It's a while police found four pipe bombs in an abandoned car this afternoon. Police say they went to the car near a busy shopping area after a phone tip told them of a possible bomb in the car. And if you just watched our movie, First Do No Harm, you understand the emotional impact epilepsy can have on victims and their families. A North Idaho family is speaking out on the success their daughter is finding on the diet tonight's movie was based on. Reporter Bette Bowers has more. Like I told the person when I was in first grade, so they handle it really great. The fifth grade classmates know Heather Hafer has epilepsy, but she believes she's found the right answer. So when that we can use 16. Sure. There's nothing worse than such a helpless feeling as watching your daughter in convulsions and you can't do anything. And she's crying out, Daddy, why won't they stop? And and Jack Hafer say they've tried everything. Oh, as many as there are pharmaceutical companies. And after struggling over high costs of prescriptions and an alarming increase in Heather's seizures, the haters have found an open door in the ketogenic diet. It's equivalent to when you burn a log, you get ash left over and they're called key. Gens ketones and that when it's elevated in your blood is somehow controls the seizures. Instead of drinking milk, Heather gets a cup of whipping cream. In fact, every meal is weighed precisely to the gram. 42 grams of that. Just so you know, Mom, I feel okay. Ketogenic is a strict menu of three fats or more for every protein. No milk, no sugar and in Heather's case butter with every meal. I really didn't know about it, but I got changed to butter and mayonnaise. I didn't mind it at all. My daughter has never attained totally seizure free. She's had a real marked significant reduction in her seizures on this diet. Gave us, you know, her life back. Basically her life back. Now normally doctors prescribe the ketogenic diet for about two years. If the seizures begin to return with more frequency, the patient can go right back on the diet after they've been off for a while. Well, we had beautiful weather today, but could it be changing? CAP ABC, the police and you all working together to make this valley a safer place. Watch this special report each Monday on the local news at 530. I think the weather was teasing us this weekend. It was so warm and we saw so much sunshine. It was like a taste of spring and our temperatures will stay fairly moderate through this week, but we'll be returning now to a more wet pattern. Take a look at our satellite map and you can see the storm that's out here in the Pacific right now, but you'll notice as it moves on shore, it begins to weaken somewhat. And so we're not really expecting to see a lot of moisture with this, but it is opening the door, I should say, to let in more moisture. And what we've got happening right now is the jet stream is coming through, actually I can probably draw it better from this side, coming up and still making somewhat of a ridge over the northwest. And what that means is it's still allowing some of that warm air to move up from the south. But anytime we have a dip in the jet stream, which is what's happening around this low pressure system, we normally see cooler weather and wetter weather. So that's going to be shifting our direction. So with a change, again we'll see the showers beginning to crop up, and so we'll see those moving in tonight and into tomorrow morning. And then after that we'll see more sunshine. You can see all the breaks out here in the Pacific. Well that of course means we'll see some more sunshine. But in the meantime, before we get to that tomorrow afternoon, we're already seeing the showers making their way inland. And especially along the Cascades here, we will see some snow tonight, four to five inches is what we're expecting. So if you're having to travel that way tomorrow morning, do expect to see some
