I think for Thanksgiving that it should be a wonderful celebration. I know that so many people's hearts are going to break on Thanksgiving and I can't, all I can say is that, you know, if everyone kind of sends out thoughts of celebrations to those who feel like they have nothing to celebrate, that it might make the day a little easier. I want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. The world has been changed by the catastrophic events of September 11th. But out of the tragedy, new heroes emerged who brought everyone hope. Another hero from September 11th was a four-legged member of the New York City canine unit named Cirrus. Tonight, Cirrus' partner talks to ET about the loss of his friend and the relative that could take his place. We got down as far as the fourth floor, one more flight down, and the building collapsed on us. And I just kept on waiting for the big piece to come and take me out. Port Authority officer David Lim was there on September 11th as the World Trade Center collapsed. He's with the canine unit, and though he survived, he lost his canine partner Cirrus, a bomb-sniffing search dog whom he'd left below. Listen, buddy, I gotta go help the people. Just stay right here and I'll be right back for you. That was the last time I saw him. Lim says Cirrus was his best friend, so ET tagged along as he met with some other dogs as possible replacements. This is Cirrus' half-brother Solo, but he's still too young for the job. Last month, Seventeen magazine held their Star Showcase event to benefit New York disaster relief. They presented Lim with a gift certificate to use when he finds a new dog. In the meantime, he'll work with Cirrus' good friend, Buddy. Tomorrow on ET, we're gonna have NSYNC in concert. But we're going to leave you now with one last stop on the USO Tour. It's Jessica Simpson singing God Bless America to our troops. Happy Thanksgiving. You bet. See you tomorrow.
