Senior police are investigating unethical behaviour involving a group of police trainees and their four instructors. The investigation follows an incident at the Echunga Police Reserve two weeks ago. About 30 male and female trainees were present, but not all were involved. Deputy Commissioner Neil McKenzie won't say what happened, but the incident was alcohol related. Mr McKenzie says the internal investigations branch learnt of the behaviour after the trainees graduated last week. A Melbourne judge who jailed an HIV positive man for endangering the lives of three men by having unprotected sex says the sentence should send a clear message to the community. The man was sentenced to eight years jail and will be eligible for parole in five years. The 52-year-old father of four at no time told the men of his HIV status. Two of the three men are now HIV positive. In cricket, Australia has fought back strongly against India in the first test in Chennai.
