Thanks, Wilsey. Well, there was a time when theatrical megastars would slip into town, hide in their hotel rooms, and only venture out at night to perform. Well, perhaps it's the recession, but Melbourne's latest comedy exports today took their rehearsal to Rundle Mall to try and sell the show to Christmas shoppers. Shoppers were stopped dead in their tracks today by these crazy Melbourne comedians, and it wasn't always because they were funny, rather just plain embarrassing. Hey, hey, get away from there. It's very dangerous, very dangerous, very dangerous. Get back in there, man. Get back in there and tie those things up over you, okay? Few escaped their antics. Big hand for Grandma! Yeah! Yeah! My Grandma is a body-duddy. The pair claim to be big in Melbourne and are here for the rest of the week at the Lyon Theatre. In fact, we had our opening night last night. I don't know if you heard about the response we got. The crowd did actually lift us onto their shoulders and carry us around the streets of Adelaide singing praise for about four or five hours. And then they broke into carols and we went around and did some witnessing and collected some money for the Salvos. Witnessing is sort of when you tell people how much God loves you. Oh right, I thought it might mean you saw some car accidents or something. Helen McCabe, 7 Nightly News. Funny I missed them, did you see?
