I just do look great. What does it say in there? J.C. Penney's. Borrowed from Porter Wagner's yard sale. We got it at Target! No, I'm just kidding. Has no label. Fill in the blank. I hope you like it. Last year at the CMA's, all eyes were on Reba as she revealed a dress that was seen around the world. This year, millions of viewers were sitting on pins and needles to see if fashion history would repeat itself. So before the awards, we sent Jan Snyder straight to the designer to find out. Had country's good girl gone bad? Should this cleavage receive a commendation or a cloak? Would Reba be as daring this year? Only her designer would know for sure. She has no limits. She disguised the limits. Sandy Spika has been designing Reba's clothes for over eight years. She wore this two years ago for the CMA Awards show when President Bush was here. Last year's CMA creation is now known as the Red Dress. I wondered if maybe I'd get fired for it, but that didn't happen. I thought she looked great. Following the Red Dress would be a very difficult task for someone. Like you said, it made headlines. What did you think about when you designed this year's dress? Reba came to me and said, I would love a dress for the CMAs that was a purple blueberry color and yellow, bright yellow. These are three in products of sketching for her CMA dress. I'll pull out my favorites and present those to her. Two days before the awards, Sandy's assistants were stitching away. There are nearly as many beads on this dress as Reba's record sales. In another room, Sandy is putting the finishing touches on Faith Hill's dress. This is going to be her first CMA performance, so I'm really excited for her. Like Faith, Linda Davis asks Sandy to design her CMA dress in basic black. And it's very fitted and very short. If all goes as planned, Sandy has about two months prior to an award show to design and deliver a dress. It takes her a bit more time for Reba's stage show. I always have to keep in mind for quick changes, tearaways, things that come off easily or are put on easily. That is a big consideration to start out with. She changes clothes about 13 times in a show. Stealing the show has always been Reba's intention. So Wednesday night, when Sandy's creation draped so beautifully on Reba, would the world forget about the red dress? And just think about this time last year, I just had about half of a dress on. Half a dress. It was the right hat she had on. Perhaps some things aren't meant to be forgotten. Sandy also designs for other stars like Ricky Van Shelton and Ronnie Dunn. This year's CMAs weren't without controversy. We'll have details when TNN Country News returns. I smoke. What did you think of the performance of Working Man Blues? Out of sight, I wanted to get up there and play. The Country Music Association may have honored its best at last night's show, but Rhythm and Bluegrass group run CNW feels otherwise. They vented their frustration by picketing CMA headquarters earlier today. The Burns Brothers have run CNW are upset at the Country Music Association. They're protesting the absence of a Rhythm and Bluegrass category at the CMAs. You know, one in ten Americans listens to Rhythm and Bluegrass. That's a minority. Too big to ignore. But the CMA ignored Bluegrass altogether. The Burns Brothers weren't even nominated in any of the 12 categories. This greatly upset percussionist Wash Burns. So who should have won? Who do you think? Run CNW. Album of the year? Run CNW. Video of the year? Run CNW. Vocal event of the year? No. George Jones, Vince Gill, on the Run CNW album. Just as the boys let their opinions be known, a CMA official who declined to be interviewed on camera asked them to leave. Sideburns stood there in silence while Brother Rugburns got in a parting shot. They're kicking us out, but we'll be back in November. Representatives from the CMA were unavailable for comment, but Run CNW made it clear they intend to petition CMA members so they are not overlooked at next year's awards. We'll have to wait and see. Every year the CMA sponsors a contest with 110 country radio stations to give listeners a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Nashville and tickets to the awards show. A big part of the day for the winners was visiting the historic Ryman Auditorium and meeting the coal miner's daughter. This is where I sung my first song on the Grand Ole Opry. And I almost passed out. These lucky radio contest winners had the rare chance to chat with one of country's legendary ladies. Oh, you know where Johnson County is? Well, that's Butcher Hall. That's almost to heaven. I never was uncomfortable with the fans. If I was able to get down and sign autographs, you know, with them and carry on a conversation with them, because they all had problems just like I did. He's okay. One of Loretta's problems right now is her husband's heart disease. I know the fans is worried about him. They all call and say they're praying and they all write me and say they're praying for him. And I think that's all that's gotten through is the prayers that the people have prayed for him, because there was people praying all over the world when he was sick. And then when he's still sick, they're still praying. Yeah, I'm proud to be a coal miner's daughter. Loretta plans to perform again in Branson if her husband's healthy enough. She has a date October 16th with Pam Tillis. To me, she sings songs like I sing. Like, do you know who your man is tonight? That sounds like Lori Lenzon, doesn't it? Somebody stole that from me. Loretta has put her career on hold for a while so she can help her husband Mooney recuperate. She's working on a sequel to her life story and says there will be another movie, too. It's time to wake up. Richard's so great. But then he said the line and I had to kiss him. And how was that? It was great. Little Richard and Mary Chapin's Lip Lock was one of the high points in last night's show. We'll close our show with her performance in just a minute. But first, you must watch What's in Store for you tomorrow. I saw the light in your window tonight. Winona gives star quality to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Plus, Sylvester Stallone talks about his steamy new film, The Specialist. And I get to deal with a woman on a level that I've never quite dealt with before. In movies. In movies. Okay, here it is. One more look at Mary Chapin's special performance of Shut Up and Kiss Me featuring Little Richard. Shut up and kiss me. You want regular Swiss cheese with all that fat and sodium? No, no.
