In two massive buildings, comprising nearly 300,000 square feet, you�ll see many of
the most advanced herb processing techniques in the world today.
For example, let�s examine the water used in processing many Sunrider products.
Some would be satisfied to use common tap water.
Not so at Sunrider.
Chemicals in the water, such as fluoride and chlorine, are removed through activated charcoal
filters.
Reverse osmosis removes other microscopic particles, and ultraviolet lights kill naturally
occurring bacteria.
While to the casual observer there may be no detectable difference, to meet Sunrider�s
stringent standards, our pure water makes all the difference in the world.
From the time the carefully selected herbs reach Sunrider�s processing facilities,
until they�re in the hands of you, the consumer, the herbs pass through dozens of sophisticated
processing and quality control measures.
After initial examination and cleansing by hand, some herbs are chopped and others powdered
to optimize the next step, the extraction of critical nutrients from the herb bulk.
The herbs are mixed with Sunrider�s purified water and carefully heated so that the nutrients
can be separated from the bulk and extracted with their whole food properties intact.
Until the bulk materials are discarded, this nutrient-rich liquid then flows through a
condenser, where up to 95% of the remaining water is removed and recycled.

to special rooms.

Throughout the entire process, quality control measures are enforced in the lab and in the
plant.
At this sorting machine, for example, every capsule is individually examined before the
capsules are counted, enveloped and packaged.
And here in our microbiology lab, samples of our finished products are once again tested
to verify their purity.
Then and only then are these products released for distribution to Sunriders throughout the
world.
