Thanks. Oh, he's gone for all money. Oh, he's gone and dropped him. Oh, oh, there she goes. Well, welcome to Nines Wide World of Sports for our highlights coverage of day four of the tour match between the Australian 11 and the West Indies down here at Belle Reve. Had three very good days of cricket so far. Day four should be a real exciting finish. The big news of the day though was the announcement of the Australian 12 for the first test match to start at the Gabba next Friday. And that's the Australian team. A couple of surprises. Mark Taylor, the captain, no surprise there. Matthew Elliott though moves into the opening position and quite deservedly earned his place in this side with a wonderful innings down here at Belle Reve. 158 he scored and that caught the eye of the selectors as did the century. He scored against New South Wales last week, 189 in that match and he gets his position in the side. Ricky Ponting is in our batting lineup there at number three. Now there's no Michael Slater in the side. That'll be disappointment for Michael Slater. So we'll have two left handed openers in the Australian team for that first test match. Ponting at number three, Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh. Michael Bevan holds his place at number six. Ian Healy, the wicket keeper. Shane Warren, all rifle. Jason Gillespie comes into the 12 with Glenn McGrath. There is some problems with McGrath and a heel injury, an infection in his heel which he'll have to do a fitness test on the morning of the test match. And then the name of Michael Kasperwich into the Australian 12 for the first time for quite a while. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Kasperwich actually in the starting lineup. It's at the Gabba. It's on his home ground. He's a swing bowler at the moment. Hot conditions prevailing in Brisbane. There should be a lot of humidity around next week as well. And he is a genuine out swing bowler. So that's the test team for the first test. And I guess the selectors would be hoping it'll stay that way for the remainder of the series with a good performance in Brisbane. And the situation in the tour match between the Australian 11 and the West Indies. We've had three very, very good days of cricket. Australian 11 have dominated proceedings after making five, four for 544. Double century to Matthew Hayden and 158 to Matthew Elliott. West Indies in reply got out of jail somewhat towards the end. 317 Courtney Brown, the wicket keeper for the West Indies, made a very good 93 not out. And for the Australians, Bickel got four wickets as did Anthony Stewart, who were both very impressive with the ball. In the second innings, West Indies were forced to follow on and presently are two for 102. Shivarajan Chandapal is on 42 not out. Ian Bishop is on one not out.
