Wisconsin Dells is great because it's a family fun entertainment place, lots to do go-karts, magic shows, water shows, scenery is great, relaxing place. The weather's been great, lots of things to do, water parks are fantastic, lots of fun. I think it's great here, it's a lot of fun, it's definitely different from Washington, D.C. I was actually surprised when I came here, they had a lot of different things I wasn't expecting. Indeed, there truly is something for everyone in Wisconsin Dells. And with over 70 wholesome family attractions and countless year-round activities, chances are you'll find yourself having the time of your life. But just how do you begin to enjoy a Wisconsin Dells getaway? It's simple, you can start just about anywhere. Family seeking cool relief from the summer's heat, you'll find lots of liquid refreshment with three colossal water parks all located within two miles of each other. And which one you choose is up to you. Because here you'll find some of America's largest and most diverse water park activities, from slides and kiddie areas designed just for little differs, to rip-roaring wave pools and tube rides that provide hour after hour of when wild thrills for active families and young adults. Why even Grandma and Grandpa can splash on the fun at any one of several lazy rivers or family raft rides found at these park locations. Well we decided to ride the ducks today because this is Wisconsin Dells and home of the ducks so we thought well we better go on it and see what it's about. My parents brought me here and I brought my two kids with me this time so they could see the beauty of the Dells and the boat ride today we went on. We went on a different boat ride the other day. We went on the jet boat which is new this year to the Dells. But just so they could see the difference in the type of nature that is here compared to where we're from. We're from Illinois and the different rock formations and stuff that we have here as opposed to what we have there in Illinois. It's very beautiful here. We're from Columbus Ohio and we came to the Wisconsin Dells because we knew the kids would have fun with all the different activities that we could do. They loved the mini golf, they loved to swim, they loved to go to shows. The magic show was neat and the Tommy Bartlett show they did skiing, things that we wouldn't see in Columbus. We now live in Florida in Orlando but we come here for vacation because it's just the natural beauty of everything. We like to get away from all the tourism and theme parks in Florida. Oh it's just a nature, a thing of nature you can't hardly believe unless you see it. It's pretty nice. Everybody should come here. Each year hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the United States and around the world climb aboard a Dells boat tour to witness some of the most spectacular scenery in existence, the famous sandstone cliffs of Wisconsin Dells. A product of the ice age and carved by glacial melt waters thousands of years ago, these tall rocky bluffs stand as proud monuments to Mother Nature's incredible handiwork. Only three other places in the world can boast such scenery. Rare indeed, these rocky bluffs, sometimes extending hundreds of feet into the air, are just one of the many fascinating sights you'll encounter on these remarkable scenic cruises. You can choose from several different tours, from a leisurely paced tranquil ride to an adrenaline rushing high speed action tour. Other popular scenic attractions are the unique ducks of Wisconsin Dells. So just what exactly is a duck? Let's find out. All summer long and throughout the fall, these World War II amphibious vehicles treat visitors young and old to a delightful and always entertaining tour of the backwoods and seas. and scenic waterways of Wisconsin Dells. Hang on as you travel over land and water through needle-thin canyons, along rich fern-filled ravines, past tall timber, and then on to an exhilarating splashdown on the Wisconsin River and Lake Dalton. The ducks of Wisconsin Dells, they're truly an adventure on land and water. And one ride you and your family won't want to miss. Oh, there's so many things to do here. The Noah's Ark, one of the main attractions. We saw the Tommy Barlett show. That was a lot of fun. Right now we're on our way to catch the magic show, the Rick Barlett show. And the main thing is that the kids have a great time here. We were here last year and we had a blast, so they wanted to come again this year. And hopefully we'll come again and again. The magic show was great. We've been to Vegas and we're expecting something that good, and that's what it was. The kids loved it. The geese show was terrific. We've been coming here for many years, and 30-some years. But this is a family affair. This week we brought our whole family down. Well, my favorite act was when that guy went up in the plane. I liked that. On the kite? Yeah. It's a fun show. We come to see it every time we come up to the Dells. If you're looking to be entertained, there's plenty of that going on here, day and night. With three performances daily, the Tommy Barlett thrill show is a genuine crowd pleaser. Here, daredevil water skiers display a heart-pounding exhibition of aerial and acrobatic skills. Unique variety acts take audiences to the height of suspense and entertainment, while comedy acts and a colorful character named Aqua the Clown bring smiles, laughs, and giggles from families and spectators young and old. Other one-of-a-kind attractions include the Russian Mir space station, a permanent display at Tommy Barlett's Robot World and Exploratory. Or you can have a mystical experience at Wisconsin Dells' premier illusion show, Rick Wilcox Theater, It's Magic. The whole family will be amazed by this fast-paced, funny, and exciting show. Who knows, maybe you too will float on air. Of course, a visit to Wisconsin Dells wouldn't be complete without witnessing some of its native culture. And a perfect way to do that is by spending an evening watching Blue Canyon Native American ceremonial dancing, performed in a natural wooded amphitheater. There are also top-name music concerts at various Wisconsin Dells venues, from country and western to pop and rock and roll, where today's hottest stars put on hand-clapping, foot-stomping performances that bring audiences to their feet. For those feeling a bit lucky, try your hand at Ho-Chunk Casino and Bingo. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the action never stops at the area's largest gaming facility. Choose from more than 2,700 different slot machines. Or try your hand at one of the 56 Blackjack tables. And while you're having your kind of fun, the kids can have theirs at KidsQuest, Ho-Chunk's on-premise kids' entertainment area, staffed with professional child caregivers. And for explosive entertainment, nothing rivals a round of adventure mini-golf. As the mini-golf capital of the world, Wisconsin Dells is a whole lot of fun, with close to a dozen courses to tee all from, including several that let you play up to five different 18-hole rounds. And if you're looking for a little faster fun, there are several go-kart tracks to test your driving skills, including different theme tracks at Big Chief Carts and Coasters, which is also home to the Midwest's fastest wooden roller coaster, and of course, the state's only Trojan horse. We've been here many, many times. I come every summer with my parents, and there's so much to do. I don't know if we've been through everything yet. There's just something fun to do every day, if it's raining or if it's sunny. It's just a perfect place for a family. It's things here you get to see as far as scenery that you don't get to see anywhere else. There's things to do for adults, there's things to do for the kids. We brought a wide-age group of kids from college down to 11 years old, so we have to try to find things that amuse everyone. So that's why we like to come here. It's little wonder that with so much to see and enjoy, Wisconsin Dells visitors find themselves running out of vacation time long before they run out of things to do. Besides all the outstanding attractions, you'll also find a vast array of other exciting activities and recreational pursuits, like golf. And whether you're a serious player or a weekend duffer, Wisconsin Dells offers plenty of fun and challenging 18-hole courses. You'll especially appreciate the low greens fees and readily available tee times. And if you're looking to take your game further, you can also take advantage of a lesson or two from a golf pro. In short, when it comes to enjoying outdoor fun and activities in Wisconsin Dells, the sky's the limit. It's all here, indoors and out, including unique shopping experiences, especially along the New Dells River District and fascinating museums like the H.H. Bennett Photographic Studio, where you'll see the Dells of yesteryear up close. Interactive exhibits tell you how Bennett put Wisconsin Dells on the map. I like coming in the fall especially when the trees are turning. Very colorful, very beautiful just to get out and see the scenery. You can see there's so many things to do. You can ride horses, you can do go-karts, Noah's Ark, everything else here that's just fantastic. We've been here once before and this is our second trip. We had a good time last year so we came back again this year. It's not too far away for us. We live in Milwaukee so it's just a couple hours and we can get up here. It was convenient and the hotels and the resorts are nice here. We've come up in the winter where we stayed at the Indoor Water Park so it's a year-round place to come. We really enjoy it. Kids have a good time. As soon as we leave they're already talking about when we're coming back the next time. So we usually come once or twice, winter and spring and then once in the summer. So two, three times a year we try to make it here. Spring, summer, winter or fall, there's always a great reason to visit Wisconsin Dales because here activities and special events take place all year round. In late spring, thousands of visitors gear up for a fun-filled weekend on wheels at Automotion where more than 700 classic cars are on display. From Model Ts to T-Birds, they're all rip-roaring and raring to go. There are also antiques, a swap meet and much more. Not to be outdone though is the multitude of fall activities and festivals, harvest fests and ethnic celebrations that serve up old world flavor and musical entertainment, including our annual autumn harvest fest, a colorful weekend festival celebrated at the peak of the season. And come winter, there's a flurry of activities to enjoy, like downhill skiing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and our popular flake-out festival. Of course, not all the action takes place outdoors. In Wisconsin Dales, motels and resorts with indoor water parks provide hours of fun for families and kids seeking a break from winter's icy grip.
