You You You You You You You You You Hunting from tree stands is by far the most popular and successful method for harvesting deer in America The majority of all successful deer hunters use some type of tree stand Understanding the needs of tree stand hunters, we at Loggie Bile have developed the safest and most versatile tree stand available. The Loggie Bile tree stand works great in pines, hardwoods, aspens, and most any other trees. Use it as a self-climber or simply as a hang-on stand. If you haven't discovered this exciting technique for getting up close to wild animals, we invite you to see how truly effective tree stand hunting can be. You will be amazed at how close these animals will come to you. Many hunters, just like you, know that hunting from a tree stand is a very effective way to hunt deer and other animals. I'm Ralph Williams, president of Loggie Bile Tree Stands. About eight years ago, I was hunting in the top of an oak tree on the Loggie Bile Wildlife Management Area in Louisiana when the biggest buck I've ever seen in the woods walked in and stopped quartering away about eight steps from my tree. All I had to do was shift my weight to my left foot and draw my bow. As I did, my stand shifted. While I was grabbing the tree to keep from falling, all I could see of that buck was that infamous white flag. After that episode, I was sitting there thinking why I didn't get that buck, and I realized I had spent countless hours evaluating my hunting equipment, but I had neglected one very important part, my tree stand. I simply bought what was available, thinking all the stands were the same. I promised myself that that would never happen to me again, so I set out to find the very best tree stand available, but after a lot of fact finding and many disappointments, I couldn't find a tree stand that would fit my needs, so I decided to build my own. I'm really proud of the Loggie Bile Tree Stand. Virtually every part of the platform is safe to stand on, so you can shoot with confidence no matter which direction the deer comes from. You can do the same things using the Loggie Bile as a hang-on tree stand, without using the Flex Spring Steel Climbing Band. Here's an example. I'm a right-handed shooter. I'm set up here expecting a deer to come from my left. Here's an example. I'm a right-handed shooter. I'm set up here expecting a deer to come from my left. When suddenly I spot a buck approaching from a different direction, I realize I'm going to have to shoot to the right. Knowing I can move safely and quietly, I'm able to stand up, turn around, and position myself for the shot. Music Music Music At Logie Bio, we know how important those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities are. That's why our staff and material prep, welding stations, pre-assembly, painting, final assembly, to our quality control inspectors. Their craftsmanship is right in the stand with you, so you can hunt with confidence every time you're in a Logie Bio tree stand. Your tree stand is a very important part of your hunting equipment, and developing your tree stand skills will make your hunts even more productive. Because the Logie Bio tree stand will do so much more than the typical tree stand, it's very important for you to master its features. Now Margaret is going to show you how safe and easy it is to use the Logie Bio tree stand. Music The first step, of course, is to select a tree. The Logie Bio tree stand may be used as a climbing stand on trees with a diameter from 6 to 17 inches. Your Logie Bio tree stand is the only tree stand that can be used either as a climbing or a hang-on tree stand. Its versatility allows you to hunt the tree you want to be in instead of the tree your tree stand will fit. Music Attach the climbing band to one side of the platform by sliding one end through the band guide and pushing the locking pin through the hole in the band guide. The locking pin is spring-loaded so it stays in place once it's through the band guide. Music Pull the other end of the climbing band around the tree and attach to the other side of the platform. Music The platform will probably have to be tilted upward when you start climbing. Your platform will level out as the tree's diameter gets smaller while you are climbing up the tree. Music When used as a climber, we recommend the use of the optional Logie Bio climbing aid as Margaret is now demonstrating. Place the climbing aid around the tree and adjust the slide bar so that the climbing aid can be moved easily up or down the tree. It is very important to make sure the locking pins are fully inserted through the slide bar and down into the holes in the climbing aid. Music Before climbing onto the platform, put your safety belt securely around your waist. Music Make your safety line available to place around the tree. Music Step through the web seat of your climbing aid. Music Place your toes under the toe bar and pull heel straps up and over your heels. Music Next, attach the safety line around the tree, adjusting the sliding loop to its maximum length for climbing. Music Attach the loop to the easy slide clip. Music Extend the safety line up the tree as far as you can reach and snug it down. Music Transfer your weight to your climbing aid by sitting in the web seat. Point your toes down, freeing the platform from the tree. Bend your knees and as you pull the platform up the tree, point your toes outward. Now stand up on the platform, shifting weight to your heels. Music Repeat this process until you reach your desired height. Music Once into position, lower the climbing aid so that the rubber on the slide bar is resting on the rubber on the climbing band. Music Snug your safety line to the tree. Music The channel on the back of the seat frame should be firmly against the tree. Placing your weight on the front of the platform moves the channel away from the tree. Standing to the rear moves the channel toward the tree. Feel or make a visual check to be certain the button springs are through the holes in the back of the seat braces. The final step in the Sherlock 3-Point Safety System is securing the channel by turning the Sherlock safety knob until the J-bolt is fully extended. Place the loop end of the rope around the tree and over the J-hook. Pull both ends of the rope to make sure the rope is as tight as possible. Music Tighten the Sherlock knob until the channel on the back of the seat frame is held firmly in place against the tree. Music With your Sherlock 3-Point Safety System properly in place and your safety belt on, you and your tree stand are secure. Music Margaret is demonstrating the stability of the Sherlock Safety System. Music The movement you see as Margaret steps around the tree is the climbing aid, not the tree stand. The self-locking seat braces make the seat a structural part of the tree stand, preventing the platform from tilting backwards. Doing this on any other climbing tree stand would likely result in a fall. The double-direction rope and channel tightening knob hold the channel on the back of the seat frame in place. Don't attempt what Margaret is doing here. It is for demonstration purposes only. Music Do not climb with gun or bow on your person. Music Music To climb down, loosen the Sherlock knob and take the rope from around the tree. Music Music Holding both button springs in, simultaneously pull the seat toward you. When the seat is free, step over the seat, holding onto the tree for balance. Place your toes under the toe bar and pull the heel straps up and over your heel. Music Bend slightly at the knees and position your climbing aid to hold your weight. Shift your weight from the tree stand to the climbing aid. Point your toes down, freeing the platform. Now stand up on the platform, shifting your weight to your heels. Repeat this step until you have returned to the ground. Music To use the Loggy Bile Tree Stand as a hang-on stand, adjust the rope to the size of the tree and attach the open loop around the tree onto the J-bolt and pull the rope as snug as possible. Music Climb on the tree stand and put your safety line around the tree, slightly above waist level. Music Adjust the sliding loop so the length is approximately 6 inches above the seat. Music Shift all of your weight to the base of the platform against the tree, locking the channel into the tree. A properly adjusted safety belt will prevent a fall due to loss of balance. Remember, tree stand safety depends on you. Do not attempt to use your Loggy Bile Tree Stand without reading the important operating instructions that are furnished. Tree stand hunting is one of the most effective ways to hunt big game. I hope you will apply the information we have provided to safely and effectively use your Loggy Bile Tree Stand for many hunting seasons to come. Good luck and good hunting!
