Hi, I'm Kristen and I'm a tour guide here at Universal Orlando. If you're looking for the family vacation of a lifetime, then you need to come to the family vacation capital of the world, sunny Orlando, Florida. And in Orlando, there's no more exciting place to have fun than Universal Orlando. Even if you've been here to Universal Studios before, you won't believe all that's new and different for you to see and do. I'm going to show you all we have to offer and how to plan a great vacation here at- They're filming a video. Laurie, what are you doing? Hey, look at this. Hi. Hi. Guess what? We're telling everyone all about what Universal Orlando has to offer. Come on, let me show you. Okay. Okay. Let's begin with Universal's two amazing theme parks. Here's our newest, Islands of Adventure, Orlando's next generation theme park where the world's most innovative, cutting-edge rides and attractions take your imagination where it's never gone before. First of all, Universal Orlando is in a great location. It's convenient to the airport and the beaches. Once you get here, you've got two great theme parks to choose from, Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. You can buy individual tickets for each theme park, but if you're smart, get a multi-day ticket so you can go back and forth to both theme parks. And believe me, you need at least a couple of days to see everything about these theme parks. At Islands of Adventure, you'll find five remarkable islands, each themed to a different kind of story. Let's go. You've got ancient myths and legends at the last continent. Ancient myths and legends? Dr. Seuss's children's books at Seuss Landing. Yeah, cool. The incredible world of Jurassic Park, all your favorite cartoons and comic strips at Toon Lagoon, and Marvel's Superhero Island where comic book heroes and villains battle it out. That sounds like fun. Let's go. Well, here we are. I can't wait. Come on. Let's head to Spider-Man. All right. All right. Here's where you're going to find the most unbelievable 3D ride ever. The amazing adventures of Spider-Man. You feel like you're really flying through the city. Nobody else in Orlando or anywhere else in the world has anything like this. Critics have hailed it the number one theme park ride in the world. There's nothing else like it anywhere. Oh, my goodness. Hey, guys. Wait a minute. We're going to go on that thing? Here we are. Oh, boy. It's the incredible home coaster. It'll take you from 0 to 40 miles an hour in two seconds flat. If you want thrill rides like this in Orlando, the only park you'll find them at is Islands of Adventure. Then there's Dr. Doom's Fearfall, which launches you up 150 feet and drops you faster than gravity. After you're done battling evil, you can enter the world of Dr. Seuss at Seuss Landing, where there's something for all ages. You know, we have as much fun as the kids in this place. All of Dr. Seuss' stories and characters are here. You can even grab a bite to eat at the Green Eggs and Ham Cafe. Just like in Dr. Seuss' books, there's not a single straight line in all of Seuss Landing. Right across the bridge from Seuss Landing is the Lost Continent, an island of epic adventures. Like the Dueling Dragons roller coasters, they're the world's first inverted near-miss dueling roller coasters. They're two different coasters, fire and ice. They come within 12 inches of each other. Look, the flying unicorn. Now, that's more my style. You can challenge ancient gods Zeus and Poseidon from the special effects show Sidon's Fury, Escape from the Lost City, and cheer on the heroes in the eighth voyage of Sinbad's Stunt Show. Jurassic Park, it's just like the movie. In the Discovery Center, you'll find all kinds of interactive displays. You might even watch a baby raptor hatching. There's Camp Jurassic for the kids to play in. And then there's the Jurassic Park River Adventure. It's an 85-foot plunge, the longest, steepest, fastest water descent ever built. Here's where all your favorite cartoon and comic strip characters come to life. It's Toon Lagoon. There's Dudley Newright Tripsal Falls. It's the first room ride ever to take riders below the water level. And this is Popeye and Pluto's Bilge Rat Barges. You will get wet on these rides. In fact, it's a good idea to bring a change of clothing and store it in our convenient rental lockers if you're going to go on all the water rides. Come on, this is fun. And another great play area, Me Ship the Olive, where kids play on Popeye's boat. There just isn't anything else like this anywhere in Orlando. But Islands of Adventure is only one part of the story here. Right next door is Universal's first theme park in Orlando, Universal Studios. It's literally right next door. You can walk from one theme park to the other. And remember, there are two different theme parks here, both requiring a separate ticket. But the best way to see them both is with a multi-day ticket. This is Universal Studios, the only place on earth where you can ride the movies. This is an actual working movie studio. They make real movies, TV shows, music videos, and commercials right here. But it's also an incredibly fun theme park where you can become a star of your favorite movies. And go behind the scenes of the movie-making process. Walk through the back lot street sets, and you feel like you're on Hollywood Boulevard. At Universal Studios, we create rides that put you right in the action. For starters, you definitely don't want to miss our newest ride, Men in Black Alien Attack. This ride is so cool. You get to take a Men in Black training mission and ride to the streets with Laughing Aliens. The end of the ride is based on your score, so it's different every time. When you adhere it back to the future of the ride, you'll fly your time-traveling DeLorean through the past, present, and future on the greatest ride of all time. Photo, everybody. This is the new Woody Whoop Hacker's Kid Zone, a special area just for kids and their families. Here's where you'll meet all your favorite animal stars in a delightful live show. But they're not the only stars you'll meet here. The kids just love a day in the park with Barney. It's such a cute show. Barney! All right, all right. Who's ready for E.T. now? That's my favorite. Here's E.T. Adventure, where you can help E.T. get home. Now, this is the nuttiest ride you've ever seen, Woody Whoop Hacker's Nut House Coaster. And here's Curious George Goes to Town, a play area where you get to follow in the footsteps of that mischievous monkey, Curious George. Watch out, or you'll get soaked. Of course, when you think Universal Studios, you think movies, and here we bring to life some of your all-time favorites, with classics like Jaws, with Stan and Earthquake measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale. You'll meet the biggest star of the movies in Confrontation. Experience what it's like inside a real tornado in Twister. Ride it out. You can ride through a cartoon in the fantastic world of Hanna-Barbera. Get ready for the world's first 3D cyber adventure, Terminator 2 3D Battle Across Time. This incredible show is a mix of live action, stunts, special effects, and the world's most amazing 3D filmmaking. You've never seen anything like this. They've got lots of great shows here at Universal Studios, like Beetlejuice's Rock and Roll Graveyard Review, and the Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show. Plus you can take a tour through Nickelodeon Studios and see where all your favorite kid shows are made. You might even get Slime. It's all at Universal Studios, but if you thought this place was only about theme parks, wait until you see this. It's Universal City Walk, Orlando's hottest spot for entertainment. City Walk sits right between both theme parks. You've got Universal Studios on one side, Islands of Adventure on the other. It's so convenient. During the day you can shop in all the stores or grab a bite to eat. But at night, this place comes alive. You'll find everything from gourmet food to Latin cuisine to the world's largest hard rock cafe and everything in between. There's live jazz, reggae, a dance club, a 20-screen movie theater, street performers and exciting special events, live concerts, you name it, City Walk has it all. There's no admission fee for City Walk. Some of the clubs with live entertainment do have a small cover charge at night, but you can purchase a special City Walk party pass, which gets you into all the clubs at night for one low price. Universal Orlando's two amazing theme parks are a must for your Orlando vacation. If you're driving, we're easy to find, just 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport. Universal Orlando offers transportation to many of the area's other attractions. Once you get to Orlando, it's a great idea to plan your day before you actually come to the theme parks. The guest services coordinators at either theme park will be glad to help you plan your day. And of course, you'll find a dazzling array of dining options inside both theme parks, from convenient street vendors to quick service eateries to full service restaurants. For Mythos Restaurant here on Islands of Adventure, you might want to make a dinner reservation earlier in the day. This place is pretty popular. And don't forget about the character lunch every day at Islands of Adventure's Confisco Grill. There's no additional charge. As you've seen earlier in this video, there are lots of rides, shows, and attractions for the little ones. From Nickelodeon Studios and all the fun of Woody Woodpecker's KidZone at Universal Studios to Seuss Landing and all the varied play areas in Islands of Adventure, there's something for the smallest and not so smallest members of your family. Of course, there are height and safety restrictions posted at the entrance to each ride and attraction. And when those little legs need a rest, both parks offer stroller rentals, too. Two amazing theme parks, Islands of Adventure, Orlando's next generation theme park, and Universal Studios, where you can ride the movies, plus nonstop entertainment at City Walk all add up to the ultimate Orlando vacation, Universal Orlando.
