And good evening, I'm Mike Maum, and welcome to this live election update.
Polls have been closed now for about one hour,
and already election results are starting to trickle in right now with less than 1% of the precincts reporting statewide.
Here is how the race for...
Republican side right now, Wenatchee legislator Dale Forman leads the pack right now.
Ellen Craswell is trailing with 446 votes at this time.
Taking a look at the race on the Democratic side is King County Executive Gary Locke,
leading former Sealer Resident Jay Inslee and Seattle Mayor Norm Rice.
The race for Lieutenant Governor right now, it is Jim West, a legislator out of Spokane, leading with Republicans.
On the Democratic side, Brad Owen, the state senator, is leading there.
Other people in that race include, you see right there.
On this race for Secretary of State Ralph Monroe, the incumbent, is leading.
Phyllis Kenney, these two will face off again in November.
For state treasurer, the Republicans, Lucy DeYoung leading Randolph Bell.
And on the Democrat side, Mike Murphy leading Jack Keiley.
The race for state auditor, the incumbent here is Brian Sontag.
He has 240 votes right now.
Again, this with less than 1% of the precincts reporting.
Nina Becker there.
Richard Pope, the Republican, is leading.
Democrat Christine Gregoire, the incumbent right now, they'll face off again in November.
For the Commissioner of Public Lands, the incumbent here is Jennifer Belcher.
Among the Republicans right now, Bruce Mackey is leading.
And checking the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction, the conservative Ron Tabert leading this race right now.
Terry Burgesson in second.
There are other candidates in this race as well.
You see them right now. Dan Leahy, 86 votes.
This again with less than 1% of the precincts reporting.
For Insurance Commissioner, Steve or Brian McCullough and Deborah Sen are currently leading this race.
And again, that's just with less than 1% of the precincts reporting right now.
And no results yet from Yakima County.

And good evening. I'm Mike Malman.
Polls have been closed for an hour and a half,
and more numbers are starting to pour into the KIMA Newsroom right now,
checking the race for the fourth district congressional seat.
These are numbers strictly out of Yakima County at this point,
but right now, Joe Wachenauer is leading among the three Democrats to challenge Doc Hastings in November.
Taking a look at the Republican governor's race right now with about 4 percent counted.
Dale Foreman is leading with 19 percent of the vote.
Ellen Craswell is right behind him with roughly 10 percent.
Looking at the Democratic side of that race, Gary Locke is leading right now with approximately 24 percent of the vote.
Seattle Mayor Norm Rice is trailing him,
and former fourth district congressman Jay Inslee is in third in that race.
Taking a look at the Republican side on the race for lieutenant governor right now,
Anne Anderson is third in that race, or first in that race among the Republicans.
Taking a look at the Democrats, Paul Shin, a former legislator, is leading in that race.
State Senator Brad Owen is in second place.
In the race for superintendent of public instruction,
the Associated Press is declaring that Terry Bergeson will be one of two names on the ballot in November.
They're projecting that based on the returns to date, and that's roughly about 4 percent.
Ron Tabor, the conservative, is in second place in that race.
There are a number of candidates in that race, but right now it looks to be down to Tabor and Burgesson are leading the field.
For state senator right now, these two people will appear on the November ballot,
but as of right now the incumbent Alex DiCio, the Republican, is leading by about 3 to 2.
In the race for state representative position 14, the winner of this primary will be the winner,
and right now incumbent Mary Skinner leads by a narrow margin.
For the Court of Appeals, Division 3, with about 16 percent of the vote counted in the counties that make up this district,
you see Superior Court Judge Stephen Brown leads that race.
And for the number 2 position, when actually attorney Susan Colley is in the lead,
incumbent Frank Kurtz, a Yakima attorney who was recently appointed to that post, is in second.
And for Superior Court, this is the heated race between Susan Hahn and Dorothy Broderick right now, Hahn with a narrow lead.
In the second department, department number 2, Patty Powers is leading Jim Hutton and George Colby.
