Still plenty of action to come from Melbourne Park and our telecast tonight. Chanda Rubin fans, stay with us. It's been quite an amazing day, a day record crowd and then a night record crowd of over 11,000 and between the two of them I've seen some fantastic tennis. Let's take in some of them now in our forward hotshot segment. Forward hotshot. On centre court this backhand from Martina Hingus leaving her opponent flat-footed. Voinaia of Romania against world number one Pete Sampras. And another winning shot. Stafford of South Africa against Thomas Muster. Muster showing why he's one of the fittest players on the tour. To men's doubles action and Australia's Michael Tevin with this lob. Forward hotshots. Yes, some fantastic tennis on day four, you know it's amazing what a major sporting event can do to a city like Melbourne, whether it be tennis, football or golf, the city really does come alive. You don't always have to be at the venue to know exactly what's going on. When you've just finished school, haven't got a job and a big sporting goods giant offers you one, well you just do it. He said would you like a job putting up tennis scores and I said oh yeah that would be great. Had no idea where it was and now I find them on King Street. The car's going past them as well. Yes, 18 year old Liz spends her days on one of Melbourne's busiest thoroughfares, watching television, putting up the results and waving to the truckies. So is it worth it? Yeah, it's good money. It might not strike you as the world's most exciting occupation, but you get the feeling Liz is quite enjoying it. The motorists seem to appreciate the service and you never know where it might lead. Can you see this being a big part of your life story? Something I can tell the kids if I haven't. I was just looking at that sign and wondering what she was going to do if there was a long five setter because I think she might just about run out of room, but well done. It's great to see them supporting tennis everywhere around Australia. We mentioned earlier we've still got lots to come including the match of Chanda Rubin. She played earlier tonight. She was up against the French girl from Lyon in Sandrine-Testu. Let's go to that match now. Thank you, why please? That's always nice to play a great first point and Chanda Rubin hitting a little bit of everything, a big forehand. She started the point with a great return of serve off the back end and they're a terrific half volley pickup. If this is any indication, the first two points, they're both going to be coming into the net. That'll be fun. 15-30. And another approach there from Chanda Rubin. She was well inside the baseline hitting her big forehand. It's her trademark weapon. 15-40. Two break point opportunities for Rubin. Here's a look at the Sandrine-Testu serve. Pretty high ball toss. You can see she doesn't quite keep her head up as long as she might. 15-40. Well, there's an example of what TestTube can do when you come to net behind the two-hander. She really gives it a good belt. She can go both up the line or cross-court, setting up the top-spin volley winner. One thing I remember when I played Sandrine in the U.S. Open was that her second serve was pretty tough. And you could see there, it had a very nice kick to the ad side, and Chanda had a tough time running around. She couldn't quite handle the second serve, and that is going to be important for TestTube because we know Reuben wants to run around and hit big forehands. She's got some good tactics from TestTube because she pulls her opponent wide, comes to the net, and she doesn't try to hit a big winning volley. It was below the level of the net and just used good placement. What happens when you do drop your head on your serve, your body weight's coming down, and more likely you're going to be serving those balls into the net. It's not always easy to follow up a double fault with a really positive first serve. Sandrine TestTube did a good job of that there. Game TestTube. Well, it was a bit of a struggle, but Sandrine TestTube hit one love first serve. Over time, skin loses its firmness and elasticity, but you can keep it smooth and supple, like this. New Nivea Body Skin Firming Lotion noticeably improves the elasticity of your skin, with liposomes, vitamin E and safflower oil. New Skin Firming Lotion from Nivea Body. The beauty of healthy skin. And the view of Centre Court at Melbourne Park. And it really is a beautiful summer's day in Melbourne. I would call it very mild. Almost cool, when the sun went in especially today. 15 love. 30 love. These two players have never played one another. At the moment, they're just sort of trying to judge how the other is playing. But at the moment, also Chanda Rubin standing inside the baseline, trying to be aggressive from there. And test two, perhaps a little too far behind the baseline. Here's an example of what makes Chanda Rubin serve pretty good. Keeps her head up nicely. Nice knee bend. Good extension. Wow. That's indecision. Chanda was kind of wondering whether or not maybe that ball was sailing long. Kind of hit it late. Made a mess of it. 40, 30. Well, the two-handed side coming up with a brilliant lob off a very forceful approach shot. Turn that point right around. Game Rubin. One gamble. That was kind of a big point for Chanda because she had 15, 40 in the opening game on test two serve, but allowed test two to hold. And then 40 love to 40, 30. Always a nerve-wracking point. 15 love. Just missing, but certainly going for it. And that'll put a little fear in the server. 15 win. 13, 15. Well placed serve right into the left hip of the two-handed return of Chanda Rubin. Chanda at a young age was willing to move forward after her penetrating shots and showing an example of that there. And she will have opportunities to do this, especially off the forehand side of test dude. She likes to loop it backwards. The backhand is struck more of a straight line. 13, 14. That was a fine example of moving your opponent around, waiting for the right shot to come in behind. Breakpoint opportunity for Rubin. Game Rubin. The forehand winner from Rubin giving her the first break of the match.
