Revo Styler gives you the same rotation and mobility your hairstylist has by doing the rotating work for you. And now, here's top Beverly Hills hairdresser Bruno Meglio to show you how to use your Revo Styler to achieve Hollywood style at home. Hello, and congratulations on your purchase of the Revo Styler rotating hair brush. You're on your way to great styles without great effort. This video will show you how to use your Revo Styler. The first step is get a great cut. Go see your stylist and get a cut that works best for you. Before we begin, here's an important tip about your Revo Styler. The Revo Styler is equipped with a safety clutch that will automatically engage whenever your hair begins to become tangled in the brush. If the safety clutch engages, and it will, don't worry. It will not harm your hair or your brush. In the beginning, this may happen frequently, but as you get used to your Revo Styler, it will happen less and less often. Let's get started. You will need your fully charged Revo Styler, sectioning clips, blow dryer, comb, and a mirror. Shampoo and condition Shampoo and condition your hair. Do not use Revo Styler on tangled or teased hair. Do not apply any hair products to hair before using Revo Styler. Towel and blow dry Towel and blow dry your hair to remove most of the moisture. Your hair should be about 80% dry when you begin styling. Re-tangle Comb all the tangles out of your hair. Sectioning clips Use the sectioning clips to divide your hair into manageable sections. Work with only one section at a time, beginning with the bottom sections closest to your neck. If you have fine or thin hair, you can use larger sections. If you have thick or coarse hair, you should use smaller sections. Changing speeds After mounting the brush head on the handle, you can easily change speeds by pressing the speed button up or down. It is important that you use the slow speed for about two weeks as you become familiar with your Revo Styler. This speed is optimal for precision styling. When you are comfortable, try the fast speed for quick blow drying and straightening. Setting the spin Set the direction of spin on the Revo Styler to determine which way you want the brush to turn. Set the spin to turn the brush in the same direction you would turn your wrist in hand styling. You may need to change the direction frequently as you alter your hand position while you style your hair. Style Remember, it is important to make sure your hair is tangle free when styling with Revo Styler. The Revo Styler brush can be used just like a standard brush when turned off. Brush out any tangles in each section before turning the brush on. Now that you've detangled your hair, place the first section of hair onto the brush. Hold it away from your scalp and turn the brush on. Remember, you don't need to move your arm, the brush does the work for you. Looking in the mirror, begin styling your hair. Use your Revo Styler with your blow dryer as you would your regular round brush. Make sure to keep your brush head elevated from your scalp to avoid catching hair from a lower section in the bristles. Don't be discouraged if you find it difficult at first. As with any new tool, there is a learning curve and it may take you a few attempts to get a feel for it, but soon you'll be creating great Revo Styler style with ease. Long Hair Technique For hair that is longer than nine inches from the root, this is a very important technique. And the way it works is you will use the Revo Styler from roots up to the area where the hair becomes nine inches long. And that is when you will turn the Revo on, Revo off, Revo on. Let's show you again. You will blow it dry up to that length and then you will turn the Revo Styler on and continue to blow dry the area that only needs to be styled, which is the end area. A great time saver is to towel dry and blow dry excessive water out of your hair. You cannot style hair if it has all that water in it. The only way you can really put a curl into hair is when it's almost all dry. Therefore, for you to pick up a round brush and a blow dryer when your hair is soap and wet is a total waste of time, at least 80% of the water out, and then begin styling. Now I see people do this all the time. They literally tear their hair out. That's the most terrible thing that you can do to your hair. Let me share with you the best way to detangle your hair so you'll have no problems, no breakage whatsoever. The best thing to do is to start at the bottom. Section your hair, the very bottom part, and beginning towards the ends, slowly working your way up, detangle each chunk of hair. Move yourself up, same thing. Start at the ends, work your way up towards the root area, add it to the other section of hair, and make sure the hair is tangle free. Last section, same thing, very tangled here. Start at the end, very lightly, very easily, very smoothly. Work your way up to the root area, very lightly, not tagging, not pulling, not yanking, anything. Just right down to the root area, add it to the whole section of hair, and that is the healthiest way to take tangles out of your hair. This is my root drying and setting technique. It will allow the curl to last longer. Once we are finished with the section of hair that we are styling, we turn the Revo Styler off and we go ahead and blow dry the root area with the blow dryer on hot. As soon as we're done, we go ahead and allow the section of hair to cool down for just a few seconds, and then go ahead and release it. This will allow the curl to stay on your hair longer. For best results, I recommend using the Revo Styler line of hair care products, which are especially formulated to give you maximum styling benefits. Our detangling spray, shampoo and conditioner, and styling tools are available online at www.Revostyler.com. In my second video, you'll get my personal tried and true methods for styling hair.
