I'm actually kind of looking forward to this evening. It's bound to be very entertaining. Entertaining? How's that? Well, because he's going to be talking to lots of old friends, meeting people, that sort of thing. Plus performing for your secret audience. Secret audience? A secret audience of one. Eric and I are stirring up the green-eyed monster tonight. But right now, I gotta go to your office. Oh, you're gonna be in Liszt? I'm gonna go pick up my last check. Charlie, if only you would just let us please. I served my time. Let some poor other schnook take a crack at it. Okay, you can't say that I haven't tried. It's been sweet. Well, I'll see you there tonight, huh? I'll see you tonight, Jack. Yes, I wouldn't miss it for the world, believe me. So, why would you be trying to make a man jealous when I know you've sworn off men? Well, I'm not. Because I have. Sworn off men? Right, but not my job. I am late for the office. How was your business trip, by the way? Why would you want to know? You say you married this guy in college, huh? In law school. What's... what do you got? We're wearing the computers now. Yeah, we put an APB out on the creek. They'll turn up. Go ahead. They'll find him, Galen. Listen, we could pull in some help on this. I mean, the man's threatened a D.A. The Fed should come in with us. I think we should fill them in, Trevor. What, there's more? No one is gonna call in the big guns on a routine domestic violence case. Domestic violence? As run-of-the-mill as they come. Carter's my ex-husband. Oh, wait a second. You were married to this creep? Unfortunately, yes. So Carter's not threatening a public official. He's threatening his ex-wife. No one is gonna call out the troops to track him down. Well, I don't know about that now. The amount of manpower and money it would take to find him and to protect me from him? Most agencies just can't afford that. Well, we can't ignore it, Galen. No way. You better believe no way. We're gonna protect you. Look, I know you guys would go to the mat for me, but I'm not fooling myself. You are not gonna get departmental support. We might. I've been there. You haven't been there with us. I really appreciate what you're saying, Trevor, but domestic violence is simply not a high priority for most police departments. But they're helpful. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Things are different here in Pine Valley. I'm gonna keep track of you night and day. If this Carter guy pulls anything, he's dead meat. You got that right. Look, first thing I need you to do is fill out your schedule. I need to know where you are every day, minute by minute, okay? I'm gonna call Nat and tell her I'm gonna be late. Oh, I'm causing problems already. Nat knows the police officers work overtime. Besides, she's got a board meeting at the hospital. You fill out your schedule, we're gonna get things fixed. We're here today to determine the status of Nurse Gloria Marsh, whose probation period is now over. A recommendation has been made for her dismissal. While the board must consider this... It certainly must. I would like to point out that with the single exception of the one incident for which Ms. Marsh was placed on probation, the doctors and nurses on our staff have given her work the highest evaluations. In the past, perhaps. The record has been impeccable. Except for that one incident, the aforementioned incident for which probationary action was required. Yes, that's quite true. But I, for one, think the aforementioned incident should be discussed. Stealing drugs from the hospital in order to attempt suicide is absolutely appalling. Clearly, Nurse Marsh is irresponsible and unsuitable for working with helpless patients who must rely upon her judgment. Let us not forget there are factors here which impact on the very survival of this hospital. Survival of a hospital? We are in a recession. Charitable contributions are very difficult to come by. How can we explain the presence of this woman on our staff? She's been involved in an affair with a married man. She admits to having blackmailed him, and she appeared on tape in a court of law performing illicit sexual acts. It absolutely defies all good sense to keep this woman on our staff, where she could very possibly sabotage any attempts that we might make at fundraising. Gloria Marsh has excellent nursing skills. Her private life in no way impacts on that. I, for one, am very confused why these charges were even brought in the first place. We are a responsible governing body. We must deal with the obvious lapses of judgment of some of our staff members. I think we should let Nurse Marsh address these charges. Thank you. Everything that's been said about me is true. Introducing a whole new way to keep that shower fresh feeling all day. New Band Fresh and Dry. Keep the feeling, shower fresh feeling. New Band Fresh and Dry. New Band Fresh and Dry has an extra wide ball. It's a big way to roll on fresh, a big way to roll on dry. Band Fresh and Dry has aloe, too. It's a whole new way to stay shower fresh. Keep that feeling, shower fresh feeling. New Band Fresh and Dry. And yet there's still only one place dedicated to giving it your way, and is the number one maker of chicken sandwiches. We're the one, not one, but two. We're the one made just for you. Great taste of chicken on a bun. We're the one. We're the one to give you more. You're the one we're cooking for. Let's sell the chicken on a bun. We're the one. Your way, right away. Burger King now. I think a tic tac's better than a certs. It's only one and a half calories and it freshens your breath just as well. Oh yeah? Well, let's see. Hmm. I'm almost convinced. Hey. I'm convinced. I am. Honey? Honey, it can't look that bad. How bad is it? No one can afford a bad perm, but now you can afford a great one at the styling salon at J.C. Penney. That bad. You said, I can't believe someone can't make a better liquid soap. New Liquid Safeguard says, believe it. It's gotta kill germs. Believe it. And not kill my skin. Believe it. Safeguard has moisturizer in it, so it's better for your skin than leading antibacterial liquid soaps. Gotta smell nice. Feel silky. New antibacterial liquid Safeguard with moisturizer. Once you try it, you'll never buy another liquid soap. Believe it. On General Hospital. Daniel! A violent storm leaves Karen, Jagger and Jason shipwrecked. I guess we're still lucky to even be here. The question is, where's here? Stranded, but not alone. I'm starting to have the creeps about this place. Can rivals come together? Don't worry. Everything's gonna be okay. To survive against the odds. General Hospital. Brian said he had other plans. Translation, another girl. What did I do? Something wrong? Scare me into an early grave, why don't you? I'm sorry. You always sneak up on people? I didn't mean to. You're Charlie Brent. You're a man of enchantment. That's me. And you're Haley Vaughn. Wait a minute. Now I know you because of all your publicity pictures. How do you know me? Ruth and Joe mentioned you a couple times. Oh really? They give you an 8 by 10 glossy too? There aren't many other teenage entrepreneurs in the building. Well, I'm no entrepreneur. Are you kidding? You're the one who came up with the mall boutique idea, aren't you? Big deal. They are. I should know. I opened enough. Oh really? There were practically stampedes at the thing. Well that's because you're a big major hunk and everything. They weren't there for me. The boutiques drew the crowds. You're a smart business person. Oh yeah, I'm just a regular genius. So genius, you want to tell me why you were crying when I just came in? Well it's like this, see, my IQ is so high that my brain gets dizzy and my eyes start to water. I see. What are you doing here anyway? I thought that you had quit. I did. Oh, well Erica's not here. I know. I just came to pick up my last check. Oh, I'm sorry to see you go. Thanks, but life goes on. So they tell me. Uh-huh, here it is. Thank you. You know, I got this really bad habit. You're going to tell me about it, aren't you? I'd rather show you. Oh, is this going to get weird? No, whenever I get a paycheck I get this uncontrollable urge to do something mindless and fun. Well that's a relief. Want to join me? You're kidding. I'm not. Well, I really have a lot of work to finish around here. Classic case. Stratospheric IQ, work obsessed. Too bad. I mean, maturity's great, but even geniuses deserve some time off. Sorry, not this one. That's the way it is then, huh? You're the serious type. Mature and sad. Okay. Well, I guess I'm just going to have to go spend this all by myself. Hey, who are you calling sad? I want to give you a baby, Dimitri. I want there to be something from the two of us in this world. I know that this is really important to you. Yes, we'd be a family. You and I and our child. It would change everything. It would make everything perfect. Angelique, it's... Just think of having a little one. What she might look like. Just like you with your brown eyes and your smile. Have you thought this all the way through? Yes, and I think it would bring us closer. It's a big step. It's the biggest step that a man and a woman can take together. But it's right for us, I'm sure of it. It's even more right now than it was all those years ago when we first talked about having children. The night I proposed. Yes, on the dock by the pond. We were so much in love. We were planning our lives together and talking about the future and all the children we'd have. And we even had their names picked out. I know, I remember. We were so young and we didn't know what we were doing. We thought we'd have the perfect life. We were sure everything would go according to plan. And you know what, Dimitri, we were right. No. We were naive. Dimitri, we're where we were 15 years ago with our entire future in front of us. And we can have that perfect life and children. Things can't be put back together that easily. I know you still want children and I want to be a mother. I want us to start our family now. I'm sorry, Angelique. I just don't think it's a good idea. Well, you're acting like a detective. Just asking a simple question. Me too. Why are you so interested in my business trip? Why are you so reluctant to answer me? Jack. Sorry. I guess I was just trying to start a little conversation. Really? Yeah, I suppose I must admit I was struck by the odd coincidence of it all. Coincidence of what all? You being on a business trip, Dimitri being on a business trip. Well, now, Jack, I guess about a quarter of America was on business trips yesterday. Really, Jack. Yeah. Well, it was a wild wind when Dimitri came back from his business trip. He was clean shaven. You don't say. Yes, I do. It was very odd. Oh, excuse me. Is this my cue now? I'm supposed to scream and carry on because Dimitri's shaved? Oh, sorry. I guess I'm rambling. Well, this party tonight should be some fun, huh? Yeah, I'm sure. It's always nice to see people happy. You are in the oddest mood. Like, take Angelica Dimitri, for instance. She recovers from her coma, they reunite, starting their lives over again. Yes, it's inspiring. Yes, it is. And just to make it all the more perfect, they're getting ready to start a family.
