The strike has been over less than a week and today a flurry of free agent signings.
Here's where some of the key players have wound up.
The Cleveland Indians created the biggest splash today when they signed former Dodger
Orel Hersheiser.
Hersheiser is 36 years old and had pitched 12 seasons in Los Angeles.
The Colorado Rockies signed two players to long-term deals.
Former Montreal Expo Larry Walker, one of the best hitters available, has a new four-year
deal.
He's joined in Denver by former giant pitcher Bill Swipp who signed for three years.
The Florida Marlins signed a pair of pitchers today.
Bobby Witt who pitched for the Oakland A's last year and John Burkett, the former giant
who won 22 games two years ago.
The White Sox picked up a starting pitcher today.
They signed Jim Abbott to a one-year deal.
He pitched for the Yankees last year.
And the Baltimore Orioles added a pair of pitchers.
Kevin Brown, the former Texas Rangers, signed on for one year.
And Doug Jones who had 27 saves for the Phillies last year also signed a one-year contract.
