Good evening, Michael Smith with an ABC News break. The Weather Bureau says we've seen the worst of the wild weather for now. Hundreds of people headed for the Adelaide Hills today to enjoy the snow. It was below zero at Mount Lofty at lunchtime. Snow was also reported as far north as the Flinders Ranges. Elsewhere around town, crews were once again dealing with fallen trees and power lines. Federal Cabinet has finalised the tax package. Treasurer Peter Costello promising something which is very positive. The Prime Minister will now brief all members of the Government before making the tax reform plans public. The timing of that is still being kept under wraps. And the Olympic movement is in uproar tonight over comments by IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch. Mr Samaranch told a Spanish newspaper there should be an easing of bans on some performance enhancing drugs. The Olympic Chief has since said the fight against doping must continue. Meanwhile, the IOC's Medical Commission has been asked to review the list of banned substances prior to a conference on the issue in January. Now to the weather, the wind and showers easing tomorrow. Most centres in the north heading for 13. In the south, 12 for Wrenmark and Murray Bridge, 11 at Mount Gambier. And for Adelaide, the conditions easing atop of 13 after dropping to 6 tonight.
