Justice Angelo Vasta is facing the sack from the Supreme Court tonight after the parliamentary
judge's inquiry found his behavior warranted his removal from office.
The panel of three retired judges found that when five separate issues were considered
together, the behavior of Justice Angelo Vasta warrants his removal from office as a
judge of the Supreme Court.
His indiscretions included giving false evidence at the inquiry, making and maintaining an
allegation that the former Chief Justice, the Attorney General, and Tony Fitzgerald
QC were involved in a conspiracy against him.
The Premier will announce the recall of Parliament to debate the judge's report.
