We're delighted to tell you that we're going to be on three nights a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. And we'll be joined from time to time by other NBC news anchors beginning tonight with Katie Couric, who has an incredible interview. In recent months, you've certainly read or heard things said by people who claim they know O.J. Simpson. You're about to meet two people who know him better than almost anyone, two family members who haven't told their stories until tonight. They are O.J.'s older children, his daughter Arnelle, 25, his son Jason, 24. For the first time, they talk publicly about the man behind the headlines, the man they know, about the woman they say he loved. Because of the upcoming trial, they couldn't discuss some things about the case. But the picture they do paint is quite different from anything you've heard before. You can hear the sirens in the background. Few people will forget the image of a young man running towards his father, a very desperate, very public expression of love. This is a very, very critical time. That moment last June when Jason Simpson sprinted to the now-famous White Bronco. With tens of millions of people watching, he began screaming and gesturing wildly, trying to stop his father, O.J. Simpson, from firing the revolver pointed at his head. Arnelle Simpson is Jason's older sister. I started to cry, and I handed the phone over to the detective. She's already testified about her dealings with police at her father's mansion. The morning after her stepmother, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, were discovered stabbed to death. These days, Arnelle and Jason Simpson are regular visitors to the L.A. jail. They have kept their anguish and concern a private matter until now. In an interview yesterday in Los Angeles, they talked about Nicole's death, their father's life, and how their world has changed in the last three months. Why did you want to talk to me today? We think, the family thinks, that it was just time to just set some things straight, to let some people know how we are and how my father is. You know, it's hard to talk about somebody that you love that's in a situation like this. How often do you see or talk to your father now? As much as we can. Try to get down there every day, if we don't get down there every day, meaning where he is.
