Prime Television's Rural Market Report brought to you by combined rural traders. Good evening. Demand for wool remained limp at three centres during this week. The Australian Wool Corporation was forced to buy 58% of the offering. There was continuing subdued demand from the major sectors in this week's series of wool sales. 19 micron wool gained five cents. However, the 28 micron offering eased a further six cents. The market indicated an ease to 879 cents a kilo clean, down one cent. Western and Eastern Europe, as well as Japan, were giving support. The principal competitors in this week's series, AWC stocks, are now provisionally at 861,500 bales. There will be 130,000 bales on offer at three centres, including Newcastle, next week. The cattle market continued firm this week. Today was no exception. There were 1,850 quality cattle at the Canambal sale, 600 more than the previous sale. Young cattle firm two to three cents on the stronger market. With the heavier cattle, steers met with irregular demand, but cows firmed three cents. It's been sunny throughout the north today. High winds made conditions unpleasant in some areas. The satellite photo that was taken at noon today showed there was no cloud over most of the continent. The cloud mass moving through the Bight, however, and another east of Victoria left rain as it passed through. The hyudas pushing into New South Wales will bring settled conditions tomorrow. It will bring those warmer winds in from Queensland as it moves further to the east. A new front moving in from the west will affect the north with some thunderstorms on Sunday. And that's the country scene. Good night. Prime Television's Rural Market Report, another CRT primary producer service. There's nothing like raising sheep, especially if you have good pasture and good rain, good sheep and good prices. But with all that going for them, some people still take a gamble on parasite control. They'll tell you, near enough is good enough for parasites. Not for me. Not when you can have reliable control of all important worms, including resistant strains, plus itch mite in a single dose. That's why Ivermick is for me, because near enough just isn't good enough anymore.
