So that, yes, my name is Barry Cassidy and I've been doing this for a little while now, but I want to go right back to the beginning for the benefit of those of you who haven't been to a meeting before. For those of you who have been to one of my meetings and heard it all before, sorry about that, but like I said, to the benefit of those people who haven't, I'd like to start right at the very beginning. Before I do, it was in the last couple of days, I'd like to just let you know where we're at as far as the cash club's concerned and I've been now, it's been 22 months that I've been involved, just under two years and we've just passed the $100 million payout to the players. So the thing is going from strength to strength and whilst the players are out there working the game, it's working very, very well for them. What I want to say right from the beginning is that I don't want anybody to think that this game is a game where it's just a matter of parting with some money and it'll all happen for you. Because if somebody is telling you that, they're talking crap, that's not the way the game works and I'll explain to you exactly how the game works and what makes it work as we go through the process. As was said, we will ask you obviously do you have any questions but I'd ask you to leave that and not put your hand up whilst I'm explaining the game to you because probably while I'm explaining the game to you, I'll answer the question that you were going to ask me anyway. Okay, to give you an idea of my involvement with this game, I've never prior to this ever been involved in anything like this before in my life. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade and I've basically worked hard for every dollar that I've ever earned and when I was approached with this game as I said almost two years ago, a friend of mine came to my business and approached me with it and I promptly told him to leave via the nearest exit because I wasn't at all interested. To say that I was skeptical would be the world's biggest understatement. I just didn't want to know about it. I think that that's a fairly normal reaction from people who are approached with this concept and with this game. It's quite a normal human reaction to reject it because basically everybody's opinion is that there's no such thing as a free lunch and that was certainly my opinion. He did convince me to go and check it out where it was happening and I guess simply for the sake of getting him to go away and leave me alone because he's a pretty good mate of mine and he was convinced that I should be having a look at it. So rather than listen to him crank on about it for another hour, I said okay let's go. So we went to a businessman's premises and it was a very well respected guy, one of the most respected business people in Launceston and it was happening at his house and as I walked down the driveway my solicitor was walking out of the house and I said, how are you mate, what's going on? He said well I've just got involved in something that I think you should get involved with and that obviously sowed the seed with me and when I got into the house where it was happening and games were laid out and things were going on I seen some other people that I knew quite well in business and I knew that those people were fairly astute business people and if they were there having a look at this thing that perhaps I should have a look at it. I had this gut feeling that something was wrong, that it couldn't possibly work, that it couldn't happen. I must say that at the time that I was approached with this game my cash flow was at a low ebb and my overdraft was over at Overs and I had some wages to pay the next day for the people that worked for me and things were a bit tough and so to look at getting involved in this game anyway financially wasn't on for me because I joined at the $2000 level and going back to my office and sitting there and thinking about it for a little while I decided that I was going to give it a flight but I didn't have a lazy two grand so I reamed my wife and asked her how much she had left on a plastic and that didn't work. So I reamed my bank manager and told him a fib and to cut a long story short I got the money and got involved but I really didn't know, I got involved naively because the game was not explained to me correctly and that's the difference between then and now. I don't want anybody to get involved in this game unless you have it explained to you correctly because what we don't want is crocodile tears later because somebody hasn't explained it properly so please make sure that you know about the concept of the game before you get involved because once you've got involved and once you've started with the game unless you know how to work the game it may not work for you and it may not be in your best interest to get involved in this game unless you know exactly what you're getting into. I didn't, I naively gave over two grand and four and a half days later I got 16 and I thought hang on a minute, how long has this been going on and I really even then when it was happening couldn't believe that this thing worked. So I did a bit of research on these games and found out where they came from and what they were all about and I found that they mostly always fall over, almost always had stopped mainly because the organisers of those games were collecting the money and they collected until they got enough of it and they say thanks for that, see you later. It doesn't happen in our game but I must tell you that when I joined that's exactly what was going on. When I picked up my $16,000 I got it in an envelope out of a cardboard box on this lady's kitchen table and in that cardboard box was a lot of other envelopes for 16 grand. Crazy, ludicrous. We all know what some people will do to you for a lot less than $16,000 and I seen that as being a problem right from the word go and as I said I did some research on the games and I found out that the main reason for the games stopping was the organisers either disappearing with the money or telling people that the money had disappeared somehow or other, somebody had got the money. So I figured that there was only one way to counteract that and that was not to have the money collected by the organisers, to have the players give their money individually to the next player. After having made a few suggestions to the organisers of the game that I was joined I was promptly told that I should go and play my own game somewhere else. So that's what I did. I took my existing game that I was on, they gave me a copy of my game, at that point in time it was very difficult to get a copy of your game but they did give me a copy of my game and a copy of a couple of other games where I had introduced friends and that's how basically how my cash club got going. It was originally called the Concord I might add and the reason I changed the name of it because I didn't want to be confused by about 20,000 other people that are playing different Concord games because we just don't want that confusion. The next thing I did was go into the legality of this game fairly seriously because the last thing you want to do is be doing something that you're not allowed to do and I found out lots of things that you can and can't do. And you're not allowed to hold people's money let me tell you that. Without a properly registered trust account like a solicitor or a real estate agent you shouldn't be holding other people's money. So when you join this game your money should only be going to the person at the top of the game. You shouldn't be giving your money to a third person or any other person. I had a guy, I rang a guy up yesterday to ask him how he was going because he had a full game that had been sitting there for a few days and I said, mate how are you going with the money from that game that's been sitting there a few days are you going to be ready to split it and he said, ah some blokes collecting the money for me. Well nobody should be collecting the money for you when you're at the top of the game I'll tell you. The money should be coming directly from the people coming on board to the person at the top. Anyway going back as I said we developed our game and we developed our rules basically around what I had seen to be over a period of time problem areas in the game that needed addressing until such time as I've got the rules up to where they are right now and they're reasonably bullet proof I believe. One of the biggest improvements made to the game was when I introduced a rule whereby if there's somebody there that hadn't produced any recruits well it made it very difficult for the other people below them because they either had to push them to the top and pay them out or sit there and that's the way the game used to be. I mean lots of people used to go to the top without any recruits and get paid out simply because the people underneath them obviously wanted to move on. The only way they could move on was to get those people out of the way. Nowadays of course those of you that are already playing the game will know that if you're Vice President and you haven't got your two recruits that's as far as you go. Okay let's explain to you now how the game is played and the way that you should be playing it and I want to say right now that if there's any confusion any time about how you should be playing the game or what you should be doing all you have to do is rim myself or rim my wife Mary and we will tell you. Unfortunately what happens is sometimes when people are asking people things about the game the people they're talking to don't know and there becomes all this misinformation about the game. So if you have any questions about the game our phones are turned on not quite 24 hours a day but they're usually turned on with the exception of one that got stolen out of my car today. So just quickly I must apologise if anybody was trying to rim me on the 0419 number this afternoon some lowlife nicked it. I'd like to catch him. Anyway we'll get that fixed tomorrow so both the phone numbers will be active again. Right the way you play this game is by joining as a club member and when you join as a club member your money whether you join it doesn't matter what level we play it whether it's 500, 2000 or 5000 the rules are all the same. Obviously the bigger games are bigger odds but the rules for each game at each level are the same. So you join by and we'll use a $500 game as an example by spending $500 to join as a club member and that goes to the president of the game. Shouldn't go to anybody else. Obviously there are circumstances sometimes when other people give the money to somebody else to give to somebody else. That's not the way you should be playing it because in all this money that has changed hands so far we haven't lost any money. We've had to chase some up from time to time because somebody's given it to somebody to give it to somebody to give it to somebody. That's as I said that's not the way you should be playing it. Your money should simply go to this person at the top. Now the game doesn't move until the bottom line is full. Unfortunately the way some people play the game is that they put a couple of people they come on the bottom put a couple of people on with them and they don't want to put anybody on the other side of the game. Well that is bullshit. You know unless you fill the bottom line up the game doesn't move. Okay a lot of people say I want to stay with my mates. Well I can tell you about games where people want to stay with their mates. They sometimes sit there for a long time because they're being too selfish to fill the bottom line up and get on with it. It doesn't matter if you're playing the game with your very best friend in the world or somebody from outer space. The rules are the same. Everybody puts two people on. So it doesn't matter where you are. The simple fact is that everybody's got to put two people on. So by staying with your mates let me tell you what happens. Because I've seen it happen so many times. You'll stay there for a little while and your little group will work really good for a little while but eventually you need some outside influence in your game. If you all just stay together guess what happens. You're all trying to recruit the same people the same group of people because you all know the same people and you'll run out of people real quick. Well maybe not real quick but you'll certainly run out of people quicker than those people who are just prepared to fill their bottom line up and they're on there with people that they would have never known in their life and those people that they would never have known are recruiting people of course under that game. Where by those people who just want to stay there with their friends quite often get stuck just with their friends. So don't be selfish and stop half way through the game. So I'm not putting anybody over the other side there because as I said the game might sit there for a long time. The aim of the game is to fill the bottom line up and then the person at the top goes. Now that's the big difference between our game and what's commonly known as pyramid selling. One of the things that is quite often thrown at you when you're trying to recruit people for this game i.e. pyramid selling. We are not pyramid selling. With pyramid selling the person at the top stays at the top. Okay and the bottom line gets fatter and fatter and fatter and as the bottom line gets fatter people down the pyramid start getting paid some money. We are, our game if you want to use the terminology for it is matrix and it is in the Oxford dictionary if you want to look it up. Okay because this person as I said can only stop there until eight positions on the bottom are sold. Once those eight positions are sold the game splits in two and two new ones take off and I'll show you that on the other chart. But before we move from this chart let me tell you a few things. Okay like I said unless you've got two recruits you don't proceed to the top. You can proceed as far as vice president and that's as far as you'll go. If somebody is trying to recruit you by saying listen don't worry about two people I'll get a couple for you. No they might get a couple for you but let me tell you I know some really good players who have really burnt themselves out trying to get recruits for other people that they've recruited. Unless you're able to get two recruits or unless you're willing at least to have a fair dinkum go at getting two recruits it's not much point joining the game because this is a game of recruitment and I know there's other people playing other games and some of them might be here tonight that are telling people whether they're playing these other games that you don't have to get any people to play our game. Ever think about it. The only thing that makes these games work is people coming on board. So if somebody's telling you I'll come and play my game you don't need to put any people on. As I said just have a think about it because unless people recruit for this game it won't work. The pitfalls of this game and there are some like I said don't let anybody tell you that nothing can go wrong. Of course some things can go wrong. The pitfalls of this game are just this. If you join this game and you don't do anything and the rest of the people on the game don't do anything you know where it's going? Nowhere. Okay? So be aware of that. Now once you've bought a position you own it. It's yours and you can sell it any time you like. But that's not to say that you can just hop on the telephone to Mary Irion and say well I want to sell my spot can you pop the $500 in the mail this afternoon. Your spot belongs to you and once it's sold the money will go back to you. But the most likely people to sell that position on a game are other people off that game because it's in their interest to get that spot sold so that they can get somebody on there that's going to be doing something. Because if you've got to the stage where you can't recruit and you want to sell well obviously you're not going to be doing anything for that game. So it's in the interest of the other people on the game to sell that position get the money back to you get a person on there that can recruit. But like I said if you get on there and you don't recruit and the rest of the crew don't do anything well obviously it'll slow it down. You do own the position it's yours and nobody can kick you off a game nobody. Had a fellow ring me oh I don't know a few days ago and said Barry I'm a bit concerned they've given me the drum that you're kicking me off the game. I said hey. He said well person on the game rang me up and said that unless I've got my two recruits by four o'clock this afternoon Barry Cassidy is kicking you off the game. Bullshit. I don't kick people off the game you own the position you've paid five hundred dollars for it it's yours and nobody can kick you off it. Let me tell you that. If you're not doing any good on the game and you're not able to recruit certainly people can ask you would you be interested in selling your position. There's no harm in that but nobody can force you off the game. So if that scenario arrives and somebody says that to you. No it doesn't happen. Okay the other thing is that some some people when they get to the top of a game you know in order to in order to fill it up they'll put a couple of falsies on the bottom and that's why we ask for a name and phone number of those people playing the game so that we know that the people coming on there are genuine and so that each person joining the game when you get a fax of your game you get a cover sheet with everybody's phone name and phone number and it's in your best interest to contact those people just to just to make contact with the people that are playing the game with you. It's it's it's amazes me when I get phone calls from people who don't not only don't they know the number of their game they've got no idea who the people are they're playing with or where they are and it's and it's much too hard for Mary and I to look through six hundred games trying to find them. Let me tell you so it's important that you stay up to speed with the status of your game and where you're at at all times because if there are any problems if there are any problems that arise you then have the opportunity of not just ringing me to see what's going on but also ringing the other people on the game and not not to not to air raid them but to simply ask them how they're going and if they've got any possibility of recruiting because if they're not going to be recruiting well that's when you need to be perhaps saying well do you think you should set your spot so you can we can put somebody on there that will recruit. Okay as I said once the game fills up it will split and break into two. If the vice president's sitting there and hasn't got two recruits the best performed recruiter underneath them will take their position and they will move back to wherever that person came from. In other words what I'm saying is if there's somebody on the bottom row that's got their two recruits and the people in front of them haven't this person will go straight to the top and this person will go back to their position so that when the game splits this person will end up on the committee level but the most common scenario is that is someone on the committee that takes the spot so when the game splits they end up back in vice president anyway so but if somebody's been overtaken on the game a couple of times that's really is time to start thinking about popping off and getting somebody on there that can work the game and that quite often happens where that people are overtaken a couple of times. Okay now the numbers a lot of people ask me how many how many people it takes to get to the top and that's I'm not a mathematician but it's very very easy to work out and some people come up with incredible numbers that it takes to get from the bottom to the top you know some people say 600 some people say 420 it's nothing like that but it depends how many people sold on the bottom row when you join up how long it takes you to get to the top and we'll just use two scenarios here if you're the first person to join up well obviously the seven more to come on before you go to there and then once the next eight come on you go to there that's 15 and then the next eight come on you go to there okay that's 23 people between you starting there and going there now obviously you're going to say well how can I recruit 23 people you won't well you might but I doubt it everybody on the game is recruiting and that obviously unless everybody on the game is recruiting you'll be slower getting to the top than than people on other games but that's how many people it takes for you joining up there with an empty bottom row if you go to the other side and you take and you buy the last position on a game well obviously you eliminate the first seven because those first seven are already on there so you take that seven off the off that equation and that's how many it takes to get to the top 16 okay well once the game is full as I said it splits and two new games take off and we start again with an empty bottom row and the process just we go through exactly the same process we started through a lot of people don't get how it works with the split who a lot of people say who goes up first everybody goes up together at the same time once again split everybody goes up as I said if the vice president hasn't got to well that person doesn't go up they can't go up without their two so but a lot of people are confused by the split the other thing that can happen on splits if this vice president hasn't got his his or her two and this person over here is the best performed recruiter this person will come across to here okay so it's not some people think it's just the best performed recruiter on this side of the game it's not it's the best performed recruiter on the game as such so the person happens to be there or there it doesn't matter where they are they'll come to the top so sometimes in the split of the game one person can go from one side to the other if they happen to be the best performed recruiter now this game is a great game and a fair game and there's a lot of fun to be had and obviously the main aim is for somebody for people to make some money out of it but what I want to tell you is that there's one down one downside of the game that I really see coming to the fore more than anything else and that's a human element called greed you know a lot money twists some people's heads up for some reason and I've been in a situation in you know in my 30 years in business where there has been times when when I've had some money and there's been lots of times when I've had none and it's better to have some but there's absolutely no point making enemies out of people over money no point in that whatsoever as I said unfortunately money sometimes twists people's heads up and and there's not much you can we can do about that because every person is different but I can tell you as far as I'm concerned I can't see any point in making enemies out of a stranger or a friend over money no matter what the amount is because basically you've got to live with it and there's nowhere I can't hold my head up anywhere I've been with this game and Mary and I have been to lots and lots of rural areas we've been all up and down the East and seaboard of Australia and there's over to Western Australia and there's nowhere that I've told people any different story about this game than what I'm telling you here tonight so as long as everybody plays it fairly this game is a lot of fun and basically you're the master of your own destiny in the game lots of us go through life wondering and thinking about what it would be like to get a leg up by winning Tatsalato or having a rich rally leave us some money or whatever and and for the most part I guess that doesn't happen but with this game you can make it happen and the numbers the numbers when you think about a lot of people I suppose the majority of people work for an income of somewhere between 20 and 50 grand a year depending on what you do and where you're at what your profession is and it never fails to amaze me when I'm talking to people about their game and why they haven't done something about it they tell me they're too busy and I'll just give you one example of that a friend of mine in Tasmania who'd been on the $2,000 game for a little while and hadn't done anything I said mate why haven't you done something you've done nothing he said mate I'm too busy he said I get out of bed in the dark and I go to work he said I come home about seven o'clock at night I'm too busy and I said well listen you're too busy doing what you're too busy washing cars for Avers because that's what he did he worked at the Launceston airport I said and I don't want to be rude mate but are they paying you 25 grand a year he said why not quite I said well are they paying you 22 or 23 grand he said round about that I said okay they're paying you 22 or 23 grand to go to Launceston airport five o'clock in the morning put your hands in cold water and wash cars you're in a game whereas the $16,000 return if you go through it twice a year that's 32 that's more than you're earning washing cars he said I don't know well cut a long story short a couple of days later he did something about his game and he got paid out so what I'm saying is a lot of people don't take this game seriously enough they don't think about the returns available in this game if you take it seriously enough we make ourselves we make ourselves busy doing things that are not going to return you the sort of money that this game will return you and I'm not suggesting for a moment that everybody suddenly stop what they're doing and just play this game but what I'm trying to point out is that there is a great return in this game if you take it seriously enough and it is serious money we've had a situation not once not twice but quite a few times where we've had people get as much as $64,000 out of this game in a three-week period you know now with it with the $500 game which gives you $4,000 return if you went through once a year just once a year that's more money than any other financial advisor can get you for 500 bucks take your 500 bucks to any to any investment house that you like and say here's my 500 bucks I want four grand back at the end of the year they'll laugh you out of the office you know but you can get that out of this game frequently if you play it correctly and with the $2,000 game it is very very achievable to go through that $2,000 game four times in a year and that's $64,000 now I was in business for almost 30 years before this game came along and I can tell you there was never ever one business that I had or anything that I did that I was able to nick $64,000 in cash out of in a 12-month period now obviously obviously the odds go up if you went through a $5,000 game once in a year it's 40 grand so think about it I mean you people are playing the fight at 500 and there are some here tonight that are already up in the $2,000 level think about it obviously as you go through your $500 game and you get out the other end for your second or third time or whatever that by stepping up to the next level obvious obviously the returns are bigger and if you've already recruited people that for the $500 game obviously they can be your recruits for your bigger games this but I I still play $500 games don't worry I play it I play at every level there's nothing wrong with playing $500 game the good thing about the $500 game is that it's introduced a lot of people to the game that would never ever have got involved at the $2,000 level first up like I did but as I said the $500 game is a stepping stone to the bigger games and as I said if you take it seriously enough and that's one of the one of the things that amazes me that people just don't take it seriously enough they they think oh yeah I'll have a look at that at the weekend but you should you should be thinking about it I know when I first got involved in my after certainly after my first payout it took up just about every waking moment I mean it basically took over because I thought well if if this thing works as good as this I mean this is going to make more money than I can ever make land underneath the bulldozer in the highlands of Tasmania in the snow and that's what I that's what we decided to do and then we've been doing it full-time now we can't well we obviously can't do anything else because of the time that it takes up okay I think at this point in time then I'll ask for questions anybody got any questions on the game okay is anybody here yes there's one there no no no no okay when you're at the top and that's one of the things that that I discourage if you like is meeting at meetings like this and lots and lots of money changing hands there's some problems there first of all it's illegal like a two-up game that becomes and I know that there is I know there's there is a an excitement thing like like feeding fodder to the cattle or sheep I know there's an excitement thing when there's people getting paid lots of money in front of other people but I see that as a problem not just because it's illegal I suppose we could do it here in this backyard and and there'd be no consequence of that but the fact is that when people see somebody with a bag full of money I don't think it's a good thing to to have the risk of having somebody follow you home take it off you that's that's the big danger I feel but the way you get paid out is once you're at the top every time somebody comes on your bottom row they pay you okay now we've got people playing from from all walks of life we've got people from you know from the police from sporting clubs like it's a great fundraiser for sporting clubs and what I mean by that some people say what do you mean by that well if a sporting club frees up some money to buy one of these positions on a game and their and their members buy by positions on the same game push that seat through for the club well it's a very very good way of putting some coffers in the tin of a club whether it be a football club or a cricket club or whatever I was president of a motor racing club for five years and we were always trying to raise money having silly raffles and treasure hunts and all this thing trying to put a few measly dollars in the tin for the club whereas with these games it the fundraising ability of these games is just fantastic so we've got people from the church who tell us they're using it for fundraising but anyway we've got people from the church involved we've got we've basically got people from all walks of life and one of the biggest mistakes you can make is not to ask someone because you think they wouldn't be interested I've made that mistake lots of times I thought oh I won't ask her I don't think she'd be interested next thing you know somebody else has recruited the same person so it's a game for everybody there's nothing some people will moralise about this game and say what if what if my friend doesn't get through as long as you explain the game correctly to your friend it's up to your friend you shouldn't have any any sort of worries about what if what if because the morals of the game I don't think if you start moralising about this game and once you understand it correctly I think this is a much much fairer game than the poker machines than Tatsalotto then all sorts of gambling that you can think of at least with this game you the players can control it you know look if you go and have a bet on a pony and the thing doesn't win well you can't go and get your money back from the bookie you know if you if you put your money on the roulette table and the ball doesn't fall in the right slot the group you won't give you your money back with this game you people are the only people who can stop this game are you the players if you decide to put your frocks up and say no not playing anymore well that's your decision okay but then you are the only people that can stop the game and so as I said you are you are in control of your own destiny because you can make it work whereas as I said in other forms of gambling and this is gambling there's no there's no other way to describe it you're taking a punt but it's a good time with other forms of gambling you have no control over it okay now I've seen it I've I've seen it turn people's lives around this game I've seen people that have been absolutely down and out and had to go and borrow money to get involved with this game and I've seen it turn their lives around I'll just give you one example a friend of mine is now living here in Melbourne with us well not with us but he's here in Melbourne he's in his 70s and and he had a horrific car accident in his middle 60s and his wife was killed and he almost died and and he lost his business and went bankrupt and he'd worked all his life and and had a reasonable business but he lost all that and in his late 60s he was driving an earth-moving machine for wages because they'd bankrupted him he couldn't he couldn't live on a pension because of commitments that he had and so he's driving an excavator for a living in his late 60s and when this game came along I didn't I didn't sort of say too much about it about the game but my wife did and he he bring me up and abused me and said why didn't you tell me about that game and I said well mate you know there's a risk involved he said what risk are you talking about I'm 70 years old there's no risk anyway to cut a long story short he he doesn't have to drive excavators anymore and that's just that's just one good story I mean my wife Mary Mary's had people on the phone in tears just overcome with emotion because the money has started to come in and they were and they've been in situations where they didn't know where they were going to get their next two bob from this games come along and they've got involved and the money started to come in so if anybody ever tells me anybody ever tells me oh yeah but I know somebody that hasn't got any money are you all game yet I can tell you lots of people that have and I can tell you lots and lots of good stories and and the thing is that once you're involved in the game as I said you own the position and it's up to you a lot of people say my games a bit slow what can I do well the thing is as I said to analyze the game to talk to the people involved in the game and it's up to you people involved in that particular game to get it going I'll assist you in in talking to people on your behalf but I can't put people on your game because simply I don't have the people put on games I struggle to recruit myself sometimes I've recruited somewhere in the area of 300 people personally but most of the people I recruit these days are complete strangers obviously and Mary and I just don't get time individually to go and talk to people to recruit them because we're back home on the phone and fax so but we are prepared to talk to people on your behalf as long as you give us the people to talk to and if you've got somebody interested in the game you think I read is interested in the game but you can't explain it properly well I'm prepared to do that for you so don't be backward in asking if you want me to talk to somebody I had a lady on the phone this afternoon wanted to know where the next meeting was she lived in Clayton and I told her I'd be down here tonight she said oh that's too far for me and I that that blows my brain you know she wouldn't come from Clayton to here like we've driven from Keelaw and you know she was interested in in bringing some people along for a meeting but it had to be next door I think so you know for the sort of return that's involved in this game it's worth driving across town and I know it's I know it can sometimes be difficult I didn't want to be here tonight be quite honest not because I'm not interested in the game but because I'm racing at Sanddown this weekend and I've got three racing cars back there in my workshop that really need me. Excuse me. Yes. Are you saying that pyramid is legal? No it's not no pyramid selling is not legal no it's not no you're wrong you're totally wrong you what I've just explained to the common gate the people here that the difference between matrix and pyramid selling the pyramid selling the person at the top stays at the top doesn't get off stays there. Now matrix. Are you saying that the person at the top there doesn't move? No I'm saying in pyramid selling they don't know in pyramid selling the person at the top doesn't move no. It's still pyramid. No well you're wrong the thing is with pyramid selling it's totally illegal and we have spent a lot of money on the legalities of this game and we are not pyramid selling and I'll debate that with you until tomorrow morning if you like I can tell you you're wrong. Okay. Yes. So even though it's legal it shouldn't be a watch loss. Do they cause bad publicity? Yes they do yeah. And sort of put a fear in the people so they say no don't do that. Oh yes they do that from time to time and that's a natural scaremongering thing that they call upon from time to time. What you've got to understand here is that there are no tax dollars involved in this and for that reason they don't like it but the only thing that they can do about it is from time to time say that people shouldn't get involved in it and you can't do anything about it you can't do anything about stopping them from saying that but I will say that I have taken legal action and anybody that says the game is illegal should watch themselves because I've taken legal action against the police superintendent and that's happening right now and I've taken legal action against a regional newspaper and that's happening right now because anybody says it's illegal they're basically saying that I'm carrying on an illegal activity so by saying that they're calling me a crook and by saying that they're defaming me so they should be careful because I will issue anybody that says it I'll issue them with a Supreme Court writ tomorrow morning. So you've got something in writing that's saying it's illegal? Absolutely I have and if you say it's illegal I'll issue you with a writ. No I'm not going to do it. If you've got something that's been down that says it's legal. Just the tax side of it I was just wondering what the tax would be about. The tax department has said this publicly they've actually come out publicly and said that they will look at individual cases. The same as professional gambling. If you're a professional punter the tax man will have a look at your winnings. If you're a person that has a bet on a pony from time to time well they don't look at that but the accountants involved in this game have explained, they've said this to me, they've said basically Barry if you invest some money in this game and you don't get a result then you can't claim it as a tax deduction. You know for instance if you put 500 bucks and you haven't got a result by the end of the financial year you can't claim that 500 bucks. So therefore if you put 500 in and you do get a result why then should you pay them okay because they won't give it back to you if you put it in and haven't got a return. But wouldn't they regard you as a professional punter in this time and situation? Yes. Have they looked into you? Yes, yep, yep. And they can't touch you? No we do it all up front. So we don't have any problems. But for those people sometimes ask me what will they do with their money. Do you have to hide it or do you have to put it in the bank account? If you've got a problem with it just get involved in motor racing. You've got none left. But if you put it into your own bank account things like that you're saying they still can't touch you? In any financial institution let me tell you this if you put an amount of $10,000 or more in any financial institution whether it be a bank or building society or whatever that institution is required by law to inform the taxation department. So you've got to understand that if you put that money in they may have a look at you and ask you where you got it from. But it's up to individuals what they do with their money. But the tax man has said quite publicly that he would look at individual cases. It's a little bit vague isn't it? From their point of view I mean. Oh absolutely but I mean the situation is it's a bit like the bridge in Hobart got knocked down once with a ship and people were killed. Now I think the situation is that if people thought about that a lot of people wouldn't travel over the Hobart bridge each day but they do. And I've always had a philosophy of taking the pill when you get the pain. You know like growing marijuana is definitely illegal. A lot of people grow them. But this game is this game as long as we play it the way that it is set out the way the consumer laws are set out and consumer laws vary we've been through the consumer laws in every state in Australia and the way depending on how the consumer laws are written from state to state as long as we follow the steps that are set out for us what we can and can't do we are 100% inside the law. Now some people say what if they change the legislation? Well that's the same as I've just said take the pill when you get the pain and if they change the legislation they can't make it retrospective anyway. So the simplest way to explain the legality of this game it's a very very simple way. If I meet you somewhere for lunch and we're talking and I say I really need $500 and I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to pay this $500 back to you and you are prepared to give me $500 can that be illegal? Can somebody arrest me for that? I wouldn't think so. But if I met you for lunch and I said listen I really need $500 and I'll pay you back on Friday and I have no intention of paying you back that's a different matter. That's a different matter altogether and that's what I'm saying about the guidelines of this game. As long as everybody has it explained properly to them before they get involved and obviously the rules it's written clearly in the rules that is no promise or guarantee of a return unless those people involved in particular games do what they've got to do. Like I said if they don't the games might not move for a long time. So as long as nobody if there is an individual that recruits in a different way well the flak goes back to that individual not to me because if somebody here recruits somebody using the method of saying you don't have to do anything just give me this give me your money you'll be right. Well you know somewhere down the track somebody might bite you on the back of the leaf. Okay. When we recruit two people we would have to notify them to get the six against our name so they know who we are. Well you always have to ring the coordinator which is the coordinators which myself and Mary in order to register your people. There is a little bit of a problem in that area from time to time where people give their recruits if you like give the information about their recruits to somebody else to ring me but unless somebody rings Mary or I to put your people on the game they're not on the game because if you ring me up to say how am I going on my game and somebody hasn't registered you well you're not on there. If you're not on one of the master sheets you're not on. So it's much simpler if you just ring us direct. And then do you ring the one at the top to check that they've paid the money? Well what I do is once the game is full I ring the person at the top to see if they've got all their money because I won't split a game unless the person at the top's paid. We don't split games unless that person's received their money and so when I make a phone call to that person like I said a few days ago I made a phone call to a guy that's got a game that's sitting there that's full and it's been like that for a few days and he said somebody's collecting the money for me. Well you know that's not the way the game should be played. So no games get split unless the money is paid. So it's once again it's in the interests of the President to stay in contact with us and get to know what the status of the game to know how many people is on their bottom row. To be quite honest it's an absolutely impossible task for Mary and I to ring every single President as the people come on but the President should ring us at least once a week to see how their game's going. Okay any other questions? Where? Okay well it's transferred in lots of different ways obviously if you're physically close to somebody you just give it to them but the most common way is in the post office what we call an electronic money order where the money is paid into the post office in cash and it is cash like we don't play with checks or postal notes or anything else it's cash. You take your money and cash into the post office to be sent to wherever the person is obviously and they can then go into their post office half an hour later and pick it up. It'll cost you $20 for that transaction and I don't think the $20 is I think it's inconsequential because when it's your turn at the top somebody will be spending $20 a cent a year. However if you've got a TAB account that's not a bad way of doing it. Lots of people use credit cards from time to time and I use my credit card myself because a credit card transaction doesn't often show up because most people's credit cards are in debit but your credit card can be in as much credit as you want it to be so putting money in your credit card is quite a good way to go but most often is the post office. Okay any other questions? No? I gave the instructions to a friend he came back to me with this theory that if I go on with $500 and I go up to say committee member then I put my sister on but I pay for it and I've got my brother on and I pay for it I get pushed through to president and then I tell my sister and my brother to sell their seats they get the $500 back I never recruited. Well you did recruit because you gave $500 to somebody. But I still didn't get that $500 back. Well yeah okay. You might do that once perhaps people will want to move in a bit and perhaps that rain will have a bit of an effect on the audio but in that case scenario is that the people on a particular game will probably take it past if the brother and the sister are not recruited you know so but if the position is sold and keep in mind that you've got a seller and it's probably you that's got a seller. Yeah. It's probably the way that you see people doing that. It doesn't happen very often. Yeah. Okay because we are videoing this and the heavens have opened we obviously have to speak up a bit. I think we're just about done anyway unless anybody's got any further questions. Do we have, there's one here. The most you need to do is get your brother to tell everybody. Yeah. They have to get two. They have to get two. Yeah. That's it now what I want to say is though a lot of people have been saying that they have to get two recruits but they have really not been fair dinkum by doing that because if you've got to put recruits on the game you need to explain to them that they in turn need to get two recruits. So don't just go and plonk somebody on the game for the sake of the game. You've got to make it clear to them that they've got to get two recruits. So don't just go and plonk somebody on the game for the sake of doing it because you'll just leave a mess behind you. Okay. I think we're going to have to wind it up mainly because of the, as far as the video side of it is concerned anyway. I'll be here for a little while to answer individual questions. If you want to speak to me, you can do that. Basically that's it folks and thank you all for coming off. Sorry about the conditions. Thank you. Okay.
