Welcome to the jungle We got fun and games We got all that the baby wants Welcome to the jungle We got fun and games Welcome to the jungle Welcome to the jungle Let's start this party with a little direction Raise your hands, come on, and stomp your feet Here I'm looking for complete affection For get-up says, come on, get off your feet Here I'm looking for complete affection Come on, come on, come on Come on, come on In today's 6th round, we will have a 30-minute one-man show In the red corner, No.205, Miyato Yuko No.220, Sano Aoki Naoki Sano from Hokkaido, 28 years of age He's a real trier, an ideal companion in this duo Where he fights with Yuko Miyato from Kanagawa Known as an all-rounder, certainly a small man in a big man's sport No.230, Akul Silva No.225, Kazuo Yamazaki Kazuo Yamazaki from Tokyo, a huge favorite with the crowd Arguably the No.2 in Japan Again, an intriguing combination With Mark Silva, the new boy from the USA, only 23, still learning And with the ideal teacher So, as these two teams square off, apprehensively Silva, Yamazaki in the red corner Sano, Miyato in the blue corner The crowd, really looking forward to this And the popularity, Ted, for Yamazaki was quite incredible Yeah, you heard everybody cheering him on as he walked in And it's pretty intense in there, they're trying to decide who's going to go up first You see the look in the eyes, they're ready to go It might be cold, as I said earlier, but there's plenty of heat under those lights And it's not just coming from those lamps No, I'd have to say it's pretty hot in there right now Look at that flying kick opening from Yamazaki This will be an interesting confrontation These two excellent all-round stylists, the new WFI Ooh, belly-to-belly suplex by Yamazaki and Miyato Miyato, the smallest man in this tag team tonight We see Yamazaki right now, he's trying to apply a clock-head scissor hold And he's doing a pretty good job right now Miyato could possibly be in trouble I think the face said it all there Miyato showing a lot of pain, but on his feet Moving around, showing no effect I don't know about no effect, but he's ready to go And it's going to take a lot more than that to put him away tonight Yamazaki, Miyato, similar tides Yamazaki with the light blue, royal blue You see Yamazaki with a crescent kick, then a rolling savate Which happens to be one of Yamazaki's specialties, as well as Miyato's Yamazaki waving Miyato off Almost arrogantly saying away, and Miyato saying, you come to me Miyato's telling the referee to do something about that He's upset that he wasn't coming out Although these fighters meet one another regularly, there certainly is no apathy when they meet They really want to go for one another But as you said, that ladder's there, and they all want the number one spot, held by Takada It doesn't matter who they're going up against They know that whoever's any kind of adversary who's standing in front of them Is somebody they have to climb over to get on the top And everybody, believe me, everybody Any profession you're in, you always want to be at the top, at the pinnacle I'll agree with that Yamazaki tags Mark Silver Silver, a very much improved fighter Yeah, and you notice how much bigger Mark Silver is than Miyato Ooh, nice suplex takes Miyato over, and I'm sure he felt that Look at the size difference between Silver and Miyato Yes, and I think Miyato's noticed the size difference And it's handed over to Sano Who should fare a little better You notice Mark Silver's gotten really bigger Yes, I was about to comment on that, Ted, I mean Seems to be needing the extra weight, because here's the advantage Well, you notice he's been doing better in his last couple of matches And he's picked up a lot of techniques And he's one of the few American fighters to pick up some striking techniques And we see him from time to time throw a lot of knees and low kicks And he tries to do some open hand blows as well It's a good effect Sano in the gray trunks Also giving a good account of himself Ooh, face lock It's an interesting shoot sign for Silver Silver knows where the ropes are and has found them Well, even though young Mark Silver might have the size and weight advantage Experienced speed and technique would have to go to Sano tonight And he's not exactly intimidated going up against a larger adversary As Mark Silver's trying to set up an ankle lock and a face lock on Sano I think Sano's advantage was having a baptism by fire in fighting Takada For his very first fight Seems to have developed, experienced his overall abilities Concentrating it into UWFI standings And he doesn't have too many surprises that he whips out He pretty much sticks to his game plan And he's always calm until he finds an opening Like right there he thought he found an opening And he immediately goes for the cross lock on the knee He doesn't waste any energy He stays calm and when he sees the opening then he explodes Very intelligent fighter, very focused But it's Silver that isn't focused at this moment in time As most of the experienced fighters are, they never waste energy when it's not needed Keely's tendon hold by Mark Silver I think Sano will be able to reverse it I'm sure some of our female viewers will be happy to see A female photographer there amongst the press crew Well, she has one of the best seats or best places to watch the fight From spinning back kick by Sano That was impressive Came around with a rolling savate But he's in danger of being suplexed right now Mark Silver gives up Sano was good, he dropped down And when you drop down forwards it prevents your opponent from getting under your center of gravity Which makes it possible to take over for suplex Many people might think it's strength But suplexes aren't strength That too, as well as submission holds, are all leverage Yes, leverage of technique Gotta get those hips well low Good leg strength and endurance And explosive power Mark Silver with the upper hand position right now It looks like he's going for a front face lock A possible takeover with a suplex Pushes in the corner Here we go Here comes in Kazuo Yamazaki This should be an interesting matchup As you see Yamazaki just waking up the muscles It's a little chilly there But he'll soon warm up The crowd loving Yamazaki's entrance into the ring Good kick to the midsection But Sano's a little bit too fresh He blocked that Oh yes Hey, good stuff from Sano Nice side suplex But you notice he took him over with a side suplex But Yamazaki quickly went on top of him Reversal after reversal Excellent all-round fighting here No, I thought he was going to go for the Achilles tendon hold But he went for the cross lock on the knee And once again Sano trying to reverse it on Yamazaki You see how quick these reversals are And from the normally expressionless face of Yamazaki We start seeing some grimaces of pain This is really an exciting matchup Yamazaki versus Sano I've been waiting to see this one And referee Wada with the shooting sign And actually Sano makes Yamazaki escape to the ropes 21-19 in favor of Miyata and Sano As we see here The normally cool Yamazaki makes for the ropes One thing Sano has to worry about Yamazaki Besides Yamazaki's excellent open hand blows and kicks and knees Is Yamazaki's deadly suplexes But we've seen...oh There's a good ankle lock But we've seen Sano in the past with good belly-to-back suplexes And belly-to-belly suplexes Like when he fought Yoji Anjo earlier Sheet sign there Sano Straight shoulder arm bar And he's using his legs with it to get that extra leverage And it looks pretty stretched out, it looks straight Once you can straighten out that arm That applies the pressure But he's out of it Yes And not only do they escape They think about escaping while catching another limb And setting up their own submission hold Yes, for every action there's a reaction And they think well ahead as you say They're about two or three moves ahead And they think that even if they throw a kick They already think about the case in case they get caught Miyato watching That's one thing that we see from Yamazaki a lot Even though he throws the kick As soon as somebody grabs the kick and takes him down to the ground He quickly will reverse it with an arm bar or something He's thinking in case he messes up those moves And that's a smart intelligent That's a sign of an experienced fighter As you say with this pairing and this tag belt It seems pretty evenly matched to me And we can see great technical exchanges Maiju with attacks like that from Yamazaki But it's caught again by Sano Good knee and good kick to the head But Sano catches it, he kicks him Here we go, he might take him over Yamazaki feels it coming He doesn't need that belly to back suplex And traps his leg on the back of Sano's knee To very skillfully avoid And Sano has his own variation of trying to avoid Sleeper hold You notice how Sano defended against He blocked that suplex Sano took him over with a one arm drag But Yamazaki's still not letting go of the sleeper hold I'm sure Sano's really feeling that I'm not sure if everyone was checking for an airway then Wants to make sure that he's not choking or anything Referee Wada has to be on top of the action One point is lost Mark Silva tags Yamazaki, silver shank Good flexibility and mobility as well You notice he shows very good flexibility for a big man Well Miyata now comes to the stage I'm sure that Miyata's not going to be intimidated By Mark Silva's striking techniques But he better watch out once he gets on the ground Because of the strength and weight advantage However, I'd have to say when it comes to submission wrestling Miyata definitely has to have the experience and technique Over Mark Silva, the newer fighter Miyata distinguishable by his height Silva definitely tearing over him See how quick Miyata is Right then Mark Silva tried to go for a hammer lock on the ground But he saw Miyata just spin right out of it And he's already up in the standing position And he has Mark Silva hurt with those kicks Mark Silva was doing a good job at blocking him But they're starting to go through Fireman's carry Cross lock on the arm, that could be it No, his arm is a little bit bent He's going to have to straighten it out Shoot signed by Wada That was close Excellent speed and technique by Miyata I think you showed there David and Goliath stuff, look at this Well that's submission for you Miyata would have taken a lot of heart from that He's going for the straight shoulder arm bar right now The crowd loving this This would be a major upset if it was won within this particular exchange Good knee by Mark Silva and Miyata felt that Trying to take him over but unsuccessful You notice how Miyata dropped down and he blocked that suplex really well Miyata talking to the referee saying it's a break He wants to get back on his feet Silva doesn't want to allow him that opportunity Miyata not too happy about that He thought that the referee should allow him to stand up again Well in my view with all that extra weight Silva's carrying It doesn't bay well if Miyata chooses to use his favorite technique Jumping to that would be devastating I think to Silva's midsection And I'm sure Miyata has the technique and the ability to be able to set it up If he just can get his distance in the standing up position Once again he's going for the face lock We see chutes signed by Watan He has a pretty good face lock He's really twisting Mark Silva's head behind him I don't know if Mark Silva's ever seen the movie Exorcist But that kind of reminded me of it I don't know about that I'll tell you something, Silva's now beginning to apply Nice forearm Yes, beginning to apply that pressure You notice Mark Silva's a little bit cautious about rushing in Miyata slapping him and then He touched out but the referee said you tagged out, go away Look at this, he clumped him one and then went Well I might just tag and then he wanted to come back in but it's Sado who's in there Miyata certainly showing that he's not intimidated by Silva here Oh that was a nice jumping spinning kick there A little bit too close in range, he couldn't get it on that But yet again, Sado showing great ability And a great adapting to this system Yeah he definitely has adapted very quickly and he's really holding his own Even against people like Yamazaki He showed a great performance against Takada Now he's going to take Mark Silva over with a double arm suplex from the front Mark Silva looks a little bit stunned Well if there was to be the most improved fighter in UWFI I think that would have to go to Sado Well in my book either Sado or Gene Lydek, they're the most improved fighters The newest fighters who are really adapting to the style well But Mark Silva himself, he's really adapted well And he's adapted a lot of striking techniques And I think we're going to see a lot more of those striking techniques Once Yamazaki walks in the ring and takes on Sado Yes I think Silva got a little bit out of sorts there Was beginning to feel a little tired But Yamazaki goes to work Caught Sado's kick Ready to take him over Oh takes him forwards Setting up the Boston Crab Yes that hurts Sado, this will be interesting Will he be able to hold on? That's it into push up position Well as long as he's not sitting on his back It'll just be the ankles that'll have the pressure applied on him The crowd gasping there thinking it was all over Spinning pressing kick but Sado catches that, he sees that Ineffective there You notice Sado did a smart move instead of moving away from that kick Which he would be in danger of catching a heel to the jaw He moved into the kick so he actually caught the kick with the calf rather than the heel For anybody who does any martial arts who want to take down the textbook Way to handle kicks It's not always the case of moving back, you move straight in and take the balance away Sado executing excellent defense there But for many an unexperienced fighter naturally I mean the human tendency is Your first reaction to a kick is move away from it But he moved into it and caught it with a calf And that's what saved him, STF Oh Yamazaki again showing the expression of pain Shoot sign from Refuwada, he's tugging his way to that rope That was a deadly STF right there and Yamazaki's in trouble 19 points To 17 Front face lock, he's taking him over trying to set up for submission He's trying to go for that double wrist lock Just saying, Silvia Yamazaki leading, 19 to 17 Close bout, good action, great atmosphere Mark Silver really pushing his way with strength into that submission Only a one point gap now Good kicks by Sado but Mark Silver's doing a good job at lifting his leg and blocking those But catches the knee Sado really has impressed me and he has great technique He tried to go for that suplex but unsuccessful Sado tags to Miyato I'm looking forward to this Resuming their competition of some minutes ago Pulled Miyato Look at that There it is, no it missed He's getting a little bit over excited but the kick to the mid, the spinning back kicks missed But the kick to the midsection took him down Yes, it opens up the first significant gap in this tag bout, 18 to 14, look at this Yep, it was that one that took him down, the rolling savants missed but Oh and Silver passes on to Yamazaki Silver's going to need some time to recover from that In the meantime we see Yamazaki with his long powerful legs You notice Miyato did an excellent job at blocking that high kick but it's still the powers going right through that block Yes Double shoot sign Which has now been left to a shoot sign Directed only at Miyato 15 minutes into the bout, Yamazaki has a good ankle lock on Miyato Miyato's in serious trouble, he has the edge There's no way he's getting out of that, he's going to have to escape through the ropes and he does and loses a point Back up in the standing position I'd like to see a little more kicks Well let's step away and see For Miyato I don't think he wants to be going up against Yamazaki Probably skill, technique and experience wise They're pretty much equal but I'd have to say Yamazaki might have a slight Upper hand, especially with the size and strength difference And I'd like to see Miyato get up and start kicking Yes, he's most definitely the more experienced, dominant and most popular of the quartet tonight Another point lost, Miyato escapes through the ropes 16 to 14 And here we see these two resume again It's almost like two single matches in there instead of a doubles match Nice combination there by Silva He's really showing some good technique and ability here Yeah but that spinning back kick really wasn't enough to connect but It looked nice It looked nice But against Miyato I don't know if he's going to be wanting to throw too many striking techniques Miyato willing to take them on Normally questions are raised about big fights like this being hosted and staged in outdoor arenas But once I speak the crowd obviously thought it was something incredibly funny I was just about to say the atmosphere is electric They're concentrated, they're attentive and they're enjoying it Oh definitely everybody's enjoying this one tonight As they fight it out in the center of the ring Miyato still looking for that big opening Miyato really effective with those open hand blows He's really hitting him with the heel of his hand That was a nice uppercut And Mark Silver can't be a stationary target and take too many of those Once again we see Sano And there's Miyato tag to Sano Silver tag to Yamazaki A tale of two fights And they're fighting and Sano has got one good low kick and Yamazaki's in trouble Look at this Sano dishing out to Yamazaki what he normally dishes out to such great effect And the crowd loving this Another rolling savant that kind of missed and slipped over But Yamazaki in trouble from previous kicks And every kick he's getting through That's the amazing thing But a headbutt to the body Belly to back Cross lock In the middle of the ring That's it What a great fighter Yamazaki is Yamazaki knew he had to end that quickly and he certainly did And that shows experience He's been around the block a little bit longer than anybody else in the UWF internet Look at that picture perfect Belly to back German suplex And he sets up the cross lock And he knew he had to end it He knew he was in trouble and that shows experience And he did Look at Sano in pain Submitting Oh what a classic bout and your winners for tonight Yamazaki and Mark Silver That was a great bout Silver congratulating his partner And Yamazaki really did perform a brilliant escape back there Look at this Beautiful SDF I mean I'm surprised that didn't put Yamazaki out right then and there But he has a lot of pride and he wasn't about to lose to that And let me see here Miyato taking on Silver One of the exciting exchanges in this very, very, very big bout And here Yamazaki very desperate, didn't hurt He knew he was losing He knew he had to pull something out and he pulled out this picture perfect Belly to back German suplex And set up that cross lock arm bar And took it Amazing I don't know what to say I think it pretty much speaks for itself doesn't it Jeff? Yes The fighters were great The techniques were great And what a finish Yamazaki Silver Arms aloft Victors Over Sano And Miyato
