayal of teenage computer hackers, the program garnered four Youth in Film Award nominations for its young stars, as well as a fifth nomination as "Best New Television Series" of 1983. CBS cancelled Whiz Kids after one season, with 18 episodes produced. As there has never been a 100% complete official release of Whiz Kids in the nearly 40 years since its debut, this archive aims to prevent Whiz Kids from becoming lost media. The highest resolution source in this archive is the incomplete DVD from 2016 that was released only in France, which includes episodes 1-9 and 11-14. The videos default to English, but many video players will allow you to select the second audio track. Subtitles for French are available on episodes 1-7 and 12-14. Episodes 8, 9 and 11 are French only, and are missing subtitles. In the future I hope to add English audio to the French-only episodes. The quality of the DVD episodes ranges from good to poor, with some displaying constant flickering. If you are sensitive to flicker, please be careful. The VHS episodes were all recorded off the air and are generally poor, but are still watchable. Most of the VHS recordings were from the syndicated release of the show, and as such the network removed several minutes of each to leave more room for commercials. I do not have access to any physical VHS copies nor do I know anyone who does, so unless someone else comes forward there is no opportunity to re-digitize them at higher quality. Shortly after their third episode, the Whiz Kids also appeared in a crossover episode in the third season of producer Philip DeGuere's hit show, Simon & Simon, airing on October 27, 1983 in the United States. That episode is also provided here for completeness.
