I used to have this girlfriend known as Elsie. With whom I shared four sort of rooms in Chelsea. She wasn't what you'd call a blushing flower. As a matter of fact, she ranted by the hour. Can you believe it? The day she died, the neighbors came to snicker. Well, that's what comes from too much pills and liquor. Now sweep. But when I saw her laid out like a queen, I thought she was the happiest corpse I'd ever seen. I think of Elsie to this very day. Back and in. I remember how she turned to me. Slow it back and in. I'm so glad you decided to join us in our Tone Up on Broadway workout. Now before you begin, there's some important information I want to tell you about. I want to show you how to use your firming cords. Your firming cords come with two handles and three cords. If you're just starting out, I recommend that you use one cord to do these exercises. You can do this by placing a single cord in the center notch of each handle. If you're a regular exerciser, try two cords and position them in the two end notches. If you're real strong, go for three cords. If you get stronger, just add additional cords to increase your resistance. To insert the cord into the handles, stretch the cord out slightly and slip the elastic tube through the Z-shaped slot and give it a little tug to make sure it's securely placed in the notch. Now it's very important to make sure the cord is firmly in place before beginning to exercise. To take out a cord, just reverse the process. Now grasp the handles, don't squeeze them, just hold them securely. Keep your wrists straight at all times. Keep your knees slightly bent. Breathe through every exercise. You should feel your muscles work to the point where they get tired. It's okay if you have to stop. It means your muscles will grow back stronger and more toned. Concentrate on doing the exercises correctly. Form is just as important as how much resistance you use to tone all the muscles in your body. Now watch as I tone up on Broadway cast. Show you the proper form for each exercise. On the lat pull down and lat pull up, bring your elbow as far back as you can without letting your shoulders twist. Always keep the arm that isn't working slightly bent and move it still. It should move at all times. For punch outs, keep the movement smooth and steady. For the rotator exercises, your elbows stay still. Simply rotate your whole arm up or out from the shoulder. For your shoulder exercises, bend your arms slightly and don't let that elbow move as you raise the arm front, diagonal or sideways. Control is the key on the overhead shoulder press and no jerking, please. The working arm is close to your body on the bicep curl. Keep your other arm out from your body to isolate your biceps. Now for tricep exercises, the movement is very precise and smooth. That's it, you're ready to tone. Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music
