This is Crime Television, your local station. Get ready for the game of skill and strategies. Two top teams fight it out for School of the Week on Blockbusters. And now the host of Blockbusters, Michael Holt. G'day everyone. Hello to you. Welcome to Blockbusters. Doesn't time fly? On this day in 1987, five years ago was the stock market crash. Who would have thought it was so recent? If you don't know about the stock market crash, it happened in Falls Creek. A runaway snowmobile got out of control and ran through a secondhand ski equipment shop. Stock market crash. OK, we have two schools with us. Rosewood and Rochedale will follow all week. Gary, will you tell us please a bit about our two schools? Rochedale State School officially opened in April 1931 with 27 students. Today's population number is over 500 and they enjoy a well-balanced curriculum that includes Chinese and French as their languages other than English and a supportive learning assistance program. Rosewood Primary was opened in 1875 and the initial small enrolment has grown to today's figure of 321. Recent competitors in the tournament of mines, the school has also had success with its cricket, soccer, softball and netball teams. And they are the schools that we will follow this week as we keep giving five points for every correct answer. The scores keep getting higher until Friday we have a new winner. Now let's find out who the winners are playing today. They are our teams for Rosewood, Gregory and Amanda. Welcome to the show both of you. Hi Greg, how are you? Alright. That's good. Greg, what would you like to have as a magic ability if you could? To know everything in the world. Absolutely everything in the world? Yep. What would the advantage be in knowing that? I could help people like with their economy and start civil wars. Yeah? Would it mean though that you no longer wanted to sort of seek knowledge because you already had it? Yeah, but I could just, I'd become famous because I'd know everything.
