Today's half-black trivia question, and a good one, only three stadiums have hosted both the Super Bowl and the World Series, name them, and we'll have the answer coming up. There are the rains that have begun here, they had a lot of rain overnight this morning, the sun came out briefly, but now the rains are here again, Rodney Hampton gets a couple as the Giants begin from their 47-yard line, Rod Stevens making the play, there is the Giant Paltry offensive effort so far, they have managed only one first down, and Dave Brown has completed two of three for a measly 15-yard. Man, sacked twice and hit a couple times. Yeah, you know, it all starts up front, and each thing is a function of the other. Second down and nine, Callaway in motion, and Brown going that way, completes the pass out of bounds, and that will be good enough for the Giants' second first down of the game. Darryl Green covering Callaway, and a gain of ten. Yeah, and they also had some protection up front, if you're going to protect the skins, you have to take Sean Gilbert, this is what they're talking about, see they're going to double him in there, but Lance Smith right on him, knows what he's going to do, you take away the main focus, and then you have time to throw, and you have time to throw, you can step and throw in, and Callaway with the first down. First down on the 41, under nine minutes remaining in the first half, Rodney Hampton up the middle, gets a pass. Oh boy, Sean Gilbert making the play on Hampton. Charles Way just crushed Ken Harvey right in the middle, and it came with an isolation, and Harvey had to come up and step up, I want you to watch this, right here, Charles Way is going to be right there, the hole is going to open up, and he's got to step right inside, now step up and take him, boom, there it is, takes him right off his feet, good top football, good blocking up front by Way, second down on seven, on the 38, there's Hampton, Ken Harvey came right back with it, that's the speed that Ken Harvey has from his outside linebackers. Yeah, he's not afraid to step right up there, are you going to get blocked one time, in this league everybody gets blocked, but it's the ability to come back play after play, and that's what Ken Harvey does, Ken Harvey is a player who has no quittin' him, he has a great speed, but what he always does is he never stops, he's got a great motive. 14 to nothing, the Redskins lead, the Redskins have outgained the Giants, 172 to 45, it'll be third down and eight, Giants looking to cash in on third down for the first time, three wide receivers for Dave Brown who gets hit as he lets it go, he was going for Lewis but had no chance as the offensive line could not keep out Ken Harvey and Rich Owen, there you go, let's try hard Harvey, and again, great effort, you're going to watch him right up inside, Harvey's going to come up and they're going to run a stunt, and he comes, and he keeps on coming, as I said he never stops, he just always has a great motor, you may block him but he gets off the block and keeps on coming. And Mike Horan, who's last month was 64 yards, will be kicking to Brian Mitchell, and Mitchell is going to let it bounce and it goes into the end zone, a touchback, and the Redskins will bring it out to the 20 yard line, we'll be right back. Once again today's Aflac trivia question, only three stadiums have hosted both the Super Bowl and the World Series, name them, my partner Matt Millen had to go deep into the archives to come up with the LA Coliseum, 59 World Series with the Dodgers, the Metrodome, and Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego. Redskins begin from the 20 yard line leading 14 to nothing with 7.22 remaining in the first half, Horan goes on top and it's dropped by Jamie Asher, he was open. Nice throw, a lot of time, and Asher didn't complete it. I think one of the things that the Redskins do pretty well is they know how to use their tight end, and I think a tight end in this league can really mess up your defense because it really eats up your safety. Now the whole key to that is to have the tight end make the catch at the end of it, and Asher's been productive but not there. He caught his first NFL touchdown last week against the Patriots, couldn't hold onto that one, second down and ten. Leslie Shepard in motion to the right, deep drop by Horan and a screen pass to Mark Logan. Logan getting away from a couple of defenders in the first down, and there's another guy you want to talk about, a reason why the Redskins have done so well is Mark Logan. Absolutely, I think every season you go in and you say okay we're going to have this guy and hopefully he does okay, and you know we know what we've got in this game, and you look at Mark Logan and you say okay we know what he's got, he's going to be solid all the time in the running game and he catches the ball okay, but boy he's really stepped his game up. He's been a guy that they can trust, they go to him, he's been making big plays out of small stuff like that. That was a 15 yard gain, first down, Redskins on their 35. Terry Allen running to the left, and Jason Seehorn grabbed a hold of him and a gain of about five yards. NFL, the NFL continues next week with a big doubleheader on Fox, both of you see the Giants and the Lions, that is the schedule of games beginning at one o'clock Eastern time. Of course the pre-game show starts at noon and the big one, the Cowboys and the Dolphins, Jimmy Johnson, Jerry Jones, the big Dallas Miami game, the second half of our doubleheader at four o'clock Eastern next Sunday. Jimmy Johnson's going to play Jerry Jones next week? That's right, yes. Unbelievable. Terry Allen thrown for a loss on the play. A nice play by Strahan, holding the outside, forcing things back inside. Michael Strahan is capable of being an outstanding player, but Strahan got to get a little more help and he also has to learn how to do it week in and week out consistently. I think he's a guy who's got some pretty good size, 270, has nice speed outside, but again it's a consistent thing. And I think any time you have a young team, he's a young guy, and you have a young team, consistency is usually the problem. Redskins have gained six yards of play, that'll get it done any game, third down and ten. Barack completes to Henry Ellard, who's not about, Ellard's fourth pass of the game and a gain of 15 yards and a first down, Tito Wooten was defending on the play but Ellard having another big game for the Redskins. And again, that's just well conceived. I mean, they're going to take Ellard, and you see he's closing in on 100 in the second quarter with five minutes to go. They put him in a slot, they run him out, but on the outside they just run everybody off and they're giving Henry Ellard as much of the field to use as possible. And when you have a lot of green with 85, you've got problems. Ball in midfield for the Redskins who lead 14 to nothing. Ellard, they keep going to Ellard, wide open, and Henry Ellard inside the five yard line going against Seahorn, that's the guy, as Matt mentioned, the Redskins wanted to go against. And a gain of 48. They gave him a double move, and Barack gave the pump, he fended back outside and got right up top. You're going to watch him, he's going to come, bend it outside, and then get right down. See, there was the pump, did you see that little pump? And Seahorn made the mistake of turning around and looking, and he bit. All this is set up, there was the bump outside, now there's the pump, and that's when Seahorn looked and bit, and that allowed Henry Ellard to get to the top side and set up this, what, first and goal from the two. With four minutes remaining in the first half, Terry Ellard is over for his third touchdown in the first half. And tempers flaring in the middle of that puddle and that scrimmage, and the Giants have to be feeling some of that frustration as the Redskins dominating the Giants' defense. Henry Ellard already with five catches for 119 yards, coming off 152 yard game last week, and it is now 20 to nothing in favor of the Redskins, and Scott Blandin will try to make it 21. Big catches by Henry Ellard, and it is 21 to nothing. Blandin with three touchdowns today. Inside your car's fuel system, there's a constant battle between good and evil. So if you have a dirty fuel system, none of these dark forces can match the power of STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner, STP's most technologically advanced fuel system cleaner ever. Dirt has met its match. STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner. Back at RMK Stadium, Hale to the Redskins, who have moved down in front 21 to nothing. Hale to the Hogs. I think the Hogs are back again. Great tradition, and of course, this is the last season, and the Redskins will be playing in the stadium, moving to a spanking new stadium beginning next year. There is the scoring drive, and for the second time today, the Redskins have gone 80 yards on a drive to score a touchdown. You couldn't have written a worse script for the New York Giants. They're not a team that catches up well, because if they have to rely completely on their pass game, they're going to be lost, and this could be open season on the quarterback now for the Redskins. Takeoff by Blandon, and it'll be Tyrone Wheatley on the return. Wheatley finding some running room, and a fine return by Wheatley beyond the 45-yard line. That is a 35-yard return. Now, you said about that 80 yards, but the whole thing is the key play. It's Henry Ellard, and again, he just gets outside. They thought they could take advantage of Seahorn. He looks and bites, and then Ellard just takes it to the two-yard line, and Ellard set it up for Terry Allen, who scored the touchdown. Press of numbers for Ellard, who had a great game last week, five first downs. Every catch, he's made a first down. First down for the Giants on their 46. Here comes Presser on Brown, and he has an open receiver, Thomas Lewis. And he is out of bounds, stops the clock with 3.39 remaining, and a gain of 14 yards. By the way, the touchdown by Terry Allen marks the first time that Allen has had three rushing touchdowns in one game. That's just the first half. And now it looks like Dan Reed has said, okay, we have to throw this throw, but in order to do that, we're going to have to protect the pass. Last time he protected it, Brown had time and gets the completion. On the 39-yard line, the Giants have a first down in red-skid territory. Brown taking off, chased by Sean Gilbert, and finally throws it away. Again, no place to throw the foot. Now you protect them, and you're sitting back there and say, okay, get open. Nobody's open. I want you to watch the receivers. I thought they're going to have nice coverage in the secondary. There's a time, a lot of time to throw down here. Covered, covered, covered. Everybody is covered. No place to throw the football. And when that happens, I don't care if you're Joe Montana, you're not going to make it. The one thing I will say is Dave Brown needs to get better in his accuracy, because sometimes if you have a half a step in this league, that means you're open, and he's got to believe that. Brown is four of seven for 41 yards. That's not much. Second down, a 10, and the pass. On the hands, it's intercepted, Daryl Greene with a race with one man, and that's Brown to beat. He won't get him. Daryl Greene will score. No flags. 68 yards on the return, and only the second time in Daryl Greene's career that he's ever intercepted a pass against the New York Times. That's what's not on Dave Brown. That ball came flopping out. Greene picked it off. That's Bill Stimms, and now he has won against Dave Brown. I got news for you. If Tony Dorsett didn't run away from him, Dave Brown wasn't going to catch him. Good observation. That pass was intended for Lewis, and it was deflected off of him into the hands of Daryl Greene. Continues to play sensational football at the age of 36. Scott Blandin's kick is good, and the Redskins have a four-touchdown lead over the Giants. It's 28 to nothing. Daryl Greene plays as much with his head as he does with his speed. I think early he was a speed guy, and that ball's got to be caught. Daryl Greene slipped, came up, the ball's there. You're not going to catch this guy. I mean, you've got to hope that that sideline right there, it gets a little wider. Maybe the sideline trips him because as a quarterback, he wasn't going to get there. I think it amazes me about Daryl Greene. See, that should be a completion. Daryl Greene is almost too good to believe. Daryl Greene has the Daryl Greene Youth Foundation. He's very active in the community. He's a stand-up guy. He's a leader. He has a lot of respect both on and off the field. I've always called him Do Good, or DG. Every time we come to practice on Friday, you say, Do Good, what's going on? And he's always around where we are with a defensive back.
