By the way, today's featured song is What a Feeling, off the soundtrack album from the movie Flashdance. Now let's bring our arms up. Ribcage isolation to the right, and to the left. That's it! I want to see you feeling it, just like the music says! That's it! Let it rock! Bend those knees over the toes. Boy, that feels good! Boy, how many of you are playing on Little Needs Baseball this summer? How many of you guys? All of you? Well, that's great! Did you know that most professional baseball teams do aerobics in spring training to improve their coordination and endurance? Did you know that? Well, now you do! Come on! Okay, you guys ready? Alright, let's play ball! Are you ready? Jumping jack, the team is warming up on the field. That's it! Make sure to breathe! Now add the arms. Ready? And... That's it! Get them up there! Very good! Batter up! Step into the batter box. Are you ready? And now let's take that bat in hand and scuff that foot up. Pick it up! Come on! We're in the batter box! We're getting ready! That's it! Get that bat off that shoulder! Pick those feet up! While the outfield is getting very anxious to get the first out, let's bend those knees! They're real anxious, guys, to get us out, but they're not going to, are they? No, I don't think so! Bend those knees! Make sure to breathe! The man on the deck is stretching out! Are you ready? Take that bat, bend those knees, and in a circle, take it all the way around. He's stretching out and getting ready to get up and get a home run. At least that's what he thinks, huh? Okay! Now the batter's going to get a hit. Let's put him up, and boom! Again! Boom! He gets a hit! I think so! Did he get it? Yes! Let's run to Pippen! Come on! Run it out! That's it! Make sure those heels go all the way down! Very good! Make sure to breathe! Okay, now the next batter is knocking dirt off of his sleep. You ready? So he can run faster! Use that bat and get that dirt off of those sleeves. That's it! Uh-oh! You know what, now, exercisers? The man on deck is teasing the pitcher! Oh, no! He's stepping on and off the base! Don't let him! See, umpire, what did he say? He said he's safe! Yeah! Boy, that's good! See what happens when you tease, huh? That's it! Uh-oh, you guys! He's got a bunch of balls. Three balls, two strikes, and the batter swings, and he starts to run! Let's go! Shoot! Was he safe? Was he safe? Huh? Look, it's a home run! Let's go! Run around those bases! Come on! Get up there! I don't want the umpire to get me out! Come on! Boom! That feels so good! Huh? They've bloated, too! That's just super! Very good! Phew! All right! Yeah, give me five! Give everybody five around you! Come on, that's it! Phew, all right! Give us a five, Phillip! Oh, boy, next we're going to be setting up our mouser-sized mats to do some floor exercises. And if you haven't got a mouser-sized mat at home, don't worry. A towel will do just fine. And while we're doing that, here's the owner of the Mickey Mouse Health Club, just to say a few words to you himself. Take it away, Mickey! Now, here's something to keep in mind. Take a look at this interesting feature, especially from me to you. Do you know? Do you know some ways to protect your home against fire? Well, it's a good idea to install fire and smoke detectors, because early warning is the key to getting out safely. Keep chair and rope ladders on upper floors for easy escape, and watch out for rubbish accumulation, and be careful of the way you store flammable material. Check electrical cords for wear and loose connections, and always be careful around open flames. These are just a few of the safety tips to protect your home against fire. And now you know. Is everybody ready? Yeah! Well, wonderful! Now, remember to take off your shoes just like we have. You can point your toes and stretch out your feet really good. And if you don't have a mousetrap mat at home, a nice big towel will do. Okay? Come along with us and work out our legs. What we're going to do is we're going to get on all fours, making sure that all of our weight is on our hands, and it's pressed out in front of you rather than in. We're going to lift that left leg very slowly, and down. Keep it up, and down. That's it. Make sure that that back is straight tabletop. Again, that's it. Make sure that knee is straight out to the side. Very good. Again, how do you guys feel? Great! Good. I know I feel super this morning. Make sure that all of your weight is on your hands and don't lean down here. Butt straight. Good girl. That's a nice correction. And... Eight. Seven. Six. Hold on. Five. Four. You can do it. Three. Only two more. Two. And one. Very good. You want to stretch it out just for a moment real quick? Okay. Stretch it out and attach it, right? Make sure that you stretch it all out, and get right back up there again with the right leg. Make sure all your weight is on your hands. And lift it up. And the other side is, you know, if you do get tired, that's okay to stop and join us when you want to. That's it. Make sure your arms are real straight. That's it. Very good. Tabletop back. Good girl, Nicole. Very good. And eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Only three more. Three. Only two more. And one. Oh, okay. Stretch it out again, Mousercisers. That's right. Get right back up there again and extend that left leg out behind us, making sure that it is not up here, but it's level with your bottom. That's it. And small little pulses. Point that toe. Very good. Making sure again that it's level with your bottom. Bring your leg down. Fill up. Extend your legs straight up behind your bottom, sweetheart. Straight out. And I'm going to make some corrections so keep going, Mousercisers. Again. That's it. Make sure that all of your weight is even. Like this. That's it. Bend that leg out there. Small little pulses up. Spin those elbows. There you go. Very good, Mousercisers. That looks super. And eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Good boy, Phillip. Two and one. Now what we're going to do is bring your knees in and the head goes in and out. Again. In and out. In. Lift the leg. Don't throw it up. Just lift it. That's it. And eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. And one. I bet you want to stretch it out, don't you? Get right back up there again. Come on. Right leg. Small little pulses. And eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. And one. Now again. Out. In. Out. Making sure it lifts. Five. Four. Three. Two. And one. Whew! Now you can relax. Okay, let's get ready for cool down. You know, the cool down is the same every day. So you can use it after you play your favorite sports or before. And extend it all the way up to the sky. That's it. You know, it's very, very important that you have a number like the cool down just to relax to. After your heavy duty exercising, right? Philip, extend your legs out in front of you. There you go. Good boy. Now let's go over. And then that left knee. Hold it. Four. Three. Two. And one. Now right. Four. Three. Two. One. And come on up. Holding up. And the back very straight. And open up in the second position. Making sure that your feet are pressed all the way up to the sky. Going over to the left side. Holding four. Three. Two. And one. And over to the right. Did you know that your hamstrings are the largest part of muscle on your body? And that also affects your feet. And that also varies in sizes of different individuals. That's it. Go over to the right side. Hold. That's it. Now exercise is now walk out in front of you four. Tabletop. Making sure again that it's not important how far you get, but that your back is straight. Very good. Now walk it back in. And bring those legs together. Bounce them all out. And roll down onto the back, bringing the right knee up to your chest. As you extend it over to the left side, make sure, Master Sergeant, that right shoulder stays on the floor. Extend it up to the sky. And as you bring down the right, just do it with the left. Making sure again that when you bring it over to the right side, that that left shoulder stays on the floor. That's it. And extend it up to the sky. Again, let's do it two more times. Making sure that the right shoulder stays on the floor using your left hand to guide your right knee. And extend it up to the sky. Now with the left, using your right hand to guide the knee. That's it. And extend it up to the sky. Now bring both knees up to your chest. And as you come up, Master Sergeant, keep your head down. We're going to stretch out our hamstrings. Stand up. That's it. You're comfortable down there, didn't you? Okay, now let's walk it out and stretch out those hindons. Stretch them out very carefully. That's it. Now let's walk it right back in again. Roll up, making sure again the head is last to come up. And let's do some shoulder rolls to the right. That's it. Now forward to the left. Very good, Master Sergeant. The head rolls to the right. Letting you relax. And to the left. And now breathe. And shh. Very nice. So you guys want to hear an interesting story? Yeah! Well good. You know, people are always interested in the lives of celebrities. Let's take a look in at a famous mouse. And here's our hero after a hard day's work. Mickey likes to relax in his favorite easy chair and read the evening paper. Well, visitors all ready. It seems Mickey has forgotten his date with Minnie. But Minnie is even more upset by the condition of this room. It's a real fire hazard. Piles of paper, rags, and rubbish are always a prime candidate for starting fires. Especially when stored with flammable liquids like gasoline. Now this is dangerous because it blocks a perfectly good fire exit. While Mickey was trying to light the fireplace, he could have lit the whole house on fire. This smoke alarm won't do much good if you don't put it up or put the batteries in it. Well, it looks like Mickey won't be seeing much of Minnie until he gets his act together. So, what do you guys think of the story so far? It's great. Do you guys know any good ideas or good tips on how to help with fire prevention? Do you know? Phillip? When you leave the house, don't keep the oveners, the stove on. Very good. How about you, Nicole? When people smoke, not to make sure they put out their cigarettes. Right, put them out before they leave the house, right? Very good. You know, you can be a junior fire marshal around your own house. When it comes to fire prevention, everybody should pitch in. Let's go back to the story and see how Mickey's doing, alright? Well, Mickey seems to have gotten the message. He's cleaned up the clutter and cleared out the carton. The smoke alarm is hanging on the wall with fresh batteries in it. Mickey seems to have taken care of everything. Except for one thing. He still forgot his date with Minnie. So, do you all feel great? Yeah! Well, that's just one of the benefits of mousercising. You know, we hope that by having fun with mousercise, it will encourage you to continue to make exercise a part of your regular daily routine. And you don't have to be a kid to enjoy mousercising. We like to think of mousercise as a real family experience. So get up and join in. And until next time, from me, Steve, Mickey and the whole gang here at Mickey Mouse Health Club, keep on... He always did the right thing! Yeah! You can jump, you can shake it, anything you make it, whatever you feel is right. Come on everybody, mousercise, Mickey mousercise. Whatever you feel is right Come on everybody and mouth to size Make it mouth to size Do do do do do do do do do do do do You've been mouth to size!
