Spears' manager says the apparently troubled singer has voluntarily checked into an undisclosed facility.
He did not specify what if any substance the singer was battling.
Spears reportedly caved into demands from family and friends who were concerned over the star's public behavior.
K-Fed is reportedly keeping a close eye on the Spears situation.
People Magazine reports Kevin Federline canceled plans in Vegas over the weekend to stay in Los Angeles in case he was needed to look after the couple's two sons.
