Welcome again to Big League Soccer, where this week we take a brief pause in our race for the Canon League Championship
and turn instead to an exciting programme of cup tie football.
From the early weeks of the season, all 92 clubs in the Football League have been battling out the early rounds of the Milk Cup,
which leads eventually to a final at Wembley in March.
And on today's programme we shall be looking at some of the cut and thrust atmosphere and action that we've enjoyed so far,
involving teams like Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Sunderland and Chelsea.
Let's make a start though with Nottingham Forest.
They were drawn in an early round against the second division club Portsmouth,
and you have to remember that these early rounds are played over two legs home and away.
Portsmouth won the game in front of their own crowd by a solitary goal.
