The Ionic Breeze Quadra from Sharper Image Design has an array of compelling features that has made it our most popular product. We've prepared this short video to highlight some operational and cleaning information including setting up your Ionic Breeze Quadra, selecting the appropriate power level, operating the Ionic Breeze Quadra, when to clean it, how to clean it, and some tips on keeping the Ionic Breeze Quadra silent and trouble free. This video is a supplement to the Ionic Breeze Quadra instruction manual. The instruction manual explains important safety information. Read the instruction manual before operating the Ionic Breeze Quadra for the first time and save the instruction manual for future reference. Place the Ionic Breeze Quadra at least 12 inches from the wall. This provides an open path for air circulation and reduces the likelihood that stray particles will attach themselves to the wall. Plug it into a grounded household wall outlet. Press the power button to turn it on. The power defaults to high, but you can continue to press the power button once more to switch to medium, again to switch to low, and one more time to turn it back off. Different environments have different requirements, and it's hard to say which power setting will be best for you, but we recommend using high for large or open rooms, medium for average rooms where the doors and windows are usually closed, and low for smaller rooms. The Ionic Breeze Quadra requires basic cleaning every 7 to 14 days, but a brand new unit or one that has been moved to a new location will often require more frequent cleaning for the first few weeks. If the unit makes noise, it is an indication that cleaning is overdue. If it becomes overloaded, the Ionic Breeze Quadra will shut itself down and will not operate until it has been cleaned. This shutdown is indicated by a red LED on the main panel. Frequently inspect and clean the collection grid to prevent overload, and always clean the collection grid after burning candles or oil lamps. The Ionic Breeze Quadra is simple to use and simple to clean. Remove the collection grid from the top of the unit. The collection grid will be dirty with trapped particles. Wipe away the collected particles using a slightly damp sponge, a slightly damp towel, or just a paper towel. If you wash the grid under running water, allow it to dry completely. Return the collection array to the main housing. It is not necessary to remove all the particles from the grid every time you clean it. The particles left behind will probably be wiped off next time. Keep it simple and easy. That's one of the big benefits of the Ionic Breeze Quadra. The Ionic Breeze Quadra has two ionizing wires inside that must remain clean to keep normal and silent operation. Every time you remove the collection grid, spring-loaded wipers automatically scrape particles from the ionizing wires. Occasionally, the Ionic Breeze Quadra may become noisy. In most cases, noise can be stopped by basic cleaning. If the noise persists, rotate or shake the unit several times to aggressively scrape the glass beads along the wire. Glass beads that are attached to the wires slide up and down to remove additional stubborn particles. If available, use canned air to spray through the opening and remove stubborn particles from the ionizing wires. It may also help to more aggressively rub the wire wiper several times along the ionizing wires. Most of the ionized particles will be trapped on the collection grid inside the unit. Some particles will escape and over time will build up outside the unit. Use a damp sponge and a mild solution of one ounce laundry bleach mixed with five ounces water to wipe the exterior housing. If you enjoy burning candles or oil lamps, it is very important that you keep the wicks trimmed to no more than one quarter inch. These oily products produce a lot of smoke and longer wicks will increase the problem. The Ionic Breeze Quadra collects and traps these oily smoke particles. Because there is so much soot collected from burning candles, always clean the collection array after burning candles or oil lamps. An overload of soot can cause the Ionic Breeze Quadra to release the particles back into the air. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video.
