Led by Wayne Newton, the celebrity-filled troop flew to Budapest, Hungary, where it began a week-long marathon of shows performed at isolated bases throughout Europe.

The all-star company included everyone from Bo Derek to Jessica Simpson, comedian Rob Schneider to R&B singer Ruth Pointer.
It was hard to tell who got more out of the visit, the soldiers or the entertainers.

Port Authority officer David Lim was there on September 11th as the World Trade Center collapsed.
He's with the canine unit, and though he survived, he lost his canine partner Cirrus,
a bomb-sniffing search dog whom he'd left below.

That was the last time I saw him.
Lim says Cirrus was his best friend, so ET tagged along as he met with some other dogs as possible replacements.
This is Cirrus' half-brother Solo, but he's still too young for the job.

They presented Lim with a gift certificate to use when he finds a new dog.
