Kittitas County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a woman from the Spokane area. 49-year-old Teresa Lynn Sampson was found dead in her car, which was partially submerged in the Columbia River near the Vantage County boat launch off of Interstate 90. It was about 25 yards east of the end of the boat launch. Passing motorists spotted her car about 8.45 this morning. Kittitas County Sheriff's diver recovered her body. She was the only one in the car. In Yakima News tonight, the recent outbreak of swine flu has Yakima County health care workers on alert. So far there are no confirmed cases in Washington state or Yakima County, but there are confirmed cases in Mexico, Canada and the U.S. Swine flu is not a new thing. It was originally spread from pigs to humans. The concern now comes from the virus's ability to transfer from person to person. The symptoms of swine flu are not known.
