In Broomhill, the fight against skeleton weed continues with the council donating some money to provide prizes as an incentive for locals to continue to search for the weed. The Bushfires Board of Western Australia is seeking a volunteer to become an accredited fire training officer in Broomhill. If you're interested, contact the Shire Clerk or Eric Rose. The committee in Cranbrook organising the gathering of historical records about the district would like to hear from any past or present members of the region.
