13 days by raft down Tasmania's wild Franklin River. For a weekend magazine film crew, it proved to be a dangerous assignment, as you'll see this Sunday. Rafting down the Franklin is a mixture of exhilaration and fright. This is the Arenibus Gorge. Once you start, there's no stopping. Surprisingly, all except one of us made it through right way up. Bob Crossway did it the hard way. Anybody who's sort of in a situation where there is obvious danger, and it's subjective danger too. There's no question about it. I knew I was in trouble. But I knew I was never in so much trouble that I wasn't able to at least take stock of every event as it happened. The Franklin, dangerous, beautiful, and now threatened with extinction. It's the subject of a special report in Weekend Magazine after Sunday's 7pm news. The classic horror story Count Dracula comes to ABC with Louis Jourdan as the Count. Our holiday special Count Dracula, Monday at 8.30. On Countdown tonight with last week's number one, The Pretenders.
