I'm going to ask you to focus your attention on a place near the middle of the image. And just keep looking at that spot, even as you allow your eyes to follow the spiral. Empty your mind of all other thoughts, if you can. There's no need to worry about any sounds from outside this room. It's just background noise. It's not going to bother us here at all. Just allow any sounds that you may hear to become a part of the experience. And as you continue to look at the image, you may begin to notice that your eyes are starting to blur. It's starting to become difficult to focus. And your eyes are beginning to want to close. Just allow your eyelids now to droop to halfway closed. But continue to look at the image through your half closed eyes, if you can. You may notice that your eyes are becoming even more tired from looking at the image now. It's becoming even more difficult to focus now. And your eyes are really wanting to close now. Just allow your eyelids now to droop closed. Just close your eyes now. That's right. That's right. In a moment, I'm going to count from ten down to one. And as I do so, you're going to go to an even deeper level of consciousness. When I say the even numbers beginning with ten, if you can, open your eyes to halfway. Look back at the image and then close your eyes again. It doesn't matter if you cannot open your eyes. You might not be able to. When I say the odd numbers, you're going to allow yourself to become more and more relaxed. I'm beginning to count now. Ten. Open. Close. Nine. Deeper and deeper. Eight. Open. Close. Seven. Deeper and deeper. Six. Open. Close. Five. Deeper and deeper. Four. Open. Close. Three. Deeper and deeper. Two. Open. Close. One. Your eyes will now remain closed for the rest of the cycle. Just continue to allow yourself to relax now. Even as you gently focus on your breathing. Breathing deeply. Allowing yourself to sink deeper with each breath. Each time that you breathe out, releasing stress and muscular tension through every pore of your skin. And continuing to breathe deeply to allow yourself to sink deeper. And as you breathe out, feel a slight tingling sensation in the tips of your fingers. In the tips of your toes. As you just allow stress to be released through them. And continuing to breathe deeply to allow yourself to sink deeper. And as you do so, experiencing now throughout your body a kind of floating sensation. A sense of almost weightlessness now. As you just allow your mind and your body to drift. To drift now through time and through space. Just drifting now through time and through space. It's almost as if your body no longer belongs to you. Almost as if, even if you wanted to move your body now of your own accord, you couldn't move it. And as you just continue to allow your mind and your body to drift. I'm going to ask you to allow your own mind energy to visualise again the spiral of the image. And to move through that spiral to a very beautiful place. A place where you feel at peace. A place of harmony. Of tranquility. A place where you may allow yourself to drift even deeper. As you seem to follow a pathway as it leads down through the spiral. Going deeper and deeper as I count. From five down to one. Five. Go deeper. Four. Go even deeper now. Three. Go still deeper. Two. Deeper yet. One. You may find yourself now in an even more beautiful place. It could be a garden or a beach or perhaps even a rain forest. I'm not sure. But this is a place where you can rest now or at any time in the future. And if you choose to return here you may do so simply by closing your eyes. Breathing deeply and allowing yourself to be here. It's a special place in your mind. And in this special place you can allow the calm, the tranquility to become more and more a part of your own self, your inner being. And as you continue to spend time here you may notice the beautiful colors here. Perhaps feel the textures. You may even smell your favorite fragrance. Or perhaps hear the beautiful sounds. You may look overhead and see the blue of the sky. Several small white clouds in the sky. Or feel the gentle rays of the sun against your skin. Gentle white healing light tinged with gold. And you can just allow these rays to heal you from the outside in and from the inside out. And you can take this white healing light with you wherever you may go in the future. And it can continue to comfort you, to strengthen you, to heal you. Likewise you may take it with you as you continue here in this beautiful place. And you may come upon a circular lake. A circular lake the surface of which is completely undisturbed. There is not a single ripple here to disturb the surface of the lake. So that you can see a perfect reflection here of your surroundings. And as you look more closely you may see yourself reflected here also. Yourself. Perhaps not quite as you are now. But yourself as you would want to be. Yourself. Exactly as you would wish to become. Happy. Healthy. Confident. Calm. Successful. Prosperous. And having any other attributes which you would wish to assume. But above all see yourself the size and the shape that you want to be. Yes see yourself the size and the shape that you want to be. And know that you can. You will do. Whatever is necessary to become. Exactly as you want to be. And I wonder how that is going to feel for you. When you realize that you can use your own mind energy. To take control of your eating. To take control of your well being. Indeed to take control of your life. I wonder just how good that is going to feel for you. This is your new beginning. A new beginning to a new life in which eating unnecessary food. Is no longer a part. This is about choosing to be healthy. It's not just about losing weight. Indeed weighing yourself may become a thing of the past. As you begin to realize that what is more important. Is how you feel. How you look. A true feeling of well being comes from within. Rather than from a number on a set of scales. Yes your life will change in many ways. You may change your daily eating routine. From now on you'll eat only at meal times. Whether there are three, four or even five meals a day. In this way by eating a number of smaller meals each day. You'll find that you will easily be able to avoid those problem times of day. Those times when you were inclined to snack on those unnecessary foods. Such as in the late afternoon or in the evening. From now on you eat with pre-planning and forethought. Using your own mind energy to come to understand. To know what your body needs. Rather than what it wants. This is about choosing to be healthy. Rather than about losing weight. From now on you will be aware of everything that you put into your mouth. Deciding that you put only those foods, those drinks into your mouth. Which have true nutritional value for your body. Before you begin to eat any food you'll look at it closely. Looking at its color. Perhaps noting its texture. Be aware of its aroma. Then you'll take just small bites into your mouth. When you begin to eat. Savouring your food. Moving it about inside your mouth slowly. Enjoy its taste. Its texture. Chewing it many times. Before swallowing it. Each time that you swallow. Your stomach begins to receive your food. It will start digesting it immediately. You will feel completely satisfied. Until your next meal. That part of your food. Which is absorbed by your body will be easily available to you. In the form of energy. Your body will easily rid itself. Of any residue. I'd like you now to imagine that your body is a car. An automobile. You wouldn't risk having your car break down. From putting poor quality fuel into it. Would you? No of course you wouldn't. Then why would you risk having your own body. The only body that you'll ever have. Break down. As a result of putting poor quality fuel into it. You will begin to notice. That as the quality of the food you eat. Improves. The performance of your body will begin to improve. Also. Your metabolism will begin to speed up. Your energy levels will rise. Your sense of well being. Will increase. There will be no need. To take in large quantities of food. As your body will become more and more fuel efficient. With each passing day. Delivering high performance levels. While sustaining. Feelings of well being. Indeed. Feeling better and better each day. And I wonder. Just how good. This is going to feel. For you. I'd like you now. To imagine. That you are entering a large and ornate building. You have been invited here to eat. But what is really quite strange about this experience. Is that you are the only person. Invited. As you enter. The beautifully decorated room. You see before you. Two. Very large tables. One has a black table cloth. The other. Has a white table cloth. Instinctively moved to one table. The one with the black cloth. You notice. That on it. I spread all the problem foods. The foods. Which are responsible. For your problem. There may be chocolate. Cakes. Biscuits. Fast food. You know what the foods are. You can see them there before you. You may reach out your hand. To one of the sweet foods. Perhaps the chocolate. Take it into your mouth. It tastes so sweet. Almost tasting bitter. It is so sweet. Too sweet. And the texture of the fat it contains. Feels so greasy in your mouth. Too greasy. You want to spit it out. To be rid of it from your mouth. To be rid of it from your eating regime. Indeed. To be rid of it. From your life. In the same way. You may try other problem foods. Or drinks. You know what is enjoyed. You find that. You no longer like the taste or the texture. Of these foods or drinks in your mouth. If at anytime. You think of eating these unnecessary foods. You will immediately take a deep breath, breathe deeply and as you release that and each succeeding breath, you'll release all desire for those foods and you'll know in your own mind that you have taken control of your eating. If at any time you think of eating those unnecessary foods, if you think of drinking those unnecessary drinks, you will immediately take a deep breath, breathe deeply and as you release that and each succeeding breath, you'll release all desire for those unnecessary foods, for those unnecessary drinks and you'll know in your mind that you don't need those foods or drinks anymore. Now whenever you see in your mind those unnecessary foods or drinks, or you think about eating them, or you think about buying them, you'll see a larger stop sign in your mind and you'll hear a word echo through your mind, stop, stop, stop, stop and you will say to yourself, I no longer need nor want to eat those unnecessary foods. You now turn your back on the problem foods and turn to the other table and you look at what that table holds and you see a profusion of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables. Just look at the beautiful colors, true colors. You take pleasure in eating these foods now as your body actually begins to crave fresh fruit, fresh vegetables. Fruits are your natural sweets. The fruit sugar tastes sweet and clean on your tongue and feel the wonderful texture in your mouth. Hear your body thanking you for these wonderful gifts as you eat your fill of these fresh fruit and vegetables. These are the foods that you enjoy now and look at the sparkling fresh water there for you to drink and you drink it thirstily and your body thanks you. You will begin to notice in the days to come that your body begins to crave physical activity like walking, working, moving. By making use of your own mind energy your body will tell you what it wants, what it needs. You will have energy to spare. And I wonder just how good that will feel for you when you experience full health, full fitness, full vitality. To know just how good it feels to be alive. I wonder just how good that will feel for you. Using your own mind energy you have decided to take control. Experience a sense of confidence, of well-being, of tranquility, look again at your reflection and see yourself again there reflected the size and the shape that you want to be and know in your mind that you have taken control not only of your eating but also of your body. Indeed you can take control of your life. I'm going to stop talking now for a few moments to allow these thoughts to dwell in your subconscious mind. I'm beginning to count now. One, eyes beginning to open. Two, beginning to feel revitalised. Three, eyes even more open. Four, feeling more and more excited.
