Blue Talks in

Blue talked for the first time ever last week in “Blue Talks in the Legend of the Blue Puppy!”

…and kids listened! Initial ratings in Nick Jr. have been strong (Monday, 2/9, airing received a very successful 9.42 rating among Kids 2-5). We will be closely monitoring ratings for new Blue’s Room episodes and will communicate further results shortly…

Blue’s Room Programming
All new Blue’s Clues episodes in 2004 will feature Blue’s Room segments. New episodes will air every Monday in Nick Jr. and repeat Wednesdays on Nick Jr. and weekends on CBS.

Look for a full-length Blue’s Room TV special on August 16 and all new Blue’s Room-themed consumer products this Fall including Fisher-Price’s feature doll, “Sing and Boogie Blue.” Products will be supported by:

  • On-air and on-pack sweepstakes (2MM licensed products)
  • “Blue’s Room” VHS/DVD; print advt (Aug 24)

All Grown Up is Nick’s Newest Hit!

All Grown Up premiered on Nickelodeon November 29th and became the highest-rated TV series premiere on Nick ever with huge ratings among both boys and girls!

And the ratings keep getting better – it’s now the #3 show on Kids TV among Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11!

All Grown Up will have its first primetime tentpole event August 28th supported by the following:

  • On-air sweepstakes
  • QSR and packaged goods sponsors
  • Content in Nick Magazine and on Nick.com

"The Fairly OddParents Big SuperHero Wish”

The very first The Fairly OddParents tentpole event, “The Fairly OddParents Big Superhero Wish,” aired on February 16th at 8pm -- and earned the highest ratings for The Fairly OddParents AND its biggest audience EVER!

  • 11.67 among Kids 6-11
  • 10.20 among Kids 2-11
  • 9.0 among Tweens 9-14
  • 5 MM viewers

Additionally, the response to the on-air/on-pack sweepstakes was extremely high with the number of call attempts to the 800# well above the normal promotion!

This event was supported by major marketing initiatives including:

  • On-air and on-pack sweepstakes
  • Kraft multi-brand promotion on 35 MM packages

Big Ratings for “Plankton’s Revenge” TV Special!

Proving that kids still can’t get enough SpongeBob SquarePants, the new SpongeBob special, “Plankton’s Revenge,” that aired on Monday, 1/19/04, (Martin Luther King’s Day) at 8pm was extremely successful becoming the 7th highest rated SpongeBob EVER among Kids 2-11!

Highlights include:

  • Huge ratings across all kid demos generating 11.50 rating among Kids 2-11

Dora “Fairytale” Products and TV Special

This Fall, Nick Consumer Products will launch a whole new line of consumer products themed to “Dora’s Fairytale Adventure” supported with TV, print and online advertising.

Products include activity, apparel, accessories, gift, home furnishings, home video (Paramount VHS/DVD supported by TV and print advertising), interactive, packaged goods, publishing, social expression and toys (Fisher-Price feature doll supported by TV advertising).

These consumer products will link up to a special double episode this October, “Dora’s Fairytale,” where Dora and Boots enter a whole new world -- Fairytale Land.
