And now it's time for Thought for the Day with Father Hears. I hope you're enjoying holidays. Many people are present, but of course the people in the tourist industry aren't. And I don't suppose mothers of families are, or for that matter fathers, with all the children home. I don't think anybody can have a holiday, or everybody can have a holiday at the same time ever. It's never going to be like that. In short, what a holiday is, is a refreshing time, a time for a change from work. When you read the Gospels, you read the story of where Jesus has been preaching and healing and so on. And He tells His apostles, come away with me to a desert place for a while and we will rest. So He knew what was good for man too. No matter what you're doing, no matter how good a work it is, you need rest and relaxation. But of course when you're on it, having circumspection for those who are not on holiday, not having the opportunity of resting or relaxing. We know that sick people, for example, don't stop getting sick and so doctors and nurses have to keep in action. And while some of them have a spell, the others don't. In the meantime, our rest and our recreation, we need to exert good manners, always having respect for what the other needs to do. Looking around home, for example, for things to do, to help with the washing up and the cleaning up and the tidying up. And keeping those things in moderation that we're going to do to give us refreshment. Then we'll come back to work ready to go ahead with a lot of zeal and a lot of added zip to our stride. May God be with you in your rest and your recreation so that He may also be with you as you work for Him. That was Thought for the Day with Father Hears.
