Welcome to the broadcast tonight, a consideration of the re-election of Speaker Gingrich. I did what I felt was right. I believe that this Speaker has done a good job. I believe that his violations are not serious, and I believe it would have been a travesty not to have re-elected him. You'd have to call me skeptical. When Newt's in the national eye and giving a national speech, he tends to give a very good speech, a speech I could agree with good portions of, very high-minded, very non-partisan, very much let's move us together. But his day-to-day actions in the last two years, even though he had given two or three speeches like this, were not at all like that. Will, perhaps, the good that could come out of this ethics situation is maybe he's truly changed. He is not the person to be leading this party. I actually felt that a little bit earlier after.
