She appeared on the magazine's year-end charts a total of 19 times, six times in the number two position, five times as number one, and all by herself as the most promising singles female vocalist. Ladies and gentlemen, singing for her current release, How Will I Know, Whitney Houston. He's the one I dream of, uh-huh. Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above, uh-huh. Oh, I lose control, I can't seem to get enough, no, no. When I wake from dreaming, tell me is it really love, really love? How will I know? Trust your feelings. How will I know? How will I know? If you're being deceiving. How will I know? How will I know if he really loves me? I say a prayer with every, I fall in love whenever we meet. I'm asking you, because you know about these things they do. How will I know? If he's thinking of me, of me, I try to fall, I'm up to the shine. Can't speak, falling in love is so bitter sweet. And love is strong, oh, I do not feel weak, oh, wait for me, I'm shaking. Wish I had you near me now, uh-huh. Said it now, no mistaking, what I feel is real love, real love. How will I know? Trust your feelings. How will I know? How will I know? What you think you see there? How will I know? How will I know if he really loves me? I say a prayer with every, I fall in love whenever we meet. I'm asking you, because you know about these things they do. How will I know? If he's thinking of me, of me, I try to fall, I'm up to the shine. Can't speak, falling in love is so bitter sweet. And love is strong, oh, I do not feel weak, oh, wait for me, I'm shaking. Say you love me, and don't you love me, oh, why don't you love me? Say you love me, I know you do, boy. I heard you love me, say you love me, I know you want me. Why don't you love me, say you love me, I know you do. I heard you love me, say you love me, I know you want me. Oh, oh, how will I know? How will I know? Hey, how will I know? If he really loves me, loves me, Lord, with every, I fall in love. When I'm with me, I'm asking you, because you know about these things they do. How will I know? If he's thinking of me, I try to fall, I'm up to the shine. If he's falling in love, it's so fierce me. Oh, why do I feel weak? How will I know? How will I know? How will I know? How will I know? Tonight we're trying an interesting experiment. In some of the awards, like this one, for Favorite Soul R&B Single, we're teaming up a presenter in London with a presenter here. And as an extra twist right now, we have a British star here in LA and two American stars in London. Ladies and gentlemen, here is Sheena Easton with me, and in England, Starships Grace Slick and Mickey Thomas. Hi, Grace and Mickey. Well, it's very interesting. We've swapped countries, huh? I've got the envelope, so why don't you start and I'll finish it off. Well, we'd just like to say hello to all of our friends in America. A special hello tonight to Kirky, who couldn't be here with us, but I'm thinking that perhaps maybe we might cross paths somewhere in the course of this satellite transmission. Yeah. Hi, Kirky. My mommy and daddy, Clive, you're the best, and thank you up there. God bless you. Tonight's show is a great celebration, and this next group should know about celebrations because they wrote the song. They've got plenty to celebrate because since they began in 1969, they've had 16 top 40 records, and since 1980 alone, they've had five consecutive gold albums. Wow! Rock artists were trying to contribute to society by singing their own songs. I think the fact that they achieved great results was also a feature of 1985. It was a very special year for them. The American Music Awards was very well received, and they were awarded the appreciation award. The appreciation award is a way to show appreciation. Yes, it's a way to show appreciation to the people who are the center of the award. In the next segment, one of the winners, Willie Nelson, will be on the stage. The award was awarded to Willie Nelson for his performance of the song, which was a song that was presented as a fan-made. Unfortunately, Willie Nelson was unable to attend the award ceremony due to his illness. His friends, Waylon Jennings and Chris Christopherson, received the award from Two in Arizona for the show. Before that, let's first watch the performance of Tears for Fears, which was presented as a fan-made song. Welcome to your life There's no turning back Even while we sleep We will find you acting on your best behavior Turn your back on Mother Nature Everybody wants to move a word It's my own design It's my own reward Help me to decide Help me make the most out of breathing and imagination Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to move a word There's a room where I won't mind you 40 hands while the walls come down without When they do, I'll be right behind you So glad we've almost made it So sad they had to make it Everybody wants to move a word I can't stand this indecision And we will elect our vision We'll be the best we can be We'll be the best we can be We'll be the best we can be We'll be the best we can be We'll be the best we can be We'll be the best we can be If we're running, wants to move Say that you'll never, never, never, never believe it Why, hey, why, why, why, why, why Believe it if we're running, wants to move Oh, for freedom and adventure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to move a word I'm your one This was the year that the world discovered the music business And the music business discovered the world and tried to make it a better place to live for everybody. The year began with Bob Geldof getting together a group of British stars called Bande. The proceeds from their recording went to relieve hunger in Africa. That led to the formation of USA for Africa and the all-star recording and video We Are the World, which was followed by the Children of the World version of the same song. The idea caught on in Canada and a group of the country stars recorded Tears are Not Enough. Hermanos, which means brothers and sisters brought together Latin stars singing for the South American relief. Then in July, the historic Live A concert from London and Philadelphia seen by billions of people around the world and growing out of Bob Dylan's live aid remark, Willie Nelson organized the Farm Aid concert to help the American farmer. Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder recorded That's What Friends Are For to Benefit the Victims of AIDS. And finally Steve Van Zandt and Arthur Baker put together the powerful Sun City album to protest apartheid in South Africa. The show tonight thought that an outpouring of concern should be recognized. Tonight three American Music Award of Appreciations will be given in recognition to three individuals who through universal language of music have improved the human condition. For our first annual award of appreciation, we go live by satellite to Tucson, Arizona and John Schneider. Thank you, Diana. I'm thrilled to be participating in the presentation of this award this evening because it goes to a man who I've been a big, big fan of for a long, long time. You know, I've always wanted to be a country singer and what more can I say than my hero has always been Willie Nelson. This is Willie singing at the live aid farm concert. The live aid farm concert, the farm aid concert. But how did farm aid come about? I can't wait to get on the road again. I can't wait to get on the road again. I just can't wait to get on the road again. A life I love is making music with my friends. And I can't wait to get on the road again. It's like I said, I hope that some of the money, maybe they could just take a little bit of it, maybe one or two million maybe, and use it say to pay the mortgages on some of the farms that the farmers here owe to the banks. It's not a bad thing to have a good idea. It's even a better thing to take a good idea and do something about it. That's just what you did, Willie. You took time out from a busy career. You put in a lot of energy and money. You asked a lot of friends to help out and they did. You made farm aid a reality. For this, the music business thanks you. I thank you. The American farmer thanks you. You deserve this award, Willie. Congratulations. Willie Nelson's the patron saint of all serious and misunderstood songwriters. His life and his art are unconventional and his appeal cuts across all the boundaries, social and musical. So he's a perfect, perfect guy to get a bunch of rock and rollers and country musicians together in a good cause. We will see us here on this award for his ongoing concern for the plight of the American farmer and his activities in publicizing and organizing the farm aid concert, a vote of confidence in our fellow countrymen. The American Music Award of Appreciation is presented to Willie Nelson, January 27th, 1986. And we're accepting this from you and the only problem that you got is giving it back. Some artists make successful comebacks and some artists, like our next one, have never been away. Not for a minute. Hit after hit has been coming in at us from her latest album, Who's Zooming Who? So let's go live to the Premier Center in Detroit for the one and only Aretha Franklin. If I'm shattered I say the past is the past and it no longer matters I made my mind up, I can make it I'll be fine even if I'm not a beggar I'll keep surviving Another night without you Another night, I know I can get through Another night, it's only Another night, I won't be lonely Another night, another night Another night, there ain't much Another night without your touch I used to search through the crowd to find you But I don't feel like it now so don't look behind you You better pace it, I want to call it I hit my stride when the evening is falling I'm gonna make it Another night without you Another night, I know I can get through Another night, it's only Another night, I won't be lonely Another night, another night Another night, there ain't much Another night without your touch And when the music is loud And the people are laughing I'm gonna step on out, I won't be down Gonna stand my ground for just another night Oh yes I am, another night You were phasing out my sweet and I knew it You didn't give a damn how I got through But like you I am someone else too Always left you and me behind, no time for loose I made my diamond, there's a painting I'll be fine even if I gotta paint it I'll keep somebody special with Another night without you Another night, I know I can get through Another night, there ain't much Mommy, I don't need you to be bringing me down Another night, another night When I'm gone, oh, it's a funeral I'm all made of now, yes I am, you know I am Morton, you tell us the nominees And since I have the envelope and you don't I'll open it and announce the winner And the nominations for Favorite Soul Rhythm Members Video Single are We're gonna rock and roll, we're gonna rock and roll I'm singing about the world I'm singing about the world It's a moment of a lifetime Yes, I'm singing about the world It's a moment of a lifetime It's a moment of a lifetime And the winner is Saving all my love for you, Whitney Houston Outrageous Thank you so very much, God bless you all, I love you Thank you so very much, God bless you all, I love you Thank you so very much, God bless you all, I love you In the middle, Kireen, Kireen B I've always loved the things I can love That's all I can do Highly recommend beer with character Together, together, together We can make dreams come true Together, together, together Let us be Let us be Let us be In 1980, Bob Geldof, a member of the Boon Town Rats, told the world that he didn't like Mondays In late 1984, Bob told the world that he doesn't like to see people starving And he organized Band Aid, made up of British rock stars Bob's success with his Band Aid recording provides the inspiration for where we are in the world And it was a memorable moment when he paid us a visit that night and told us about the conditions in Africa I don't want to bring anybody down, but maybe it's the best way of making what you're really free, why you're really here tonight, come out through this song So thanks a lot everybody, let's hope it works But Bob's crowning achievement was the most astounding pop event ever Live Aid, a monumental, day-long global television event featuring performances by some of the top contemporary musical artists of the world All for African famine relief I know you never intended on becoming a hero, but like they're not now, you are one But perhaps above all else, the most important thing you've done is you've shown us what one man can do when he sets his mind to it You've made it hip to care, and now there's a whole new sense of hope here in the United States and around the world in general People are into helping people again, a trend I believe, thanks to you, will continue for a long time to come So I want to thank you Bob for letting us all become a part of your dream Hi Bob, not only did you show the world the pride of the starving millions, but you did something about it Thank you for letting me be part of it, good luck You know we've always tried with our partner David Crosby to write songs that had a lot to do with what's going on in this crazy world And Bob, in 1985, you gave us a place and a reason to sing them again You certainly did You created a new sense of community in our interests I suppose by this time of the evening you had to accept the fact that you have seriously and honestly changed the face of the 80s Which is a very important thing to do, except for the rest of us not just to praise you and laud you, but to carry on Thank you for this moment, top them all And tonight deserves to be a great night for him To present the award of appreciation in London, here is Roger Daltrey Thank you, thank you George, thank you very much I'm sure that everyone will agree with me that the person most deserving of the American Music Award of Appreciation in 1985 is really, is only one person Mr. Bob Geldof His extraordinary energy and his powerful feelings for the less fortunate touched the heart of the music industry It resulted in band aid, it was followed by the live aid concert, seen by worldwide audiences who responded with concern and generosity For his inspiring leadership, the American Music Award of Appreciation is presented to Bob Geldof Thank you very much It's a bit big to wear but I'll have it scaled down for tomorrow Talking about wearing things, nobody told me that tonight was a dress up occasion but I should have remembered from last year You're probably sick of seeing me wearing the same jacket for the past year, but then again unlike Phil Collins I didn't get a part in Miami Vice and then steal the clothes A lot of us, certainly everybody that's here tonight and over there in Los Angeles will remember the part we played in it, but it's a minor part And the main thing we did was to raise the issue, and when we raised the issue we collected the money as a result of raising that issue But greater still we made a huge political constituency for change And unless the politicians of the world recognise that constituency for change, where people are not prepared to sit down and watch another child die in their living rooms Then the people of Africa and the hungry people everywhere will go on crawling about the earth looking for a subsistence level While we wallow, really in the surplus of our imaginations And so amongst you four tonight, which I thank you for, the last year has been spent getting a lot of these awards I'm very proud of this, but I'm ambivalent about it because I got this because people were dying and because we did something for it And that's a terrible thing to win an award for Thank you Thank you. The nominees for favourite pop rock video by a group are The Arithmetic Tears for Fears I Don't Want You And Wham! And the winners are The winner is The winner is Sheila E. Oh, I'm sorry The winner is Wham! Thank you, thank you very much Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the fact that my friend Andrew isn't here I'm not going to lie to you, he missed his plane Secondly, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the American public for making last year an amazing year for us Thank you very much Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Ready for the sweet sensation, instant radiation You let me hold you for the first explosion We get a picture of our love and passion My arms will cover my lips, my slaughter You will no longer let it say We talk about love, love, love We talk about love Let me hold you for the first explosion Our arms will cover you All you gotta do, all you gotta do Take me, take me, take me Don't pass me by Share love with me A perfect explosion, explosion Don't make me cry Sooner or later All you gotta do, all you gotta do The battle begins I don't need words to describe my skills eyelid I like you. Kirin Rin-Nama At the beginning of the program, you said that there are a total of 27 awards for the nine episodes of the American Music Awards. In fact, there is one more very important award that is being awarded. It's called the Award of Merit. Merit? You shouldn't think that there are many merits when you get a merit. It's like a special award. That's right. It's a award that is given to people who have contributed in various ways to the music scene. For example, last year, country singer Loretta Lynn and the previous year, Michael Jackson won the most recent award. This year, what? Paul McCartney. He will be given the award. Didn't Paul McCartney receive the award before the 13th episode? In that sense, it's like, what? Now? We are living in the Beatles generation, so we are influenced by them. But now, even if young artists listen to various music, they still listen to the Beatles. It's a new world for us, so I thought they would have received it a long time ago. Anyway, it's a big deal. There are a lot of famous scenes from the acceptance scene and the Beatles generation. Please take a closer look. The host of this corner is Lano Ricci, who hosted the American Music Awards last year. The audience has kept me here. In fact, the proof of the pudding is Motown would not let me leave the city limits until I finish this album. In fact, Quiet is just kept. Barry Gordy is out back waiting to drive me back to the studio. But I really couldn't miss being a part of this very special presentation. And when you find out who's being honored, you'll understand why. Among the recent recipients of this prestigious award of merit, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, Michael Jackson, Loretta Lynn. All outstanding American music personalities. Tonight, for the first time, this award goes out of the country to England. This story starts in Liverpool, where in the early 1960s, groups like this were playing American rock and roll. But soon the Beatles were singing their own songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and the world started to listen. The Beatles effect on their fans gave new meaning to my favorite word, outrageous. When the 60s ended, so did the Beatles. After a little while, Paul became anxious to play for the people again. So he formed a group called Wings and hit the road. Hi Paul and all the gang. Congratulations on another award. I wanted to thank you for holding up your half of Bob Geldof at Live Aid. Heavy, very heavy character. What I like about you is that whatever you do, whether it's successful or failure, you've had a few, is that you have such fun, obviously. I've always respected that. Keep it up and lots of love and have a good time. This year, Paul wrote the theme for Spies Like Us, but it's not the first film to contain a McCartney song. It's been a hard day's night. I've been walking out like a dog. Help! I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody. Run! Run up to the mystery door. We all live in a yellow submarine. Yellow submarine. Yellow submarine. When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me. Speaking words of wisdom, steady feet. Living, living down. No more lonely nights. Never give another. No more lonely nights. Spies Like Us. As you know, I've grown up listening to your music. I don't mean to put it in a day or two, but I think probably the worst thing for all of us is when you guys weren't together. Now I see you and Artie are still doing things off and on, and I guess it'll never be bridge over troubled waters, but... Oh, sorry. Paul. Paul McCartney. I'm a serious crowd. Congratulations. I do hope to work with you again and just to watch you work because you are the best. And I felt like a child when I came over to Abbey Road with Danny to do the Spies Like Us video. I'm a serious crowd. I do hope to work with you again and just to watch you work because you are the best. And I feel like a child when I came over to Abbey Road with Danny to do the Spies Like Us video. Every and every. In recent years, Paul has shared some of his songs with pop-American stars. Hey, Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Paul, we thought a good person to kind of sum things up would be one of the leaders of the new British invasion and an inspiration for the song Hey Jude. John's son, Julian Lennon. Paul, I just wanted to say my father would be as happy as I am to see you honored in this way tonight. I just want to say congratulations and here's to the future. Before I pass the hat over, Paul, I'd like to say also that the first time we met in Los Angeles, I want to say that your personality and your hospitality was wonderful. And over the years, I think if I can consider myself a songwriter in any way, I can truly say that you have been a great inspiration in what I've been doing. And I love you, brother. And now to present the award of merit here in London, England, Phil Collins. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, everybody. Before I get on with business, I'd like to say what a personal pleasure this is for me to be here doing this for Mr. McCartney, because it doesn't seem like 20 years ago, over 20 years ago when I was actually in a hard day's night. And here I am now presenting this man with this award. I shall read it out. Because for over two decades, he has been responsible for enormous changes in the sound and content of music, and because his songwriting, recordings and performances have had an unprecedented impact on the world, uniting generations in their enjoyment of music. The American Music Award of Merit is presented to Paul McCartney, January 27th, 1986. Thank you, everybody. Thank you, Phil. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much everybody. Thank you Phil. Wonderful man. Wonderful man. I'd like to thank a lot of people, but I'll thank just a few. First of all I'd like to thank Lionel for dressing so wonderfully. Thank you for dressing up this evening. Fabulous man. You know you come from the studio, but this is ridiculous. Anyway, I would seriously though like to thank some people without whom this wouldn't have been possible and I'll put it down because it's heavy. I'd like to thank first of all my mum and dad who would have been very proud to have been here. Thank you. I'd like to thank all the people who gave me this award and the friends who've turned up in London and in Los Angeles tonight. There's too many of them to go into detail, but thank you very much for showing up. It wouldn't have been the same without you. I'll tell you what, these things are about the most nerve wracking things I think that any of us do, you know, and I'm certainly no exception to this. But I'm going to carry on just as if nothing had happened, right Bob? I would like to thank some other people without whom as I say this would not have been possible. All the people who gave me the award, but especially the people who helped me get the award, I'd like to thank very specially George Ringo and Julian's dad John. Thank you very much. I love you. Thank you. Thank you. God bless you all. Peace on earth. Thank you. The nominees for favourite soul R&B video by a male are Philip Bailey with Phil Collins Prince You hear that? Stevie Wonder And the winner is, I think, our favourite Stevie Wonder. Thank you. Wow. I didn't, um, shut up. I really didn't come here for this. I really didn't come here for this reason. But, uh, could you all, could you all, could you all, um, run the video again so I can look at it and see how it looks? Thank you very much. Thanks to my family and all of my staff and everybody. I love you. And now for a moment I've been waiting for. He was the host of the American Music Awards in 1981. And now it's time to welcome him back. Ladies and gentlemen, Teddy Pendergrass. I just want to have fun. I just want to be with you. Doing all the wonderful things. I wish I could turn time back when you were mine. I wouldn't be so all alone. Oh, I wouldn't be here without you. Girl, there's something I must confess. Smile on my face is only a shield. How do the way I really feel? Walking in that night and holding conversation with you. I'm lonely myself. Just ain't no fun. I want to love you too. If I had read the signs, the times when you were crying. Oh, my soul may shine, but I wouldn't let me see you. Baby, I'd walk a mile just to reconcile. Oh, I'd be a princess. Never like dinner for two. Baby. Oh, well. Try to be it all alone. I need someone to call my own. I want to love. I want to love. I need to love. I want to love you too. Girl, there's something I must confess. Smile on my face is only a shield. How do the way that I really feel? Walking in that night and holding conversation with only myself. Just ain't no fun. I want to love. I want to love you too. Love the two. Love the two. Love the two. Love the two. Love the two. Love the two. Love the two. I want it. I want it, baby. Love the two. Love Alright, baby. Me and you. Me and you. You and me. Me and you. You and me. Come on. Alright, alright, alright, baby. Me and you. Alright, baby. Me and you. Yeah! We want that! We want that! Together, together, together. Together, together, together. We can make dreams come true. Together, together, together, together. Let us be. We want that! USA for Africa, we are the world. USA for Africa. Alright, John, why don't you list the nominees and I'll hold the envelope. Okay, right. And the nominees for favorite rock-pop album are... Born in the USA, Bruce Springsteen. Like a virgin, Phil Collins. Born in the USA, Bruce Springsteen. Alright, here we go. And the winner is... Born in the USA, Bruce Springsteen. Bruce is not here tonight, but God bless him and we accept this award for him. He thanks you very much. It's time for tonight's final special awards. The best way to tell the story of these awards is to start near the end. Just a year ago tonight, last year's American Music Awards closed with Lionel Richie being joined on stage by all the stars and singing a special version of Let It Be. Right after the American Music Awards last year, a lot of us joined other stars from around the country and hurried over to A&M Studios for an extraordinary event. But before we go any further, let's go back to the beginning. Harry Belafonte is an actor, a producer and one of our most gifted musical personalities. I have been on the National Advisory Council... But as busy as he's been in the entertainment business, he's always found time for Civil Rights, the Peace Corps and so many other humanitarian activities. There's courage here, there's a strength here that's eternal. So it wasn't surprising when he approached Ken Craig with the idea of American musical stars doing something to help millions of people starving in Africa. And Ken responded by bringing Quincy Jones into the project to help gather a group of top stars for a recording that would raise money for famine relief. But first a very special song was needed and Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie agreed to write it. They put in long hours getting just the right message and melody, a song that would appeal to the ears and the hearts of the world. Then on January 28th, we all got together at the studio. There was nothing but good feelings in that room. Old friends said hello and lots of new friendships were made and some very special memories. There were laughs when everybody started to sing Harry's banana boat song. We had come very far to go home. And there were tears when Stevie Wonder introduced a young woman from Ethiopia. She said, I'm going to be singing in English on behalf of my country. We thank you for all you have done. Thank you very much. Good morning. Good morning. And then the session was over. We all felt good about it. But I don't think we had any idea of what had really happened. It was a song, it was an idea, and it was a prayer that was heard around the world. On behalf of Rome, Georgia, we are part of the world. In fact, on April 5th, it was played simultaneously on 6,000 radio and television stations and the world responded. African Famine Relief Fund. We are the world. We are the children. We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones who make a brighter day. So let's start giving. There's a choice we make here. We'll take it our own lives. We'll make a better day just you and me. It's true we make a better day just you and me. And now it's time to honor the man who's concerned got the USA for Africa project started. The American Music Awards of Appreciation goes to Harry Belafonte. Thank you. Thank you very, very much. A few years ago in the state of New York, a group of artists came together to raise their voices on behalf of some local folk who were in need. That night, a man by the name of Pete Seeger, a man by the name of Donnie McClain, a man by the name of Harry Chapin and myself in a cold theater talked about the plight of the underclass. Harry Chapin said that he had decided that he was going to spend the rest of his life and the gift that he had been given in the service of people who were in need, that he was going to see to it that perhaps through his efforts, by the end of this century, there would be no more hunger on this globe. Harry Chapin died five years ago. It was a cruel death and a great loss. But he had thrown a pebble into a pond and I saw the ripples. It reached Geldof, it reached me, it reached Willie Nelson, it reached millions of people around the world. I accept this award tonight on behalf of all those pebbles that have fallen to all those ponds everywhere in the world and all those ripples that have made a difference. I particularly want to acknowledge all the men and women, the thousands of volunteers who are in Africa at this very moment feeding the hungry, caring for the ill, and perhaps the most significant ripple of them all would be the one that will reach out on the 25th of May in this country when all hands will come together in a project called Hands Across America to finally wipe out hunger in this country forever. I think that it's important for everyone to know that art is not only supposed to show life as it is, it's also supposed to show life as it should be. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge four people who really made a great difference in this project. Two for moving it forward. One is our leader, Ken Cragan. Quincy Jones, who made us all leave our egos at the door. And the two artists who without their great gift would not have inspired us in quite the same way as we were inspired. Mr. Lionel Richie and Mr. Michael Jackson. Well, in addition, I'd like to thank four wonderful people. I already did all that. I know you did. I'll thank them too as well. I'd like to bring them up. Can we? Yes. I'd like to bring up Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Quincy Jones and Ken Cragan. Are they here? Thank you. Thank you, partner. Why don't we try to get all the performers that were there tonight, that night, a year ago, so we can sing We Are the World together. LaToya, the Jacksons, can you come up on the stage? Where are they? Jeffrey Osborne? All right. Is everybody coming up? Yeah. All right. We are the world. We are the children. Elizabeth? We are the ones to make a brighter day. So let's start again. Sing along, would you? There's a choice we're making. We're saving our own lives. It's true, we make a better day. Just you and me. Everybody sing with us. We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones to make a brighter day. So let's start again. There's a choice we're making. We're saving our own lives. It's true, we make a better day. Just you and me. We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones to make a brighter day. So let's start again. There's a choice we're making. We're saving our own lives. It's true, we make a better day. Just you and me. Sing Michael. We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones to make a brighter day. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. In my life, there's love, courage, and... I love it. Together. We can make dreams come true. Together. Find courage in our hearts. Love is twice as strong. Sorrow half the meaning. Together. We can make dreams come true. Even dark endless nights. Must turn into new days. In those black stormy clouds. Eventually, they'll go away. Because love is ours. It gives us the courage. To walk through life forever. Hand in hand. So let us begin. Together. We can make dreams come true. Together. Find courage in our hearts. Even dark endless nights. Must turn into new days. In those black stormy clouds. Eventually, they'll go away. Love is twice as strong. Sorrow half the meaning. Together. Let us begin. Let us begin. Stop the season in the sand. Stop the season in the sand. My heart is shaking. I want to stay like this forever. Stop the season in my dreams. The wind blows in the south. My heart is shaking. 5th of May, 24th, 7.03pm. Please look forward to it. A single battle begins. I don't need words. In the middle, Kirin. Kirin League.
