This is CBS 19 News live, local, late breaking. And you are looking at a live picture of Jubilant Tribe fans from Miami's Pro Player Stadium. The Tribe are big winners tonight. Good evening, everyone. There they go. Right now, some great news, folks. We won! That's right. The Tribe bounced back pretty well tonight to beat the Florida Marlins in Game 2 of the World Series. Let's go live to Miami, where Ronnie Duncan begins our team coverage. Hey, Ronnie. How's it going? It's going just fine. I've got a guy who's been a hero. As a matter of fact, got the game when he hit Marquise Grissom. Three hits tonight, but nothing was bigger than Sandy Alomar's hit. You guys are coming around at the right time. I think we got some big hits tonight. I think Sandy got a big hit. We played good, hard, funny, middle baseball today. Chad OJ pitched a great game, got a great bunt down, and that was the difference in the ballgame. I think we played good, hard, funny, middle baseball, and we swung the bat well. Talk about it, Chad OJ. Here's a young man that you couldn't get run support for in two games against the Baltimore Orioles, 0-2 in the postseason. But the ERA was low, and that's the reason why you guys were able to win a night. He kept you in the game the entire time. Chad, Chad pitched a great game. You know, my hat's off to Chad. And he did everything it takes to keep the guys off balance. And that's what you gotta do in a big game like this. It doesn't matter what kind of ERA you have, you just gotta go out there and try to win a big game. How good do you feel about it right now, Marquise? You're going home, baby. 1-1. Well, that's what we came in for. I think if we could have got two, it would have been fine, but we got one. I think we'll go back home and get the fans in the cold weather behind us, and we'll be alright. It's more supposed to snow on Wednesday, I think. That's okay. We still gotta play baseball. Good enough. Marquise Grissom, thanks for the interview. Also, let's take a look at Sandy Alomar's home run, because it happened in the sixth inning. It was a two-run shot. Sandy Alomar has had four postseason home runs. You talk about a Sandy and a Dandy here. Sandy has been the man. We just got finished talking to Marquise Grissom. We'll talk to more of the Indians. I'm Ronnie Duncan, live from Pro Player Stadium, where the Indians have evened up the World Series at 1-1. Thanks, Ronnie. After tonight's game, the World Series heads back to familiar territory, and the Indians will find a lot more friendly in the climate, although it will not be as warm. Scott Newell says there's another big difference. He's in Miami to tell us all about it. Scott? That's right. For one thing, we're not gonna have to look at the teal and the orange back here. We're gonna have that red, white, and blue to look at. Plus, there's another big difference. Cleveland fans know their tribe. They even know them by number. David Justice. What's his name? Jose Mesa. Jose Mesa. Okay, that was Jose Mesa's son. I guess not your ordinary Cleveland fan, but Marlin's fan. Who is the second baseman? Second baseman, uh, oh, I know Jose Mesa, Scott, but I don't know his name. Who's the first baseman with Florida? No, me. Who plays shortstop? Uh, I don't know. But a lot of Cleveland fans don't know much about the Marlins, and these first two games have been their first look at the fish. Some of these players have obviously been around the league. Some refeds that have come back around. Still, obviously, going to need to get up on the pirates. Well, I think we're as clueless as, uh, of them as they are of us. Uh, the first game we were here, it was a great ball game, but we had the opportunity to come down to watch World Series in shorts and T-shirts. It's gonna be a lot colder, I think, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. No palm trees, sunshine in Cleveland. That scares them in Miami. The Latin blood is, um, hot. So I think they are really gonna feel, um, with the cold weather. And the thought of snow sends shivers up and down Florida fans' penny-angels' spine. It might make them slip a lot, fall down. And that wouldn't be good, would it? Nope. No, we hope we'll just slip by them in another three, because despite the warm weather down here and the great Tribe fans, we'd like to just, quite frankly, not come back here to Miami. Got no reporting live in Miami. Back here in Cleveland. Oh, that's a great sign. And then just all the people screaming back there, way to go Tribe. But we all know that Cleveland rocks, that's nothing new. But one place in Cleveland especially rocks, and that's the Field of Dreams in the Flats. And that's where we find Paul Cox tonight, continuing our World Series team coverage, Paul. Oh, yes, Mike, this place was rocking red tonight. It is kind of quiet right now because the place is emptied out. The people are going home. The proceedings have officially adjourned to Jacobs Field. Now, I don't know if you can hear the noise behind me, though, because the downtown area sounds like it did after the victory over Baltimore in Game 5. You can hear horns sounding. You can hear people hooping and hollering, but they're doing all of that over there and not down here right now. You know, the Flats was kind of a quiet place. It often is on a Sunday night tonight. And that made the Field of Dreams the prime attraction down here tonight. They wind up early to come down to the Field of Dreams. They're still coming, not worried about the Indians' chances, trusting that the Magic that beat the Orioles and the Yankees will beat the Marlins. Hey, Lawrence, you need to think about it. Lawrence, the first game against the Yankees, Lawrence the first game against Baltimore, Lawrence the first game in the World Series, then come back and win three straight and win in Florida. Hey, it's Waho Cakes, Bob. We're on it now. Yeah! Hey, didn't they used to be called the Albert Bell Bar? No, this is the Malley's Chocolate Waho Bar. Never was the Albert Bell Bar. Not this one. This is Malley's Chocolate Waho Bar. These are the diehard fans, the same ones who sat through the bad old days. They don't want to miss a moment of World Series fun. We're going to split tonight, come home one-on-one, and then we'll sweep them at home. Boss first game in all the other series. They're going to do fine.
