Now, those rumors suggested that the loser would be forced to retire. Well, since that time, we have found out that officially the Ultimate Warrior challenged the Macho King to a match in which he, the Warrior, would retire if he did not win. In turn, the Macho King, Randy Savage, has come back to state that if he couldn't beat the Ultimate Warrior, he too would retire. So that sets the scene for the big, bizarre clash in WrestleMania 7. Right now, let's hear from both men. Hmm, yeah, Ultimate Warrior, the big mistake, the big mistake of your career, yeah. You said no to the Macho King, and you shouldn't have done it, but you did it, and it's over with, and you gotta accept the consequences. Yeah, you do. I am the World Wrestling Federation looking down on you. You live in my shadow, yeah. You had a piece of the gold, you had a piece of the World Wrestling Federation history. You are a champion, but you are not a champion anymore. For one of you, indeed, it will be a career ending match. Only for you, Macho King, for I, as the Ultimate Warrior, have not taken so many steps in my destiny to walk into WrestleMania 7 and leave it all behind. Everyone rumble, Macho King. You came to take something away, but you left something behind that was much more valuable. Within my skull, you left a piece of your shattered kingdom, the pieces that you tried so desperately to put back together before that final step into WrestleMania 7. But within that piece of crystal, Macho King, lies all your past, lies your present, and lies your future. This is the first time that there's been no action going on in that ring! It was non-stop till now! Now they're both down! That's the Macho Man! He entered this ring! Over 20,000 people were standing on their feet, booing him! Now he lost the match! His career is over! He's got Elizabeth back! This is his farewell! This is it! We're running out of time! And he's in the squared singles! For the Macho Man! Finally lost the match! But he got something much more valuable! His woman! I'd rather have a match! Hands up to Elizabeth! Hands up to the Macho Man! Let's go back and relive the moment that went down in history only moments ago here! And the lovely Elizabeth found her man once again! And he, with open arms, accepted her one more time! And history was made here, as the largest pay-per-view audience in the history of pay-per-view looked on! Thank you very much, Lord Alfred Hayes. I concur one of the most tender and emotional moments I have ever eyewitnessed here in the World Wrestling Federation. Macho King Randy Savage, the apparent reunion between yourself and Miss Elizabeth. What about your career? Emotions, aye! Emotions, lo! Emotions everywhere in between! Am I supposed to feel good? Am I supposed to feel bad? Am I supposed to feel confused? A state of confusion! I am in! But I'll tell you one thing. The Ultimate Warrior, one, two, three, took the Macho King! And the King of the Madness is cracked in half! But at the same time, you know, girl, I'm thinking that, yeah! Elizabeth, yeah! Wild! Yeah! Wild happenings! And I'm thinking that everything up, down, in the middle, I feel mixed emotions. You know what I'm talking about, mixed emotions? I want to go in the ring and fight again! At the same time, I'm looking at Elizabeth, who couldn't be a winner right there. At the same time, I'm looking at her right there. It was wild, it was different, and it was awesome. All right, I'm certain we have not seen or heard the final chapter of the Macho Man, the Macho King, Randy Savage, and the Miss Elizabeth. It should be very interesting to see what happens down the pike. Down the pike! Does anybody know what's going to happen down the pike? Do you know what's going to happen down the pike? Meets in Oakland, do you know what's going to happen down the pike? I don't have a clue, Macho King. You don't have a clue. Macho King, the Kingdom of the Madness is cracked in half. We have to go on. Elizabeth, right there! Yes, you are. Ultimate Warrior, I'll tell you something. I faced the best. Yeah, in one, two, three, you took it, yeah. Meets in Oakland, I'm out of here, yeah! Thank you, Macho. As you know, and the rest of the world knows at this point, Macho Man Randy Savage on the losing end of a career match at WrestleMania VII against the Ultimate Warrior. That was two days ago. But he had previously signed a contract to be here in Las Vegas for this exclusive matchup for Coliseum Video. And President Jack Tully's office is going to allow this. So this is going to be the Macho Man Randy Savage's last encounter. That is why it's a piece of World Wrestling Federation history. I think that's a great gesture there by that man Randy Savage to fulfill this obligation. However, here's a chance for the model to really make his mark in the World Wrestling Federation. Being led out by Miss Elizabeth, no less. Now, this is a tremendous picture. And what an exclusive encounter. This is the one you pull out to show your friends to tell them you have the last match the Macho Man Randy Savage was involved in. And look at the Macho Man Randy Savage. This must be a very emotional encounter for him. Absolutely, a tremendous incentive here for the Macho Man to win this match. Lovely Elizabeth by his side. I'm getting a little choked up right now. Possibly even more of an incentive to the model to come through in this match and say that I beat the Macho Man Randy Savage. Well, Rick Martel always appears competitive. And I'm sure we can expect nothing less. He steps into the ring to win. It doesn't matter to him who he is going up against. And he's beaten them all in his time. On his day, he's been absolutely without fear in the world. Rick Martel right there, clear example. He's definitely here in Las Vegas to win. Kicking the stuffing out of the Macho Man. Hard into the corner. There have been some bad feelings between these two superstars, Lord Alfred Hayes. I think we knew the sparks were going to fly. Definitely the Macho Man is really on the receiving end of a lot of trouble there from the model Rick Martel. Big backdrop as Randy Savage turns it around. Both men collide in the center of the ring. Now the Macho Man up off the top rope. Takes flight. Double axe handle right between the shoulder blades. And in the first moments, the opening moments of this match, the model was going for a quick victory. But here the Macho Man shows how resilient he is by coming back at him. However, a very, very bad mess. And from the top rope onto the arena floor, Rick Martel, the last second. We didn't see a very good shot of it, but he brought the fist up. And drove it right into the midsection of the Macho Man. He is ailing at this point. Martel going quickly again to try and finish the Macho Man off. Drives a knee into the sternum as Miss Elizabeth comes to his aid. And I'm sure that is going to do a lot to get him back into the ring. I don't know whether she's doing the right thing or the wrong thing there by pushing him back into the ring. He might be going back in for more punishment. If I was Miss Elizabeth, I'd keep my nose out of it. Are you saying that she's not up to the task of being the manager here? Clipping out of the ring too long? Yes, I would say so. I would say at the moment that's a wrong move for her to make. Macho Man will and should decide for himself whether he's going to get back in and face a lot more punishment than the model. That decision is taken away from him there. At this point, Rick Martel really taking it to the Macho Man. Randy Savage comes in to get the count. Macho Man still down on the arena floor. He continues to talk Miss Elizabeth. Come on, come with me. Is he a real man? I think Macho Man's a real man too, don't you? I wouldn't argue with that. But if he does continue in this phase, this may give the Macho Man that little impetus that he needs to get back on his feet and protect the lovely Miss Elizabeth. Once again, Rick Martel's arrogance costs him. Macho Man from behind. And look at that look of determination on his face. Shoulder into the ring post. That's the model back in. But before the Macho Man can get back inside the squared circle, Rick Martel fires back. What a tremendous encounter this has been so far. Absolutely, Martel up to everything here that's expected of him. He's passed every test so far against the Macho Man, and the Macho Man might have been a little bad in his taste, a little wrong in his choice to go into this for a last match. I'm sure Randy Savage has no intention of losing a career back to the Ultimate Warrior. What a battle that was. It certainly was. Macho Man a trifle unfortunate to lose any time. Rolls up. Rick Martel, is this it? No. Martel looking so sharp, so very, very quick. Do you think that Macho Man is suffering a little, not physically, but mentally, psychologically from that defeat? Well, Your Lordship, I would like to think that he would even be more fired up for a battle like this, but then you're pacing the prospect of not stepping back into the ring, I'm sure it would have a lot to do with your performance. Yes, I would think so, definitely. No doubt about that at all. But I really have not detected any less intensity from the Macho Man than we're used to seeing. I just think he is facing a very, very tough opponent. A very accurate summation there, Sean. And that is exactly what is unfolding before our eyes, and before her eyes, too. Very worried look on the face of Miss Elizabeth. Randy Savage, two good shots to the midsection, but we can see he is still not 100%. I would imagine that Miss Elizabeth is regretting the fact that she pushed him back into the ring. Nice move. Flying across, misses with a blind body tackle. Randy Savage not about to let this chance escape him. Snap suplex. A quick cover here, hooks a leg. Martel kicks out. Both men have shown a tremendous amount of courage and skill in this match, and it has been conducted at an amazing burst of speed. And what energy these men possess. Good atomic drop there. As Martel goes over the second rope onto the floor, Randy Savage goes right after him. Sets him up here for a pile driver. Really trumps it in. That is a very thin mat covering that concrete floor. I'm surprised Martel is still conscious. Oh, my word, that's terrible. Holded him up like an accordion. Took a heavy, heavy blow outside the ring. Randy Savage once again on the top rope. Elbow right to the chest. Here's the cover. Is this it? Yes! And the Macho Man, Randy Savage, will lead this arena victorious in his last encounter. The Macho Man, Randy Savage! And that has got to be a sweet announcement. Not only the loveliness, Elizabeth, but for the Macho Man, Randy Savage, Lord Alfred Hayes, what a career this superstar has had. Well, Savage really crushed the model on the outside the ring with that tremendous pile driver, and that is 260 pounds going head first into the concrete floor. No wonder Macho Man won this bout. Even so, he finished off with a great flourish. He went to the top rope and leapt as high as I've ever seen him leap with an elbow drop, and the model had no recourse whatsoever. He was out, and he was down, and he was pinned. A great last-time career victory for the Macho Man. Back and forth, these two superstars went. I think there is no way we could have seen a better one-on-one encounter involving the Macho Man, Randy Savage, and the model, Rick Martel, as he leaves the ring for perhaps the last time. And a tremendous way to leave. Lovely one. Miss Elizabeth by his side. Lord Alfred Hayes saw a sign in the crowd and said, We'll miss you, Macho Man Randy Savage. That is certainly one true statement. A tremendous competitor, the Macho Man, Randy Savage. Legion of Victorious. What is it? 13 seconds at the minimum. Legion and Doom were in that ring. The referee couldn't control it. It's supposed to be a tag match. I don't consider that a loss. I don't consider that a victory for them. How do you like that? Whatever you say, Bobby. Because right now I'm interested in only one thing, and it's not you. I hope so. Ladies and gentlemen, here she is, the First Lady of the World Wrestling Federation, the lovely Elizabeth. Oh, my goodness. How are you? How are you doing today? We'll be back with a lovely Elizabeth when time, time, returns. We're back with more fine time. I'll take this side. And the lovely Elizabeth. Elizabeth, what we'd like to do is take you back down memory lane, so to speak, and show you some of the highlights of your career. And of course, those that involve you and the Macho Man, Randy Savage. Let's take you back now to footage and see what the first thing we'll see is Elizabeth being named the manager of the Macho Man, Randy Savage. Let's take you over now and pick up that bit of footage, after which we'll step right up along the line. Here we go. I distinctly see Bobby Heenan there behind the Macho Man. You really wanted to be his manager, didn't you? Yes, I did. The man has an enormous amount of talent. I mean, we could have made ourselves a lot of money. You got it right. And there she is. What a surprise. And then from there, we take you to the Boston Garden. Elizabeth on hand and witnessed this. Witnessed the Macho Man, Randy Savage, becoming Intercontinental Champion after unquestionably a bit of chicanery. But nonetheless, he was the champion that night, the Intercontinental Champion, and Elizabeth was at his side. And here we go. Intercontinental Champion and Elizabeth was at his side, as you were, when he became World Wrestling Federation Champion at WrestleMania and, of course, maybe with a little help of the Hulkster. Well, I don't know how much the Hulkster really helped. I think the credit all has to go to you, Elizabeth. I see. And Summer Slam, of course, the forming of the Mega Powers. And things looked beautiful there in Madison Square Garden in more ways than one. Yes, it was something. The Macho Man and the Hulkster together, forming the Mega Powers. So did you have to decide who you went to hug first, or did it matter? Oh, wait just a minute. At the Survivor Series, though, there appeared to be a little bit of jealousy developing on the part of the Macho Man. A little dissension among the rights. But he's not really a jealous guy, is he? Well, I think we'll let the footage... What? He's not possessive? He's not jealous? Haku's not jealous of me. Royal Rumble. It was every man for himself. And there, tempers began to boil. Every man for himself. The Hulkster dumped a number of men over the top rope. Among them was the Macho Man. But in just a moment, you'll see Elizabeth stepping into the ring where many stated, well, perhaps she should not have been. Stepping between these two when they were just about ready to unload on each other. Elizabeth literally, between the two, trying to maintain the peace between the then irate Macho Man and the Hulkster. Wait, he hopes to show off. Oh, really? Yeah, he dumped everybody out because he wanted to win it. There was no team effort on his part. And then finally, Elizabeth bringing the Hulkster and the Macho Man together. And hopefully, everything was going to be all right. No easy task. There you go. And again, Elizabeth, the glue that bonded the Mega Powers. And of course, that. The main event in 89. And after that, you lay on the floor, and the Hulkster was the man who took you back to the dressing room. You know why? It was easier carting Elizabeth back to the dressing room, the same in the ring, getting a tail kick. Uh-huh. I guess we'll never really know, nonetheless, unloading on Hulk Hogan a Macho Man. For a belt, I would beat you in one, two, three. That would be okay. Try and talk some sense into this guy, man. Try and talk some sense into it. I don't want to talk! I don't want to talk! I don't want to talk! And from there, in a neutral corner, Elizabeth had to witness really the ripping apart of the Mega Power, until finally there was only one man standing as World Wrestling Federation Champion, the Hulkster. I got me a miniature. It is unbelievably sensational. Can you hear me? Yes! Sensational Sherry! And then from there, the final act, the Macho Man named me, of course, his new manager, Sensational Sherry. And through all of that, Elizabeth, it seems as though you stood right at the side of the Macho Man when perhaps he really didn't even appreciate you or maybe didn't even know that you were standing there. All the way through it. Why? Well, even through all of that, one thing has been constant. It just seems to me, even at WrestleMania, when you bought a ticket, you were there. You witnessed Randy Savage go down. His career was over. And apparently, Sensational Sherry thought hers was over as well. She brutalized him. You came out of your seat, over the guard rail, ran to the ring, rinsed Sherry off of the Macho Man. And then from there, the Macho Man was so confused at the whole thing, he almost hit you, not realizing that you were the one that had helped him all along. Then from there, he finally realized, I'd guess more than anything, any other time in his life, what he really had going for him. And why have you stood by him, behind him, all the way through this? Well, no matter what, whether times have been good or bad, or whether I was on the inside or watching from the outside, or whether I was happy or sad, one thing's always been true. I just love that man. Alright, the lovely Elizabeth, the First Lady of the World Wrestling Federation. Thank you very much for joining us. See you later. So you're getting all set, bruised up and all that sort of stuff. Oh, you're really jealous. You can't take it, knowing that I'm going to be having dinner with Elizabeth, can you?
