And a very good afternoon to you. Welcome to our Sunday Movie Special. Today two delightful movies. Oh, it's a movie lover's dream come true. The Court Jester with Danny Kane, a wonderful cast, followed by that gorgeous comedy with music, Teeth or Two with Doris Day and Gordon McCrae. What a pleasure that one is. Now we have an extra added attraction today. Do you see the poster behind me as I speak? It's the poster for The Land Before Time, one of the most successful animated films ever released on Australia. That was last year. And it's being released on videocassette next month. In conjunction with the release of The Land Before Time on videocassette, Carly Chappell from CIC Taft Video has very kindly given me some exciting things to give away. I think you can tell by the stills what a delightful film this is. It's about dinosaurs and prehistoric monsters and it's charming with a beautiful musical score by James Horner. I love it. I'm sure you will too. I'm sure some of you have seen it and look forward to seeing it again. Well, we've got five winners packs, including, people say that it's the best film that Danny Kane ever made. It's one of his funniest. It's got great songs by Sammy Khan and Danny Kane's wife Sylvia Fine, married for many, many years. And here are some of the people involved in the movie. First of all, Danny Kane himself. A film here that gets him to put on a great show of his agility, his singing ability, his dancing a lot. And he's seen in this shot with one of my favorite English players, Cecil Parker. He is magnificent. Now in this scene, you can't see him on the screen at the moment, but I'd like to point out somebody to you. So let's take a look at another shot, which shows Cecil Parker and the person standing behind him. Now the man you see now is Basil Rathbone. Now Basil Rathbone was in his early sixties when he made his film and he taught Danny Kane. Well, let's have a look at a picture where it shows the two of them together. He taught Danny Kane some of the basics of swordsmanship. You may of course know that Basil Rathbone was the number one swordsman in movies. Well, he taught Danny Kane and said he was a brilliant and most apt pupil. Here are some other people in the cast of the court jester. The lady curtseying there is Glynis Johns. She is absolutely gorgeous in this film. I like her very much right from the start of the picture. And in our next shot from the court jester, you can see as Princess Gwendolyn, the one and only Angela Lansbury. Now here's a special treat for those of you who like to look for stars. A Mildred Natchwick is magnificent. She has a good part in this film and there are three Australians at least in the film. Edward Ashley is the black fox. Michael Pate being a marvelous villain again. Good on you Michael. And thirdly, John O'Malley, who played the father in Charles Chevelle's Sons of Matthew. I hope you enjoy the court jester. And here is your first question for the afternoon. I'll give you the address at the end of court jester where you send your entries. Where would you find the pellet of poison? Where would you find it? Watch your spelling. And now the court jester.
