Hey everybody, I'm Drew from Drew's Famous Party Music. This is my friend, Roddy, and this is Chris, and they're here today to teach you step-by-step America's favorite party dances. Great dancers like the Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance, Electric Slide, YMCA, Hands Up, The Hustle, Dollar One, Pat and I, Joe, and of course, the Macarena. So guys, ready to have a great party? Alright, let's get this party started! Here we go! Our first dance is the Hands Up. Some of you may know this from your vacations. Well, what started out as a small resort type of dance became an international sensation. Okay, well let's get started. Here we go. Hands up, baby, hands up, and on Give Me Your Heart, you go to the left, to the right, and then go give me, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me. You're going to do that two times. So let's do that. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me again. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me. After doing that twice, it says All Your Love two times. The first All Your Love, we do the hula to the left and to the right. On the second All Your Love, the arms come up and spin around. Easy enough? Let's put those two parts together. Five, six, seven, eight. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart. Hula left and right. Arms come up and turn around. Easy enough? Let's kick it with the music. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me. Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me, give me, give me your heart, all your love, all your love. In your face I love your smile, love your ways, I love your style, what can I do to get closer to you? Don't think twice, I'll count to ten, don't take advice, don't ask me when, just on my way simply kiss me and say hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me, hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me all your love, all your love. In your face I love your걿 way up in the sky, every day, you're walking by, why don't you ever stop looking at me, stop that game, don't waste your time, although your dreams are matching mine, no use to play hard, but sing for a week, hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart, give me, give me your heart, give me, give me. From the streets of New York to the clubs of Boise, Idaho, the Electric Slab has been one of the most popular party dances for well, as long as I can remember. The dance itself is simple. Most importantly, make sure you always start each series of steps with your right. Okay, let's break it down without the music to start. The first four steps of the electric slide start with our right, stepping out, behind with our left, step out again with your right, and then together. Let's try that. Five, six, seven, eight. Step right, behind, right, and together. The next four steps, we do the same thing the other direction. Step out with our left, behind with our right, step out with our left, and then together. Five, six, seven, eight. Step left, behind, left, together. Let's put both of those together. Five, six, seven, step out right, right, behind, now to the left, left, behind, and pause. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Right, left, right, together. Left, right, left, together. The next series of steps, we bring it back for three, leading with our right. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Three, two, one, and pause. Let's bring it up to the front and do that together. Five, six, seven, step back. Three, two, one, and pause. I think we can handle that. What are we doing to the top? Bring it to the right, to the left, and then to the back. Five, six, seven, eight. Step right, move to the left, left, bring it back for three. Three, two, one, and pause. And Chris is going to take us home on this. Okay. Right after you've taken three steps to the back, one, two, three, you're going to lean forward, lean back, and with your right leg, turn towards your left. Okay, again, so you've just taken three steps to the back, you're going to lean forward, lean back, and turn to your left. And you use your right leg to help you out. Okay, let's put it all together with what Roddy's taught us. Starting with the right. Five, six, seven, here we go. Step right, behind, right, and left. Bring it back for three, lean forward, and back, turn to the left, and stop. One more time, just like that. Moving right. Five, six, seven, eight. Step right, left, right to the left, left, right, left, bring it back, and lean forward, bring back, turn to your left with your right leg. Face the front. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Step together, step together, step together, step together, back, lean forward, lean back, let's turn to our left. Step to the side. To the left, to the back, lean forward, lean back, turn to your left, right, and left. To the back, lean forward, lean back, turn to your left, right, and left. Back it up, lean forward, lean back, turn to your left, and we're right back where we started. All right. Well, let's put this all together with music. Are you ready to slide? All right. Hit it, Drew. All right. Let's go. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. Now we come to the Macarena. I can't believe this is still one of the hottest party dances around today. You bet. The Macarena took the world by storm and shows no sign of slowing down. It is truly an international sensation. The steps are easy, so come along and join us and we'll show you how to do it. Senor Drew, la musica, por favor. Let's get those hips moving. In five, six, in fours. Right hand. Left hand. Right hand up. Left hand up. Next, cross at the elbow. Left hand cross at the elbow. Going behind the head with the right. Left behind the head. Cross down by the hips. Other hand and go to the rear. Again in fours with the right hand out front and left. Hand up. Crossing at the elbow and then behind the head. You got it out there? Down by the hips and behind. We're going to speed it up a little bit with the hands in twos. Here we go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, cross one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, cross one, two, three, four, five, six, swivel down for eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven— Again in twos. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, two, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, cross one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, swivel down. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. In singles. All right. Here we go. Good job, you guys. How you doing, Austin? All right. Let's hear you out there. Let's hear you out there. The 70s are back in a big way, and so is one of the most popular dances from that disco era. After all, what is disco without the hustle? The hustle is a great dance, and I for one am thrilled it's making a comeback. The steps are so simple, so Roddy and I will break it down to you first without the music. Roddy? Let's start with our feet together. The hustle starts with movement forward and backward. Leading with our right, we're going to march up three steps. Five, six, seven, lead right. One, two, three, and stop. Then we bring it back three steps, leading with our left. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Left, right, left, and stop. Putting both those moves together, let's bring it forward and back. Five, six, seven, lead right. Right, left, right. Bring it back. Left, right, left, and stop. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Right, left, right. Bring it back. Left, right, left, and stop. The next set of movements is lateral. We're going to move to our right with our right foot first. Step out with the right, behind with the left, out with the right, and together. Then leading left, we turn, going back the way we came from, and turn, and together. Let's do that lateral movement again. Five, six, seven, eight. Step right, behind, right, turn left, and together. Let's put both sets together. Movement forward and back, and then to the right and to the left. Five, six, seven, lead right. Three, two, one, bring it back. To the right, and turn left. One more time. Five, six, seven, bring it forward. Right, left, right, bring it back. Left, right, to the right, and turn left. Okay, for the third part, we're just going to use our right leg, and you're going to start out by doing two heels. You go heel, heel to the front, and then toe, toe to the back, and then you're just going to do singles. One heel, one toe, put the foot to the side, and take your right leg and have it turn you towards your left. Again, we have double heel, double toe, heel, toe to the side, push off, and have it turn you towards your left. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, heel, toe, toe, heel, toe, side, and turn. Heel, heel, toe, toe, heel, toe, side, and turn. Let's put it all together with parts one and two. Moving forward, leading right. Five, six, seven, eight. Bring it back, lead left. To the right, and to the left, turn. Double heel, front. Double toe, singles, out, and turn. One more time, just like that. Five, six, seven, eight. Right, bring it back, left. To the right, turn it left. Double heel, double toe, singles, out, and turn. Double heel, double toe, singles, out, and turn. All right, I think we got it. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. One of the hottest trends in music the last few years has been country. With the great stories and down home beat, country music has been taking the world by storm. So it's only natural that we have a dance based on a down home country beat. The Cotton Eye Joe is simple. So let's begin by breaking it down without the music. We're going to start by putting our hands on our hips, and we're going to start with our right leg. And we're going to start with by digging our heel right out, cross it over the left leg, give another heel, and jump together. Again, that's heel, cross, heel, and jump together. We're also going to do the same on the left leg. We're going to go heel, cross, heel, jump together. Let's put the right and the left leg together. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Once more and heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Now the second part is three heels. We're going to start with the right leg again. We're going to go heel, heel, heel, jump together. Again, that's heel, heel, heel, jump together. Let's put the first and the second parts together. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Three heels. Heel, heel, jump together. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, heel, heel, jump together. Great. All right. The third part is a little tricky, but if you watch carefully, you'll get it in no time. You're going to use your right leg. Bring it up. Your left hand touches the inside of your right ankle, and then bring it out so the right hand touches the outside, and then again, the left hand is going to touch the inside, and then use that right leg to turn to the left. Okay? Again, that is with our right foot, use your left hand, touch the inside ankle, touch the outside ankle, touch the inside ankle, and use that right leg to turn towards your left. Let's put that together with parts one and two. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, heel, heel, jump together. Inside, outside, inside, and turn. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, heel, heel, jump together. In, out, in, and turn. Okay. And this is also a four-wall dance, so we're going to do it around facing each wall. Once you get back to the front, I want you to shuffle around your partner and lasso. Okay? So we'll do it around once, and then we'll do it with the music. So let's practice it one more time, all the way around to each of the four walls. Five, six, seven, eight. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, heel, heel, together. In, out, in, and turn. Heel, cross, heel, jump together. Heel, heel, heel, jump together. In, out, in, and turn. Heel, heel, three heels. In, out, in, and turn. Heel, heel, cross, heel, in, out, in, and turn. Great. Good job, guys. We're going to put this together with the music. Are you ready, Cowboys and Cowgirls? Let's do it! Come and go. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. We came to town like a raging storm. We rode through the fields like the sun. The clouds were the truth and it covered the sky. But all we saw were clouds and a song gone. If it hadn't meant for God, I'd show. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Come and I'll show you. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Come and I'll show you. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. If it hadn't meant for God, I'd show. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. We came to town like a raging storm. We rode through the fields like the sun. The clouds were the truth and it covered the sky. The clouds were the truth and it covered the sky. If it hadn't meant for God, I'd show. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Come and I'll show you. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you come from? Where did you go? Come and I'll show you. If it hadn't meant for God, I'd show. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. If it hadn't meant for God, I'd show you. I've been married a long time ago. Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from? Come and I'll show you. Now what would a party be without the kids? They bring so much imagination and enthusiasm to every party. It's only fitting that we have a dance for parents and their children to do together. Chris is over there with some of our guests ready to teach you the Hokey Pokey. Okay, everyone follow along, listen to the music and do what I do. Are you ready? Yeah! Ready! And you put your right foot out, you put your right foot in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out, you put your left foot in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your right arm in, you put your right arm out, you put your right arm in and then you shake it all about. You put your left arm in, you put your left arm out, you put your left arm in and then you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn it all around, that's what it's all about. You put your right elbow in, you put your right elbow out, you put your right elbow in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your left elbow in, you put your left elbow out, you put your left elbow in and then you shake it all about. You put your head in, you put your head out, you put your head in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your right hip in, you put your right hip out, you put your right hip in and then you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your left hip in, you put your left hip out, you put your left hip in and then you shake it all about. You put your whole self in, you put your whole self out, you put your whole self in and then you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You put your back side in, you put your back side out, you put your back side in and then you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. You do the Hokey Pokey, you do the Hokey Pokey, that's what it's all about. I know what you're thinking, the chicken dance. Do people really do the chicken dance? It always looks so silly. Let me fill you in on a little secret. Even though no one admits it, everyone loves the chicken dance. You'll notice at every wedding party it's the most popular song. It's the song that everyone waits for. It's very simple. There's four parts. The first part is four beaks, four wings, four tail feathers, and four claps. Come on everyone, let's form some circles and let's do the chicken dance. Let's do the chicken dance. Let's do the chicken dance. Let's do the chicken dance. The dollar wine is one of the most popular of today's parties. That's for sure. If I had a dollar for every time we did this dance, I'd be a rich man. The dance itself is pure fun. All you have to do is listen to the words of the song and follow right along. Here are the basic moves. We stand about shoulder width apart and we have a cent piece that goes in the left pocket, five cents in the right pocket, ten cents in the back, and a dollar right here by the belt buckle. Let's do that with the hips. A cent piece in the left pocket, five cents in the right, ten cents in the back pocket, and a dollar right here in the front. One more time with the hips. Cent piece in the left pocket, five cents in the right, ten cents in the back pocket, and a dollar right here in the front. So that's the basic movement at different speeds and do whatever you want with the hands and have a good time. That's great. Boy, boy, you got to teach me, Mr. Twinkie, how to get that swing. Boy, boy, a cent piece in the back pocket, with a cent piece in your left pocket, five cents in your right, ten cents in your back pocket, simply out the side, in front, or by your best, stick the foot in, five cents, ten cents, a dollar, cent, five cents, ten cents, a dollar, cent, five cents, ten cents, a dollar. When I thought she had enough touchy, ten cents, ten cents, she won't, won't get these more change. Give me big money. A dollar, dollar, dollar, dollar, dollar, dollar, dollar, dollar. When you think of the 70s, what do you think of? Patpong shoes, bell bottoms, John Travolta. I always think of the great music and dance numbers that come from the 70s. One of my all-time favorites is the YMCA. It's very popular and so easy. All you do is you first boogie down to the music, and then here's the Y, here's the M, the C, and the A. That's all there is to it, so come on, let's dance. Alright. When you're short on your dough, you can say that. You should find many a way to have a good time. It's fun to stay at the YMCA. It's fun to stay at the YMCA. They have everything for you to enjoy. You can hang out with all those boys. YMCA. YMCA. You can stick yourself clean. You can have a good meal. You can do whatever you feel. Young man, are you listening to me? I said, young man, what do you want to be? I said, young man, you can live like a dream, but you've got to know this one thing. Young man, love it all by yourself. I said, young man, put your pride on yourself and just go there to the YMCA. I'm sure they can help you today. It's fun to stay at the YMCA. It's fun to stay at the YMCA. They have everything for you to enjoy. You can hang out with all those boys. YMCA. It's fun to stay at the YMCA. You can stick yourself clean. You can have a good meal. You can do whatever you feel. We got it. Wow, what a great party this has been. But hold on. We have one dance left, and we've saved today's biggest for last. It's called The Train. This song and dance swept across the nation like, well, a runaway train, and it's really easy to do. Let me break it on down for you a bit before we start it with the music. First, we're going to have our ribcage come forward, arms and elbows back. Then we have our ribcage come in, arms and elbows come forward. That's the pumping motion. Let's bring it up. On the and, our ribs come out. On the one, our ribs go in and our arms go forward. Let's try that eight times. And, one, and, two, and, three. Four more times. Five and six and seven and eight. Notice the bending of the knees when we bring our ribs in. I'm going to face you now. We're going to use our feet also. It goes right, left, right, right, left, right, left, left, and repeats. Same movement. Five, six, seven, eight, and one, and two, and three, four, and five, and six, seven, eight, and one, and two, and three, four, and five, and six, and seven, and stop. All you have to do now is add the horn to the right with the double right and to the left with the double left, and we look in the same direction as we pull that arm down. Five, six, seven, eight, and one, two, and three, four, and five, six, and seven, eight, and one, two, three, four. Again. And one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six. Excellent. You can hit your rewind button if you want to, and then let's do it all together with the music. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready for sport. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. Ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. Come around the tree. You ready. Come around the tree. You ready. Come around the tree. You ready. Come around the tree. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready. You ready you ready. You ready you ready. Thanks everyone, that was great. Excellent, great.
