Pipwings entered In the federal county 你們 be as the city of And a very good afternoon to you. I don't think I've ever seen a film with Alona Massey that I didn't like. I adore her, particularly when she's singing. And music plays an integral part in this story of spies, espionage, and World War II. I love the movie. I love it uncritically because I love the people in it and I love the witty script. Alona Massey's leading man is George Brent. They make a very handsome couple. I think you'll like them. And also in the cast is someone that I appreciate very much indeed, Basil Rathbone. He's the third star of International Lady. Basil Rathbone's always welcome in any movie, don't you agree? And also under the direction of Tim Whelan we have that master of menace. Will he be a menace in this film? Well, let's find out. George Zuko. International Lady has some really interesting and gripping ideas and I hope you'll enjoy it very much indeed. I certainly hope you've enjoyed International Lady. I hope so. I love Alona Massey and there's a film she made years ago with Alan Curtis called New Wine. I haven't seen it for about thirty years and I've always wanted to see it. Do any of you remember New Wine? Do any of you remember when Alona Massey was very, very popular in the late 30s and early 40s, particularly in that glorious movie Balalaika with Nelson Hiddie? That was her real triumph. But I thought she was great in International Lady. Tomorrow we have a comedy called Fire Sale. Some people find Fire Sale, pardon me, find Fire Sale outrageous and in bad taste. I don't. I think it's very witty. But don't say that you haven't been warned. I hope you'll give it a go tomorrow. Alan Arkin directed the film and he's also the star. An Anjanette Commer's in it, Howard Gardinia and a brilliant lady, Kay Medford. That's Fire Sale tomorrow. I'll be back in just a moment. Well now, here's an interesting book. It's published in Australia by Simon and Schuster. They're coming out with a lot of good books at the moment. Do you see it? The Fiery Cross, the Ku Klux Klan in America by Win Craig Wade. It's a horrifying set up, you know. The Ku Klux Klan by Win Craig Wade is called, as I said, the Fiery Cross. Enormous. It is extraordinary and astonishing to read. You wonder how far reaching the Klan could possibly be. And I recall vividly some of the movies that have featured it. And by the way, if you're a Stephen King devotee, and so many people are, have you seen the new novel, The Eyes of the Dragon, that he's just had published in America and Australia? Stephen King's The Eyes of the Dragon. It's very much in the realm of fantasy and medieval times and other worlds. But as with everything Stephen King writes, he writes with extraordinary imagination. This is actually one of the more attractive pictures of Stephen King on the back. By the way, have you read one of his other novels that's just been published called Misery? You really should try it. I couldn't put it down. I read it greedily. Well, it's just about time to go. Tomorrow's movie is Fire Sale, directed by Alan Arkin and also starring Alan Arkin. And Jeanette Comer's in the cast and Kay Medford and Howard Gardena. I find it very funny. Some people find it in poor taste. Give it a try though, will you? I think you might like it very much. Tomorrow, Fire Sale and a good afternoon to you all.
