That's Tom and Jerry on the Saturday Fun Show today folks. And we have a new cartoon coming up in just a few moments and that's... Would you like to hazard a guess? What do you reckon? You haven't got a clue if I went to... No it's not giving me a hanky. It's Zorro because we have no more pandemonium. Aww, no, he's my favorite too. He's my favorite cartoon but he's finished now. So we have Zorro to replace him. And also by the way, hundreds and hundreds of letters come in about Rainbow Brite cartoon that we had on a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately folks, they just aren't anymore. That was the one. So please don't write in and ask for anymore because they just aren't any. And that was just a special treat we put on for you for the Saturday Fun Show. We had letters from boys writing in saying, listen, we enjoyed the Rainbow Brite cartoons too. Don't think it's just for the girls, Doug. Sorry. And the girls are saying, you know, we like the cartoons. I think I'm very, very sexist on the Saturday Fun Show. I'm not. I'm not really. Not are we? The boys and girls are all together. We have a lot of fun with the boys and the girls, whatever. Nah, but there aren't any more Rainbow Brites, I'm afraid. That was a very special treat that won a couple of weeks ago. And Zorro is coming up in just a few seconds. But in the meantime... Oh, and Heat 10 and our Saturday Fun Show Junior Telling Quest with Prue Lewis coming up shortly too, folks. Who's running at the moment? It's Daniel Robodin as our winner so far. Yeah, he's the highest scorer so far. And at the moment, he's the hottest contender to go off to join Johnny Young and the Young Talent team early next year in one of their shows early next year. But we do have several heats to go yet. So somebody may sort of come up there and win. So we're looking forward to that. Prue Lewis coming up shortly this morning. But in the meanwhile, some more birthday calls to little Cheryl Dowd. A very special message here. Who had a birthday during the weekend, was very upset because she missed her name out on the Saturday Fun Show last week. We don't usually do this, but Cheryl was very, very upset. As a matter of fact, she was in tears. The poor little dear. She lives at the seaside down by the beach and would like to give her, would like her to give Howie a very special wave as a very special birthday treat. So to little Cheryl Dowd, happy wave and a bow Howie to little Cheryl. Happy birthday to you. She's living on the beach and a day like today would be good for a swim, wouldn't it? Right now, 8.45. Now a bit late for a swim now. The day's half gone. Should have been up at six o'clock like I was and in the water at six, that is. So happy birthday to you. And she is at Georgetown from all your friends. Also during this week, Anna. You go and have a wash, please. Put it away. Put it away. Anna Osborne of West Moorville. I think it is. Yes, I think we'll need that for Howie. Thank you. Listen, with my compliments and compliments of Ken Centre Pharmacy and Brisbane Street, Howie, take that home. It's the Mr. T bathwash. I would like you to fill your bathtub up with that. Don't forget to put some water in it as well. Put some of that in the old bath and lay there and soak. And at least next week come in smelling nice and fresh. OK? Make a change. Where were we? Anna Osborne of West Moorville. I think it's West Moorville Road anyway. You know who we mean. Happy birthday to you. Natasha Scott of Burnie's also, Natasha Scott is also having a birthday. She's at Burnie. Courtney Sims of Wesley Vale and who's that? Trina. Tina. Tina or Trina Osborne. Where do we just do that? Must be your sister of West Moorville Road is also having a birthday. So happy birthday to everybody celebrating their birthdays as we say. And of course, hope you have a very nice time and all the sickies once again. Hope you're up and about very, very soon. OK, right now on the Saturday Fun Show, we have for the Von Bibra Cycles Junior Talent Quest, Heat Number 10 and here is Prue Lewis. The Junior Talent Quest is proudly presented by Noll Von Bibra Cycles, Four Way Steppenport. The Junior Talent Quest is proudly presented by Noll Von Bibra Cycles, Four Way Steppenport. The Junior Talent Quest is proudly presented by Noll Von Bibra Cycles, Four Way Steppenport. There you go Prue, that was wonderful. Oh, come back over here, you're running away from me. That's a very pretty dress Prue, who made that for you? I don't know her name. Oh, a friend of your mum's, was it? I'm going to, excuse me, I'm going to have to come all the way down here. How old are you Prue? Seven. Seven years old and how long have you been dancing? About a fair while, two years? Four years. Four years? Oh my god, you're still out of breath. It's hard work all this tap dancing, isn't it? Where do you learn to dance Prue? Devonport. So you travel from Ulverston to Devonport, what, every week to practice and learn more? Every Monday. Every Monday. What about school on Monday after school, isn't it? Yes. Oh, that's lucky, your teacher may be watching. How many did you have, many friends that would like to see you on the Saturday Fun Show doing this act? No, you all know. Do they? Would you like to say hello to them? So many of them, huh? Hello to all Prue Lewis's friends. There, we've done it. Okay Prue, we have our judges comments in a moment from Terry and from Pearl, but this is the prize that you're going for on the Saturday Fun Show. The winner of the Saturday Fun Show Junior Tenant Quest will have the opportunity to appear as a contestant on the nationally televised Young Tenant Time. They'll be flown to Melbourne together with a parent or guardian flying TAA the friendly way and staying at the Rathdown Motor Lodge. Hello Prue, you've travelled a long way to be with us today and you performed very well. It was very sweet with your presentation. I feel you've been trained along the right lines. You need to relax your hands and your arms a little. Head movements were quite good. I quite enjoyed it. What about you Terry? I enjoyed it. I think she's a very good little tap dancer, good sense of timing. She gave a lot of expression, not only with the taps, but also with her hand actions and her face. She smiled and she looked like she was enjoying herself. I think there were some little nerves there Prue, but we've enjoyed it and we've given you 11.5 marks. Applause Music Okay, we have them. I don't believe it. Is that true? Sorry, Chris O' Cameron was just telling me an amazing story about the Cabbage Packs kids which we may be able to relate to a little later on. Not now because we don't want to be sued. It's all fun, all fun. Okay, we're right now on the line for our third game of TV Power this morning. We have John Heschner. Good morning John. Good morning Dad. How are you Cobber? Well, thank you. That's good mate. And how are you enjoying this beautiful sunshiny day so far? It's alright. Just alright. The sun's shining, the birds are singing, the grass is green, the trees are in blossom and it's just alright. What do you have planned for the weekend John? Little athletics. Little athletics? Ah, what are you competing in and where? City South football ground. Yeah. Today? Running. Yeah. You're a bit of a her-bellied, are you? Yes. A bit of a cliff young? Without the gumboots? No. No? Is that your favourite sport John? Yes. Do you do a lot of it? Yes. Ah, you're aspiring to run the two and a half minute mile? Isn't it amazing, several years ago it was a great effort to break the four minute mile and now it's done, boom, just like that. Like to go in the Olympics John? Yes. We might see you there in a couple of years, hey? Pardon? I don't reckon you will. What was that? I don't know. Just keep running and keep training there mate. The only way to get there is keep at it, isn't that right Howie? You keep at it and you've achieved all you can. Okay John, you said to have a game of power with us mate? Yes, thank you.
