When my daughter Leah was one year old, we discovered that she was deaf.
That same month, her cousin Alex was born.
We began signing with Leah, and Alex's family started to sign with him, so that he could
communicate with his cousin.

even if they can hear, such as a larger vocabulary, higher IQ scores, and virtually eliminating
