Life is like a roller coaster. You turn up for your ride and figure you can handle it with a fair amount of pride.
You pay your fare and take your seat and things begin to move.
You feel like you're on top of things. There's nothing you can't prove.
But then life takes a little turn and as you move along your plans are rearranged a bit.
You feel as though something's wrong. Then you find out that it's true that life is never straight.
Or smooth or neat or slow. It moves at an awful rate.
You wonder what you're supposed to do when life is out to get you.
Is there any hope at all so problems don't beset you?
Then in the middle of it all the voice of God speaks out. It's always quiet and calm and still.
You can't hear it if you shout. God says don't be anxious. Your life is in my hands.
Put your faith in Jesus Christ and not in your own plans.
Things don't always change a lot. Life's a challenge all the way through.
You find God doesn't change his circumstance but he certainly changes you.
